The issues at the club have got absolutley nothing to do with Flow - IS he not just managing the day to day running of the club, working on bringing in extra income etc? This has nothing at all to do with the players or management. Our issues stem from: A - Making no money on transfers B - Signing up players on extended contracts and not having any money left to sign new and better players C - Very little competition for places D - Other teams have improved and increased their playing squad. We have remained the same and lost players And all of the above go right back to finances - of which we have none.

McCall leaving would be an utter disaster for the club. He is well liked by the players and his record for us has been incredible. Looked whats happened to St Mirren since the got shot of Danny Lennon.

I'm not pessimistic about our chances in the league. I just hope we start playing these kids. I would be happy finishing 10th if it meant that all these guys coming through got a run in the team.

Its ironic that a few people on here are hoping that Faddy, Pearo and Clarky all came back to Motherwell. Three players that we sold on for large transfer fees after blooding them young.... Lets just play the kids and forget about these guys. Its the only way the club will survive.

We have had three horror show results under McCall and unfortunately they have been in the cups. Other than that he has been an incredible manager for us and I think we are forgetting this.

They were utter shite and every SPL team in the land fucked them over with ease. We shat the bed big time and I still rate it as our worst result in the last few years.

I think this result has been caused due to a lack of funds at the club. Yes we have given a number of players new contracts, but really its been obvious that we are not able to compete with most other clubs in the top flight. This has left us with an even smaller squad than last year, this has resulted in a lack competition for places. Also I have to question Gordon Marshall - he is the one that picks the goalkeepers and so far its been pretty ropey to say the least. For me the goalie is the one of the most important positions in the team as it instills confidence throughout the side, to me the players don't seem confident in this young kid currently between the sticks. We need to replace Hutchison as these two games prove he was integral to our defence. We now have no pace and teams will rip us apart going forward. Also our strike options are Sutton and Erwin.......thats not good enough.

Can I ask why Motherwell did not play a friendly during the weekend? It seems crazy that we would not try and get a bounce match in between the euro game to just improve match sharpness a wee bit as it was something we clearly lacked on Thursday night.

Also like to point out that I think we will learn from our mistakes tonight and will beat them in Iceland.

First game where the wee man sat through it all. Was also in the Davie Cooper stand for the first time and it was great! Anyway onto the football. The problem from KO was that Ainsworth and Vigurs gave Hammell and Reid no backup at all and both were constantly exposed. If they had sorted that then their threat would have vanished. Starjan had about 5 really clear cut chances and should have won the game last night with a few goals to spare. Its one of the worst defensive displays I have seen from us in years.

I just felt a ripple in the force. Something terrible has happened.
