The away end was fairly full that day was it not? Granted, most 'Well fans were too busy doing the conga to have seen his performance...

    In's And Out's

Ability wise, correct. But they were examples of defenders who are constantly favourites to win the ball when it's in the air, and do so the majority of the time. We don't have anyone like that, and so having a keeper who can't take cross balls just because even more of a problem.

    In's And Out's

Michael Fraser is a top class shot stopper and has a great kick on him, but he's absolutely horrific at cross balls. I'm perfectly happy to have him as a back up ready to step in should it be required, but we definitely need someone who can command his area - especially as we don't have any defenders in the mould of say a Marvin Andrews or Rob Jones.

This guy's on loan, and the other three are free transfers.

I'd heard last night that we were in for a 6'4" English keeper on loan from Everton, but I didnae bother posting it up as I didn't have an answer for the usual "Source!?" replies! Had a swatch on the Toffees site last night and saw this character fitted the bill, and was really hoping it was him as he looked like he could do a very good job! Great news!
  7. Aye, alright squire.
  8. "Ah've always wanted to be a fitba' player and Ah've been training hard for this, just like my heroes Kris Boyd and Barry Ferguson," he said, before taking a swig from his cheap cider and vomiting down a drain.
  9. Is it worth stating the absolute obvious by pointing out that this article isn't actually real, just for the benefit of a few of our slower posters who don't seem to understand why a professional football manager is talking about goats?
  10. "Jamie Murphy - who turns 20 next week - opened his European account with a fantastic hat-trick." Are there any newspapers or television stations in Scotland that actually get things right?
  11. After xhiros Did you have that in Scotland and what trumbetuat with great throughout the week, the presentation worthy of the qualification and not returned to work dot, dot blah not returned to work. Today you have an office next to the Albanians and show your fans vlonjatë not vlonjatë, that at least you left burrëria. Since Gjika Rescue, Geri Çipi, Eqerem Memushi, Latif Gjondeda, Petraq Bifsha, Ardi Behari and to the new player on the team not traveled with any team in Scotland, leave before the media (not you worry, you learn all cameras ) and ask for a pardon for one of what gatuat in Scotland, deliberate or unwitting if it. Ask forgiveness of your fans and all Albanians if you left a little spunk and two words from the Scottish trip. Cup a Republic, not enough to wipe what happened yesterday, not enough to delete anything that happened yesterday evening, but enough to ask forgiveness for the collective us zbusni trial and that ndiejmë shame, shame, not for ourselves but for our team, for our city, Vlora.
  12. To be honest, I'm pretty indifferent to the Fir Park situation. We won't sell out, and Fir Park is hardly a red hot cauldron of atmosphere. The only reasons for moving the game back to Motherwell would be purely sentimental. The only problem I have with moving grounds is that people end up sitting all over the place. At Fir Park, you know where the atmosphere is going to come from and like minded fans can gather together to get the chanting going. In Airdrie, you can end up surrounded by folk who want to sit in silence. However, at times last night there was a decent atmosphere all around the ground, so it can be achieved. The only downside to playing in Airdrie is having to get there!

Pie & Bovril was full of St.Mirren fans claiming to be delighted that they'd missed out on the Europa League. Personally, I'm delighted that we made it! The normal close season boredom has been completely replaced by excitement and interest, with weekly competative games in Europe, quality young players taking their chances in the senior side, and new signings arriving on a steady regular basis! Fucking belter of a pre-season.
  14. Hostel World it up for cheap digs. There's a guy on TAMB who lived in Bucharest that's offering any info or advice here. Won't make this one I'm afraid; just too close to Oslo. Might make the next round when we get there though!
  15. As long as we can go into the second leg in Lanarkshire with a decent chance of progressing (like Nancy), then I'll be delighted.
  16. I'm really, really looking forward to seeing Slane in the SPL this season. He's a right good player but his biggest weapon in the coming season could be the fact that he's pretty much came out of no-where. Teams like St. Mirren and Hamilton Accies will probably see the inclusion of this 17-year old unknown as just an example of Gannon giving youth a chance - not actually knowing that the kid's about to tear them to utter shreds!
  17. "I think Flamurtari will be the victors again, especially after the win last week," said Memushi.
  18. He's been dropped for one game, and now has to prove he's worth getting back into the team. That's how football squads work.
  19. I am by no means a Michael Fraser fan and I think it's vital we get in another keeper, but that's a bit harsh considering he had nowt to do all night.
  20. Paul Slane is fucking dynamite.
  21. I was hoping there would be a selection for the wee ball boy who had his face taken off.
  22. Well there's yer fuckin' dinner. Bit disappointed at conceeding and not reaching double figures, but hey-ho - 8-1's good enough I guess. Never in doubt.
