  1. Jim Leighton on the radio just now talking about how McGhee & Leitch should have sacked him at the start of the season, but they've left it til after two games into the season and now he'll struggle big time to get another job. McGhee's a fucking c**t of the highest order.
  2. That's what I'd have thought, but the guy on the radio says it's Hately at right back and Craigan partnering Saunders in the middle of defence. Might be a load of shite right enough.
  3. Ruddy Hately - Craigan - Saunders - Hammell O'Brien - Coke - Reynolds - Forbes Jutkiewicz - Murphy Is that the line-up?

    Signing #6

The opinions of anyone who describes a good ball into the box as a "yummy cross" are immediately null and void.

Dunno who Corry Jenkins is, but Sinky posted up a link to a profile on the Man Utd site for Corry Evans, then deleted it!

    In's And Out's

I wouldn't say that. Just because he has an extensive knowledge of the English lower leagues doesn't mean he isn't scouring Scotland for players as well. And Liam Buchanan is hardly a "hidden gem" as he's been regularly scoring goals for years.

    In's And Out's

Don't see why not. He was banging them in for Cowdenbeath a couple of years ago which, although not the greatest of levels, was still an impressive record - and I think I'm correct in saying he's been scoring goals in the First Division now with Partick Thistle. Makes sense that the next step could be the SPL. A proven goalscorer, albeit at lower league level, as back-up to Sutton & Murphy would be a decent move IMO. Still young as well is he not? EDIT: His Soccerbase stats are fairy decent. Aye, I reckon I'd take him.
  8. Must agree with the masses that not washing yer hands after a lash is manky! That said, if there was no water in the sink I think I could handle not washing my hands til later on. I don't make a habit of pishing all over my fingers.

    New Signings

Oh aye, forgot about Hateley! Looks another good signing though, wasn't expecting much if truth be told but I've been very impressed by him so far!

    New Signings

Giles Coke - Cracking name and a cracking player. If he keeps up his early promise then he'll be one of our best players this season. Class (A) signing. John Ruddy - Looks like a decent keeper though I don't think I've seen him being genuinely tested that much yet. Looks like a fucking machine though, and should be capable of wiping out anyone who gets in his way. Chris Humphrey - Lightening pace but so far his final ball has left a lot to be desired. That said, I kind of get the impression from what I've seen of him that he might be trying too hard to impress everyone as soon as possible. Once he gets settled in, he could be a very dangerous player to have. I seem to remember Hibs going to Ibrox and winning 3-0 thanks soley to using Ivan Sproule's pace! Steve Jennings - I think there's early signs there that he could be a very decent player to have able to bring into the side when we need to go with a "get stuck in" approach based on the fact he appears to be a no nonsense type player who's strong in the challenge. That said, I don't understand how anyone can make any real judgement on him so far as he's barely featured. If the talk about him from Tranmere fans and Gannon is correct, then he should be a very capable player once he settles in.
  11. All in all we just need Giles Coke on the ball.
  12. A significant number of our support need someone to target every season. I dunno the reasons for it, maybe folk just have such shite lives that they need someone to berate on a Saturday in order to make themselves feel better. Whatever the reasons, it looks like Fitzpatrick isn't going to feature much this season, so the East Stand will need another Motherwell player to single out. I actually predicted that it would be Jennings on an another thread where a Tranmere fan said he was a confidence player. It would be typical Motherwell to land a talented player who plays well when he's confident, and then completely shatter his confidence by claiming he's shite.
  13. We just mauled Kilmarnock and there's still comments criticising Slane, Humphrey & Jennings. Fur-fux-ache, get a fucking grip. Bawbags.

Of course it isn't going to be Wellbeck.
  15. I saw this earlier and was a bit bored so I e-mailed Sky Sports about them pandering to the Old Firm. Don't have a copy of my e-mail but I'll post up any reply I get.

Aye, we need to keep in mind just how many youth players each Premiership club actually has before getting too excited! I'm not expecting anyone I've ever heard of before. Would be delighted if it's a known name though!

Aye, click to go back a few pages on this thread.
  18. We don't need no MDMA, We don't need no speed or crack, No puffing the herb or chasing the dragon, No LSD, or pills, or smack, Hey, Pablo, We've got Giles Coke. (to the tune of "Another Brick In The Wall", if there's anyone on the planet who didn't realise that).
  19. I can't work out the tune, but I demand that this is chanted.

    In's And Out's

Always nice to have a wee bit of transfer excitement after the first few weeks of activity died down! Clocked the name Paul Gallagher on the thread, I'd cream myself if we got him on loan - I'm a big fan of his, hasn't quite made the breakthrough at Blackburn, but whenever he's been given a chance in the first team he's impressed. He was also shit-hot at Plymouth last season and I was one of a few folk on here calling for him to be included in Scotland squads throughout the year. That said, I can't see it happening whatsoever. Not only is he a player that would be attracting bigger clubs than us with regards to a loan deal, he's also now 25 and should be looking at a permanent move to further his career rather than another loan move. Like most loan deals, I reckon it'll be a youth player we know nothing, or very little, about.
  21. I thought booting the keeper was pretty much the idea in pre-war football!
  22. Personally one of the most enjoyable seasons I can remember was the season we finished bottom and were saved by Falkirk's gash stadium.
