    Herts Away

Ach, it was just that myself, Busta, DosserJoe, Burn_Broomfield and a few others were wasted after the game and attempted to get into Laser Quest. The wee ginger guy behind the counter told us we couldn't get in because it was fully booked. We all just sort of looked around at the completely empty place, and then back at him. He then said something "okay, the truth is I can't let you in because you have all been drinking heavily". So we vowed to pre-book it for the next Tyncastle trip!

Just clocked 'Flow's post that it's a 7.45pm kick off. I can see a few casualties!

We'll pre-book it this time. Mind the Polaris cider.

Looking forward to it, Tynie away is always a belter. From Jagermeister for breakfast in the Haymarket, to being refused entry to Laser Quest for being meltit and Cloudy buying porn after the game from a wee Chinese fella.

I've always liked those lovely Jambos.
  6. Because Yassin Moutouakil is as bad a player down, so when Aberdeen got a man sent off it just evened up the teams.
  7. Why not? He seems to be hitting a bit of form with us and you'd assume he must be enjoying scoring goals and playing regularly, Everton fans will still think he's shit, and by the sounds of things he's not particularly rated at all down there by the management either. I would be quite surprised if his loan deal wasn't extended to be honest, unless it was a money issue.
  8. I think the biggest difference between the two is that Jutkiewicz looked like he knew how to play the striker's role in that there wasn't any problem with his positioning and awareness. His biggest problem was that he didn't look sharp or confident, and there were questions raised about his actual ability with the ball at his feet. He's shown though that with a bit of self-belief and a few games under his belt, he can play a bit. Moutouakil's problem is that he has no defensive awareness whatsoever and his positioning is shocking. Even when he's not up the park, it's evident. A couple of times in the second half, Murphy was left with two men because Yassin was standing in our box sleeping. A full backs first priority is to defend, and his defensive qualities are truly minimal. If we're going to prevent goals leaking from the right back slot once other teams clock on, then we need a full back who knows where to be and how to read the movement of opposition players. Yassin doesn't offer us that. That's not a confidence issue IMO.
  9. Oh aye, I assumed you got it - it wasn't exactly subtle, I was more just pointing out that everyone reading the thread would have got what you actually meant, and how pathetic an attempt by SteveDiggle it was. But so far, the thread shouldn't be here because there's tons of positives, anyone who thinks Moutouakil is poor is just spoiled by the football they watch, and you hate Muslims. It's good times, and a lot more than I was excepting when Busta started the thread during the game on Saturday!
  10. I think he's trying to make it out as though you don't like Moutouakil because he's a Muslim or something, when it's blatantly obvious to the rest of us exactly what you meant.
  11. Because your post tried to suggest that because there's this wonderful list of positives, then it's unbelievable that some folk are discussing how they don't think Moutouakil is a good player. That, in my opinion, is bollocks.
  12. I don't really see the big deal on a forum though. If someone was shouting "you're fucking shite!" to him during a game, then obviously that's different. But if someone thinks he's shite and states as much on here, I don't see the problem. There are still threads on positives, but it's football fans we're talking about - so the negative threads are always going to outweigh the positive ones. It doesn't mean the negative threads should just be dismissed. I would suggest that football fans in general concentrate on and exaggerate the negatives, it has nothing to do with this board. I don't really see the problem with that either though. The reason the negatives are concentrated on are because we all want the best for Motherwell and we all want to improve. If someone has an opinion with regards to that (be it how the right back isn't good enough, how Ruddy's pass to Hateley is suicidal, how Gannon's switch at half time cost us the game etc) then it's going to be discussed. Just because folk don't post up a load of positive threads, doesn't mean no one is acknowledging them. I'm delighted with how we're performing in the league but I'd assume everyone feels exactly the same, so I wouldn't see any point in starting a thread about it.
  13. And whit? So because we're having a good season, that means no one is allowed to discuss on an internet forum whether or not they think a particular player is good? Bollocks. It's a football forum and if enough people think a player is poor, it's going to get discussed. If you disagree, then state your case but don't go down the same old route as a few folk on here by just dismissing a thread because it doesn't fit in with your list of positives.
  14. I'm going to start hanging about with nethertonwellfan in Daniels during home games for my own safety.

  15. Is Hutchison back? If we can go with a back four of Saunders - Reynolds - Hutchison - Hammell, Ruddy doesn't try to pass the ball to Hateley on the edge of our own box, and we don't make mental changes at half-time if everything's going well... then I can see us getting a point from the game. However, I fear a drubbing.

    Aberdeen

The main difference is though that guys like Butcher and Malpas took absolutely ages to make changes when the whole ground could see they were needed, whereas Gannon seems to want to make changes when the whole ground can see there's absolutely no need for them.

    Aberdeen

Cannae be arsed reading through the earlier pages, but Gannon's comments on the official site seem to suggest the switch at half-time was purely tactical. It cost us two points today. I can't understand why the hell changes would be made at half-time. There are no explanations whatsoever, assuming it wasn't caused by injury. The short pass from Ruddy to Hateley that we seem to try and do every game is also absolutely suicidal and I can't believe it made another appearance today. But overall, not too unhappy with the point. Still only one defeat this season, but if we'd turned some draws into wins this year we'd be absolutely flying.

John Ruddy by a country mile. It would have been Jamie Murphy if Gannon hadn't shifted him over to the right in the second half. The tactical changes at half-time cost us two points today, and I'm fully confident Murphy would have ran away with the MoM award if he'd been left behind the two attackers like he was in the first half.
  19. With his pace, he would probably be an outstanding right winger if he could sort out his final ball. He's never a full back though. His defensive awareness and positioning are absolutely shocking. I hope to fuck we keep Ruddy & Jutkiewicz after January, but I'm pretty indifferent when it comes to Yassin.

    Loanees

I'd keep them all. Ruddy's the darts and no, there's not a chance in hell that Fraser is better. And why would Coke leave? He's not on loan.
  21. As I posted in the St Mirren thread, my team for Saturday would be: Ruddy Saunders --- Hutchison --- Reynolds --- Hammell Humphrey --- Jennings --- Lasley --- O'Brien Jutkiewicz --- Sutton
  22. Gannon got it completely wrong last night, but there are a few players who just haven't performed in the last two matches. Both Coke & Hateley look out of form, Craigan has been dreadful, on Saturday Forbes looked like he was beginning to believe his own hype, Moutaouakil's positioning is still awful and Murphy has been poor. Our central midfield area was originally very good, but it seems to be stagnating. It's about time Gannon shook things up by giving Jennings a proper chance and bringing Lasley back into the fold, at the same time reminding Coke, Hateley & Forbes that they aren't automatic picks. I'd like to see numerous changes for the Hearts game on Saturday, and I'd go with: Ruddy Saunders -- Reynolds -- Hutchison -- Hammell Humphrey -- Jennings -- Lasley -- O'Brien Sutton -- Jutkiewicz
  23. We left with about 15 minutes to go (at 2-0) so we could make the 9.24pm train. Best decision we made all night.

    First Well Game?
