What this result really highlights is the baffling response to McCall from a small minority of our fans. Yes we have been poor in the cups, but that happens all the time in one of games. But our league form under McCall has been astounding. He deserves so much more credit than he gets. To be 2nd at Xmas after losing all our best players in the summer is some achievement.

We have no idea what the Motherwell fan did or what evidence the police have to arrest him so I would say just wait and see what happens before judging.

The incidents have all been mentioned together in plenty media outlets for the last few days. Check the bbc website for evidence.

The fact of the matter is that no matter how much they compare, the media have tarred our fans with the same brush as Rangers and Celtic fans due to the incident at NDP. Basically cut out the shite and this kind of bad publicity will go away for the Bois and the club.

Nonsense. Vigurs and Lawson both excelled in the SPL last season and scored some total belters. McCall and most Motherwell fans will have looked at that season and 'current form'and thought we are signing two decent players here. Not you though you probably trawl Wikipedia all night looking for flaws in every player from years ago.

If someone in the summer said we are going to have Vigurs, Lawson and Faddy in the midfield they would have bit your hand off. Our main issue this season is that these three players have been poor and this means we are struggling to find goals and I am sure McCalls plans were to have these guys supply the stikers. Is that the fault of McCall - I am not sure - confidence can be hard to get out of a player when they are not doing well and nothing is coming off for them. I have no doubt if these three players found last seasons form we would be back to where we were last season.

Not defending anyone here, but could it be that the police felt that by going into that crowd may have caused even more issues?

I have not been to a game all season since the Kuban game, mainly due to family life and not getting the time to go to the games. I will be back but not sure when. Today sounds like a shocker and to be honest it's been on the cards. I am pretty scunnered with football in general. I feel the gap between the rich and poor is getting wider. The fact we made a loss in Europe said it all for me and proved to me that fifa, Uefa and the rest want a rich mans playground and us and other teams will find less and less rewards for doing well. What am I getting at? Well it's a feeling of what's the point... We are scraping the bottom of the barrel for players and ours and many other teams youth policies are just not producing the goods (apart from Dundee utd who seem to be excellent at it) and this is where we will make money. We struggle to provide the right deals for players and lose them for nothing and it's now bit us in the arse. I get more excited playing 5 a sides these days and really struggle to get even remotely excited about professional football these days. Sad times.

Amazing that we are supposedly a bit shite this season but still third and have 25 points on the board. McCall is doing a super job with a much weaker team than last season. Very good result today.

If you lose Murphy, Humphrey, Law, Ojamma and a 30 goal a season front man and replace them with poorer players then of course we are going to struggle. Throw into the mix Faddy who has not been fit then its even more of an up hill task. Here is our team from our best result and performance of last season. The 3-1 win over Celtic: 01 Randolph 03 Hammell 05 Hutchinson 15 Ramsden 04 Law (Higginbotham - 90' ) 06 Hateley 07 Humphrey 14 Lasley 08 Ojamaa (Francis-Angol - 89' ) 09 Higdon 20 McFadden (Carswell - 85' ) The only part of that team that remains is the defensive part - all our attacking threat is gone. Apart from ZFA and a totally unfit Faddy. I actually think its miraculous we are so high up the table considering the surgery McCall has had to perform on the team with virtually no money to play with. I do agree we need to bleed in the youngsters more - just get rid of Anier and play Moore - to me Anier is a pointless addition to the squad if he goes in January. That could have been 6 months with Moore in the first team.
