Aye well done. The big man has had a great career.

Every club in Scotland apart from Rangers and Celtic have paid no transfer fees to get a player. All have been either free transfers or loan deals. Even Rangers and Celtic have had to sell players to buy. In fact Celtic have made a profit and Rangers have spent just under £2 million. That is why we haven't been splashing the cash. Also we were very unlucky not to make it into the group stages - I would say overall we matched Odense. Just one of those days at Fir Park unfortunatley. I think we have done ok in the transfer market anyway. Randolph looks excellent. Blackman looks like he could become a very good player this season. Not too sure about Casagolda yet, but he has played once and setup a goal so at least he is contributing. And if Gow gets onto a game then we all know how good he could be. I think finances are so tight that to speculate to accumulate is not an option anymore. Sadly.

Aye but a six month deal is magic if he turns put to be pish. Also has he not had a few injurys in the last few years? Swings and roundabouts.
-
Ha ha brilliant! I bet he thinks you are a wank too!

In good news I managed to get Andriy Arshavin, Henri Saviet and Nicklas Bendtner in before deadline day. Football Manager sooths the pain...

Here we go again with the whole Gannon debate. Right lets ask the question right now. Where would we currently be right now if Gannon was still in charge? Would we currently be ripping teams to shreds with our expansive passing football or would we be struggling near the bottom of the table and expecting a bunch of kids to haul us out of the mire? Gannons style worked for about three games and then he was found out.

If Reynolds does go then we have Hutchison or Page to pop straight back in there. Page was a bit shaky against Celtic, but I think with a few games under his belt could be a very good player for us. Saunders has been OK at right back, but if I remember correctly from last season he was much more impressive as a centre back? Could be wrong though. Back line could be something like this: Page - Saunders - Craigan - Hammell

Murphy has had one bad game this season against Celtic. So he has now given up? Oh and do you have a million pounds? I don't and I don't think anyone at Motherwell has either. Jog on.

I would say outside the Old Firm every can beat everyone else as has already been proved this season. We could end up 3rd, we could end up 11th or 12th. From previous seasons form and this seasons form I think we will be in the top six.

Fuck them all.

Mental. Really mental. How much of Celtic have you seen this season? How many times this season have Celtic looked genuinly impressive. I would say twice against a very weak St Mirren side and at home against Utrecht. Apart from that they have been total and utter shite. Apart from our little blip against Hibs/Odense we have looked dangerous going forward and have been reasonably tight at the back. And could have won either of those games at home. But coming from you we are technically inept to give Celtic a game. Thank fuck you are not the manager. EDIT - Remember also that Celtic have a total fanny running their club

Humphrey put in loads of really good crosses. it was just our front line had no one sitting at the back post. the amount of goals we could have scored if we had a player who could ghost into the back post. The mind boggles. Anyway we were just really, really unluckly last night. We had shots cleared of the line, naltys missed played against 9 men and they had two shots on goal and scored one of them. Just got to take it on the chin and say it was a good experience for the younger lads and they did themselves proud. But special mention to Humphrey who looks twice the player he was lat season. Few more tweaks to his game and he will be a revelation at Fir Park.

Hamilton seem to do this all the time. Last year they signed about 5 players who they then binned after about a month. They either just sign players and hope for the best or these players jump ship when they realise how much of a bawsack Billy Reid is.

I am 100% convinced we will win this. 3-0 Motherwell. Dunno why I am so confident, but its just been there since the first leg.

The problem is that if we go on the basis that the quality deserves a price of £10 to £12 per game then it will drive the quality down further as the level of player we can go for will be worse than what we can at the moment. Its a fine balance to strike and I don't think its possible when you have a league just down the road that has teams in its lowest league who can outspend teams in our top division. We need to look at Norway and Denmark and see how they can achieve a decent level of competition and also finance with a league very similar to ours. Also the marketing of the SPL is piss poor. Why for example are the SPL BBC highlights not shown on Saturday after Match of the Day? I have no interest whatsover in the Championship or below and I am sure I am not the only one in Scotland. We have lazy people running our game and their half arsed appraoch has gotten us in this mess.

Would never wear a Motherwell top unless I am going to the game or playing football. Mind you I do like my Bukta 70's style zippy top. Its braw!
-
Blah blah blah. Whats the problem with having the show at Fir Park? Some people on here would moan ice being cold.
-
If we can afford him then I would say sign him. If he can get his form back he would be a great player for us.
-
3-0 Well. Blackman treble to make him a king among men!
-
Smell the glove!

horse pish every punter in Motherwell would rather take a win against Odense rather than killie and if it means resting players then so be it. If we get to the group stages it would be greatest achievement the club has done since finishing 2nd in the spl. We have some mental fans.

I am pretty sure this will be sorted out soon. Can't believe they thought this could just be swept under the carpet. Very strange dealing from Cardiff considering how many players they have signed.
