Where is exactly are these players that are: A in our price bracket in terms of wages B willing to play for us C FREE Some of our fans are living in a Football Manager dreamland. We don't have the money to sign quality backup players.

This is fucking drivel. We have lost four games this season. Two against Rangers and Celtic (no huge surprise there) We lost to St Johnstone and essentially they turned up and we didn't and their defence was brilliant from the front to the back. Also all their goals came from really bad mistakes from us. Bad day at the office - happens to every team on the planet. Last night we lost a cup tie on penalties to a Hibs team with probably the best striker outside the Old Firm in their team. Again thats not really a big upset and from the sound of it we played some brilliant football and it was a great game. McCall has us playing some fantastic football and a couple of bad results and we get pant wetters like you questioning his ability to change games around. The fact is we have probably the smallest and youngest squad in the SPL and our best defender is also injured so of course its going to be tricky to turn a game around with personnel. Also the people saying Omar Daley might not be good enough need to get tae fuck and jump off a cliff.

I think we will win by three or four goals.

Oh great. Another Marc Fitzpatrick thread.

Higdon is getting loads of stick, but the problem is that Law and Humphrey seem to be told to cut in and try and pass it into the net. Thats not playing to Higdons strengths. We had loads of chances to cross the ball in on Saturday but chose to pass it. Also it doesn't help when about 75% of our crosses went out of play.

Is this the same Humphrey who a couple of weeks ago ripped Dunfermline a new one? Humphrey has one of the hardest roles in Football and as percentages go he will probably get it wrong more times than he gets it right. He now has a bit of competition in Daley so maybe that will improve him.

Bad day at the office. McInnes got his tactics spot on and his players all played really well. All the Motherwell players had a bad day at the office. The goals were all defensive errors from us and not through St Johnstone ripping us open. Essentially we caused our own downfall. But I love how all the pant wetters come out the woodwork screaming that we are in danger of relegation. Get a fucking grip.

Thanks for the feedback guys! That would make sense about Leeds as Billy Bremner was there from 1959 and Bert in 1960 so both were probably part of the youth setup. So Bert probably never made the first team and has moved on. So he only played a handful of games for Motherwell then and not the 69 stated on that site. This again makes more sense as no one in the family can remember him turning out for Motherwell and always remember him playing for the Arabs. I think I have the 'Well Again' book somewhere in the house so I will have a wee look at that tonight. Ideal that he scored a few too!

I was annoyed after the Rangers game a few weeks ago as I felt we showed a pretty inexperienced defence far to much respect, but after I calmed down I realised that the players that made the difference in that game each cost about £4 million each. Also getting beat 4-0 at Parkhead is not really a shock - it happens most seasons. Maybe a few teams will get freak results there like St Johnstone did earlier in the season, but you wouldn't really be surprised if Celtic or Rangers ended the season unbeaten at home. Al B is spot on with his comments. When any SPL team plays either Rangers or Celtic their main task is to make sure that when they lose the ball we can cover their runs. Its a confidence issue by far. Also the first goal in these games is a huge factor in the results. Celtic scored after 8 minutes and then dictated the game. If we had scored first it may have been a very different story. As long as we continue to play as well as we have against the other SPL opponents I will be delighted. Any points gained against the Old Firm is just a bonus. I wish it wasn't, but need just need to stop showing them so much respect and all SPL teams are guilty of this. It almost like its ingrained into them. Mind you we are seeing the same thing happening in the EPL and La Liga. Two or three teams are now miles ahead of the rest.

Yeah that's right. He then moved to South Africa and played for Durban FC. He lived there for the restof his days. My mum said she once went round to his house and Bert and Billy bremner were in the kitchen drinking tea!! Not sure if he was at Motherwell for a couple of years or just 1 but 69 games I would think it would be a couple at least.
-
Bert was my second cousin and for years I knew that he had played with Leeds during the time Billy Bremner was in the team. I also knew hs spent a great deal of time with Dundee Utd. But it wasn't until Friday there that I found out he had turned out 69 times for Motherwell as my Uncle had been finding out about him online! Would of the members on here know anything of his time with Motherwell (pictures etc)? Here is a wee link that my Uncle found: Bert Its quite nice to know a family member once turned out in the Claret and Amber!

Thats bollocks. He goes to another club for a higher wage who were at the time being run well by Jim Jeffries and Billy Brown. You can understand why he went. He maybe thought all the past issue with the club were over. Just because he signed for Hearts doesn't make him a greedy bastard!
-
Feel sorry the for big man. No one deserves that. Hopefully he will find a club down south and restart his career. Some of the comments on here are pish. Sutton gave 100% in every game he played in a claret and amber jersey and deserves a bit of respect.

Bet you we would beat Jamaica.

The best news coming from this total farce of a transfer window (created by Rupert Murdoch) is that we have not lost any of our squad. We can now relax until January when the next of these money making football destroying windows comes along!
-
Poor. Time for bed.

Aye its all very fishy at Kilmarnock. They are either very good in the transfer market or they are getting some decent wads of money from somewhere. Reminds me a bit like when John Boyle funded the moves for Hughes and Porter. Problem with Killie is that they seem to be going down the loan route again and while it can work its a very short term measure as has been seen this season in that they are having to rebuild a team from scratch - which as we all know can be very tricky.
-
HERE TO HELP Check out that big bastard font. He is moving to Motherwell on a free and did I mention he was black - or is the less racist term 'Ethnic'
-
FUCK YOU or Suck my balls
-
This thread is racist as fuck.
-
Daley is a striker is he not?
-
Do we actually need any more players? I think the squad is fine as it is now we have Clancy and Daley. We might lose Murphy, but if we do then we will probably get an emergency loan deal in to fill the gap.
-
So have we signed Omar Daley on the basis he gets a work permit?
-
St Mirren and Kilmarnock had huge re-building jobs to do this season. Killie lost all their loan players and Danny Lennon realised half his team was pish and has replaced them with some very good players. Out with these first team squads their subs bench is the same as ours (full of kids) If we sign Daley then I would say we have a decent bench to backup a very good SPL side. A lot of people seem to forget that our first 11 when fit is one of the best outside the Old Firm - so we haven't needed to sign a large amount of players. Most of us said 3 or 4 player would be needed and by the looks of it McCall has achieved that and more importantly they have been good signings.

Fucking easy.
