  1. "Yesterday for once mfc wasn't tucked away in there corner of motherwell being so quiet nobody give a shite about them, They were in the town centre as proud as could be. In the faces of old firm fans and saying, this is our town." And all to a background of Bruce Springsteen singing My Hometown. Then again, maybe not.
  2. I'm not saying we shouldn't sing "If you hate Neil Lennon", in fact I'll gie it laldy on that one. Just to be aware that the pro-Celtic media will latch onto anything to deflect criticism of him or Celtic supporters and we don't want dragged into the firing line if we can help it.
  3. With all the flak currently flying about the Neil Lennon incident at Tynecastle and threatened subsequent actions we have to be aware of our own actions on the day. Some press are reporting that both Hearts and Celtic face consequences because of the songs they sang on the night. About time too, although the other culprits across Glasgow are conveviently forgotten. It make it very important that we, as a support, do not react in the wrong way at the Final. Let's keep the songs purely football based. If that includes "If you hate Neil Lennon" then we would argue that is because of his actions and comments as a manager and not because of any sectarian anti-Northern Ireland Catholic reason. Celtic fans would think otherwise and no doubt make it a reason to point fingers at our support as they are currently at their paranoid and deflecting worst. We have to be careful on the day so let's keep the moral high ground and don't let the team down.
  4. Looking at those pics it makes me thankful that the press haven't cottoned on and turned this into the Phil O'Donnell Final like they did with the Davie Cooper Final!
  5. I'm sure I've still got some of those stickers, and some car ones, lying about the house somewhere.
  6. I don't get the Sunday name thing. Fair enough with second names, eg Gary McAllister but can we not have the first names that the players were known by. Vic Davidson was never Victor and Kirkie Lawson was never Kirkwood. While I'm here, our goalie was Keith MacRae, not McRae.
  7. There's nothing to see here. Go away.

  8. spot the mistake from the Sunday Mail report... Rangers came close to conceding a penalty in 13 minutes when Madjid Bougherra brought down Franny Jeffers. The foul was right on the edge of the area and ref Mike Tumilty correctly awarded a freekick on the line. So that'll be a penalty then!
  9. Now it's three we might start getting a decison or two in our favour. Every end of season we get this pish where no Scottish referee has the bottle to give a decision against either of the Old Firm in case they are accused of showing favouritism. It truly is pathetic.
  10. A simple question would suffice...Do you recognise this? (and hold up a bar of soap)
  11. Last year tickets were £35, £30, £25 and family sections at £25 for adults and £5 for kids. But with Celtic involved this year I think we might be milked for a few more pennies this time round.
  12. According to his Facebook you should see him at Hampden on Saturday.
  13. ATTENTION PLEASE, this is a customer announcement. Could a Mr Ricky Mullen please report to the nearest steward as his wife is about to give birth to a baby bigger then he is.
  14. Knowing your luck the authorities will say no to the till rolls. Did we not have a problem a few years back when we wanted to do it at St Mirren and contacted them and it got banned? Might have been better playing dumb.
  15. Craig Levein. What a cock. Picks United players for Scotland and bumps up their values. Now he picks none just when they have a Cup game shortly after. Coincidence? Hmm.
  16. Absolutely abysmal one-sided refereeing. We'll be lucky to get anything out of this, or end with eleven men.
  17. It was indeed a Monday. I remember the Gers fans there to support us in their, at the time, fashionable red and white bar scarves. Great night and great to get one over Hibs chairman, Tom Hart if I recall, who insisted we play the game despite our flu problems. Also, Joe Wark played the very next night at Hampden for the Scottish League team against the English equivalent.
  18. Thanks for reminding me. Haw, Broon. GIRFUY
  19. 1985/86 drew 1-1 home and away then had to play, the next night after our replay, at Tannadice and won 2-0.

    The Draw

very rough quick glance I reckon 16 home to 31 away including United to come from 2000/01.

    Semi Final

We haven't beaten Rangers in a cup match since March 1961 (the great 5-2 win at Ibrox) and have only 5 wins in 33 cup games against them. I can't see any reason why this should be any different from the usual disappointment but its gotta happen sometime. 50 years is long enough.
  22. I could tell you last week's
  23. Doncaster should offer to resign if he has any decency.
  24. So the club decide not to appeal because they are told the red card was for foul and abusive language. Fine if that was the case but tv evidence clearly shows the referee wasn't reacting at all until he was touched and then he brandished the card. After the game he says it was for foul language leaving us unable to provide evidence in our defence. Bastard has got us stitched up like a kipper.

    Surreal

If the refs want to make it a straight red for being touched then every club should be informed of this and we know where we stand. They can't just make it up to suit themselves.
