    Exclusive: Player #3

For such an under-performing, lazy tosser the Northampton fans seem awfully upset that he's left. Anyway, Gannon doesn't come across as the kind of manager who'd tolerate laziness or c***s with attitude problems. I'd rather have a good player who needs a kick up the arse than a shite player.

    In's And Out's

If Gannon was genuinely looking to make a few quid from transfer fees, it would surely make sense to get players signed on two or three year deals?

Are the club providing him with boots and shinnies, or is he bringing his own gear?

Hopefully the deal doesn't go tits up, big Charlie's my new favourite player!

    Hat-tricks

Pretty sure Clarkson's hat-trick was against United, and if memory serves the following week we played St. Johnstone in the cup with Clarky netting a double and McDonald scoring on his debut. Faddy's hat-trick was superb. I seem to remember his first being a tap in after a rebound, followed by the cheeky wee chipped penalty? And then the third goal when he picked the ball up inside his own half and tore the entire Livi side to pieces!

    Hat-tricks

David Ferrere in the second half against Hibernian on his debut stands out for me.

Sky Sports News says Jonathan Tahoe as well.
  10. Pie & Bovril will go into meltdown if this happens.
  11. They used to sell prints of it in that wee painting/framing place in the EK town centre, just up from the petshop. Dunno if they still do though, that was years ago.
  12. I know what you're saying mate. It's a system that with the right players could work wonders in the SPL, especially against dross like St Mirren & Hamilton Accies. Given time, I reckon you could be right that Gannon could have us doing well - but I think he will still need time to get to that point. McGhee fucked off leaving us in a complete state and although the early signs are looking relatively positive, it's still going to take time for him to get a settled squad and repair the damage done when the Whore headed up North. Whether he can do that in one pre-season, or whether it will take most of next season remains to be seen. Personally, I think we should be happy avoiding relegation next season and look forward to the Gannon Revolution in 2010/11!

    Back The Boys....

I reckon it'll be the same turn out for the Flamurtari home tie as it was for the Llanelli home game. Everyone knows it's not going to sell out, so folk aren't going to rush to buy tickets. Not to mention plenty of people just buying on the night.
  15. We're gonnae finish 8th, but reach the Scottish Cup semi-final and win the League Cup.

    In's And Out's

Gannon's only been in the job for about 3 weeks and during that time he's had trips to Wales & Albania to deal with. Two signings so far is brilliant IMO.

    Flamurtari

So you thought Slane was our Man of the Match?
  18. Aye, Craig Gupwell. I used to play boys club footy with his big brother Andy. Know he was in the U19s last year, dunno if he's any good though. EDIT: Just saw the above reply. Both Gupwells were naturally nicknamed "Guppy" and Craig was definitely a centre half. Reckon it would be too much of a coincidence not to be Craig Gupwell that played yesterday!
  19. That's what I thought as well. Was the "wildcard" deadline not Wednesday night? And I'm pretty sure we signed him before hand? I got the impression that he was available but not fit enough to feature so was left at home.

    Can We Do It?

Is "dude" a word that is used regularly in Albania, or did you learn your English by watching repeats of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure!? To be honest, I'm not particularly interested in typing out all the reasons why I'm 100% confident we'll win at home and go into the next round, as most of them have already been identified. I posted before tonight's game that the heat would play a big factor and that we would lose, probably by one goal. If I was wrong I would have came on and admitted as much, but I wasn't. And so for the next leg, I'll happily predict that we'll win by two goals. Again, if I'm wrong I'll come on and hold my hands up, but I'm perfectly confident that I'll be too busy joining in the "how are you getting to Hamburg!?" chat to bother. Also keep in mind that if you weren't eternally optimistic while being a Motherwell and Scotland fan, you'd end up killing ourself. Or worse, you'd end up like some of the moaning-faced bastards on this forum.

    Can We Do It?

Says it all for me. Looking forward to next week so we can get this tie polished off and look forward to the next round, especially as we'll have gotten rid of this Flamurtari rocket. A bit of banter between fans is belting, but his patter is absolutely chronic.

    Can We Do It?

Personally I find the Dutch very friendly. As for being happier in Albania because the sun comes out, I beg to differ. I fucking hate the sun!
