    Sad times indeed. RIP.
  3. The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards Nijholt for boss. I reckon it would be a good appointment, it would provide a bit of excitement amongst the fans in that he's something a bit different to your standard Duffys and Williamsons, he genuinely wants to be Motherwell manager, and would bring with him a knowledge of some European lower leagues. That said, I reckon we'd need to sort him out with a British assistant with a good knowledge of both the Scottish & English leagues. Unfortunately, I don't think McCart would consider leaving Celtic for an assistant's role.
  4. I'd be perfectly happy with that.
  5. Anyway - good manager, c**t of a guy. Catch ye.
  6. Aye, she's riding that David Graham c**t that played for Accies.

The best ones are when you see an entire family - the mum, dad, and kids, and sometimes even a bonus grandparent if you're lucky - all kitted out in the h*n or Tim trackies.
  9. I believe all your concerns and criticisms have been answered in a recent speech by a Steelmen Online spokesman...

Really liking it. Must admit, at first I was slightly under-whelmed when it first cropped up on the official site. Not for any particular reason, I have no idea what I was expecting. I guess I was just expecting to be instantly blown away after all the build up or something. But that feeling soon vanished, and now I'm delighted with the result. Not sure if I'll bother buying it as I tend not to bother, but it's still a cracking shirt and most likely the best in the SPL.
  11. He walked out on Reading to move to Leicester, walked out on Leicester to join Wolves, and left Millwall due to "bad form", only to take the Brighton job 13 days later. Now I'm not a mathematician either, but I'm pretty sure three clubs would be "several".
  12. Neither of those two posters have said that they want rid of McGhee because he doesn't "live and breathe Motherwell FC", which is what you claimed.
  13. I don't think anyone on here has actually said they want McGhee to go because he doesn't "live and breathe" Motherwell FC. All folk have said is that if he goes, which IMO is very likely, then they won't lose too much sleep over it (myself included). That is absolutely nothing like the Celtic fans and Gordon Strachan. I'm 99% sure he's off to Aberdeen. If he's going he needs to go now. We don't have time for another summer of him waiting until check-in for the Megabus to Aberdeen before deciding not to.
  14. The reason I don't see us being in the shit if that happens though is we can still put out a half decent side. I'm not for once suggesting having Fraser, Murphy & Lasley in there instead of Smith, Hughes & Klimpl makes us a better side - in fact, it does make us a weaker side. However, I still don't believe it makes us as weak as teams like St. Mirren & Hamilton Accies. The Buddies will lose Dorman this summer, and the Accies look set to lose McCarthy, McArthur & Easton - and that leaves them with utter dross, and much worse than our side. We are not in as bad a position as that, IMO.

  16. Ach, I reckon we'll be 6th or 7th - basically another mid-table season. We don't have the squad or resources to challenge teams like Hearts & Dundee Utd throughout the whole year, but we're still too good to end up with the mediocre First Division pish masquerading as SPL clubs such as St Mirren & Hamilton Accies. So aye, I reckon mid-table - either top of the bottom six, or bottom of the top six, with possibly two quarter finals in both domestic cups, and knocked out in the 2nd or 3rd round of Europa League qualifying (depending on the luck of the draw). And I'd say that would be a fairly decent season for us.

    Europe, Here We Come!

Due to the Norway game and the playoffs (when we get there!) I'll only be able to go to anywhere cheap and easily reached - from both a finances & annual leave point of view. So I'm hoping for Lisburn Distillery in the first qualifying round!
  18. As expected Captain Sensible has admitted on P&B that we was on the wind-up. As I said yesterday, I fully expect us to be in the Europa League next season.
  19. He's not "Motherwell-minded".
  20. I'll give it 7 minutes and 24 seconds til the inevitable "He's not even left yet and there's threads like this on here! Typical of these boards! etc" post. Anyway, Luc Nijholt always crops up at these times. Cannae actually think who else.
