The Sun are reporting that Sinclair will not be cited for diving and also that we have not appealed the red card. Astonishing if true.
-
We know what happens next. Sinclair gets a ban for diving. Kipre gets card rescinded then, to appease the Celtic fans, gets a retrospective one for the tackle on Dembele. And Thomson gets away scot free.
-
Wait till you see it. Unbelievable.

All cards wiped after quarter finals.

Awesome performance, not one weak link in the side.

Kevin Clancy, I'm led to believe is the ref. Altogether now, say Aaaaaarrrggghhh!

Don't think yellows can be appealed unless it's for mistaken identity. -
Need five off to get the game forfeited. Worth aspiring to?

Yes, we can appeal on the grounds it wasn't a goalscoring opportunity. Keepers handling outside the box is not an automatic red card. -

Millimetres indeed and could easily be argued that a tiny part of the ball was above the line hence technically in the area so could be picked up. Not a definite goalscoring opportunity either so, in my opinion, not a red card offence. Too many doubts and not enough certainty for Thomson to make his decision. -

As far as Carson's red goes I think the club can clearly argue that nobody could say with certainty that the ball was not in the box. Like with corners surely the ball does not necessarily have to touch the paintwork but 'break the line' above it. Also, keepers no longer get automatic red cards for handling outside the box but only if they are preventing a clear goalscoring opportunity. This was by no means a clear opportunity. For Dunne's red we are back to the 'accidental' argument, if he even touched him at all. Under the new interpretation of the rules this could have been dealt with by a yellow card in my opinion. I think the club would be entitled to challenge both cards. As for McHugh, that was just foolish. -

Would have needed more than one. Game is abandoned if a team go down to six. Remember Hearts having four sent off at Ibrox a good few years back. -
Players who commit a foul to deny a goalscoring opportunity will no longer automatically be sent off, football's rule-making body has confirmed. The previous 'triple-punishment' rule required a red card - and therefore a suspension - as well as the award of a penalty under those circumstances. However, players committing accidental fouls that deny a goalscoring chance will now be cautioned instead. But deliberate fouls will still incur a red card. Those include holding, pulling or pushing, not playing the ball, serious foul play, violent conduct or deliberate handball in order to deny a goalscoring opportunity.

Touch of deja vu. I thought I'd gone back to the 90s.

Most of that money comes from the ridiculous sums thrown at English football by Sky and BT while the Scottish game gets offered peanuts. My "wee" team AFC Fylde also have a multi millionaire throwing cash at them to try and achieve league status. And don't get me started on agents who take millions from the game and give nothing back.
-
Looks like I'm going to see a lot of Zaine next season, Fylde are my hometown team. Kennedy struggled to get game time last season but will be hoping for more this year. A left side defence of Zaine and Kennedy gives me the fear though.
-
See my earlier posts, three clean sheets from four games, conceded one goal.
-
Because Hugh Sproat was our first team goalie and Sammeroff only played because he was out injured for four weeks. I don't think the fans would have taken too kindly to their favourite not getting straight back into the team. And no, I'm not saying he was anything special as a keeper but he certainly never let us down in the games he played and to rate him as so poor based on only four games seems harsh, especially given other contenders.
-
It amazes me when Howard Sammeroff gets mentioned as one of our worst keepers ever. He only played four first team games, kept three clean sheets and conceded just one goal. Tell you what, I'd take that level of shite any day of the week.

Kieran Kennedy got a 25 minute run out for AFC Fylde today. Looked pretty comfortable, no sign of his granny hips giving out.
-
AFC Fylde have had it on their website as confirmed since late afternoon.

One game down and I can confirm he's not a footballer yet. As a Fylde fan, 80 minutes of the worst football ever. 2-0 down at half time, bit of pressure but no goals, game drifting away. One goal back from nowhere but Kiddy clinically running down the clock. 89 minutes, red card for Kiddy. 94 minutes big big fight, one from each team sent off, and looked like more fighting in the tunnel. 97 minutes, a late equaliser. Proper exciting football. Remember that?

Two big games coming up for AFC Fylde, my very local team just fifteen minutes walk from the house (or more if I call in at the four pubs en route). First up on Saturday is a huge game against Kidderminster Harriers which could kill off Kiddy's title hopes and cement Fylde's. A chance for me to see if Zaine Francis-Angol has turned into a footballer yet! Then on Tuesday another biggie when the Messiah/naughty boy Jim Gannon brings Stockport to Mill Farm.

Rangers 28,500 Celtic 25,000 The St Mirren cup game game is listed as 26,709 but some reported it as around 33,000 and I would be tempted to agree having been at all three games. That's the one it was almost impossible to even move at.
