Was refreshing the BBC web page every three seconds at the end! To score 3 goals away from home against a in form St Mirren side is a good result in my book. They have been our bogey team for a few years now and as much as we hate them Gus McPherson knows how to play to his teams strengths. And now that they have some creative players in the squad and are scoring goals it wouldn't suprise me if they make the top six or there abouts. As for us, well looks like the Duke is starting to find some form. We seem (apart from today) quite solid at the back and hopefully are starting to create more chances up top so all in all good news. If someone told me after the Llanelli game we would be in the Quarter Finals of the CIS and played 9 in the SPL and only lost once I would have laughed in their face and called them mental! Oh how far we have come!

What a day. My best memory of the day was the guy next to us who was obviously a Celtic fan and all around him his fellow fans were getting seven shades of shite kicked out of them, so to look like a Well fan he shouted: "Aye yer fucking pish, ya bunch of tattie famine bastards!" This is a rumour I will be taking with a pinch of salt. But if Slane does leave having played a handful of competitive games for us then I would be dissapointed. On the other hand if a 17 year old wants to leave us having almost zero experience when he could in theory become a first team regualar and then move on - well its fair play to him. As for Jim O'Brien, well he has been excellent this season and is our main threat in the team, but again it might be a risky career move to jump ship so soon. A few years under Gannons stewardship could do him wonders for the future.

Aye whats with all the Peado shite spewing out of Motherwell these days. Is everyone a Peado now? Maybe they are throwing out all these kids for their own safety.

At the end of the day we beat ICT in a cup game, that is something we might not have done a few years ago. Some of our fans are getting a wee bit cocky and are expecting far too much from this young team. Yes we have been excellent so far, but we have no god given right to win any game, especially a cup tie against a decent ex SPL side. Also the digs that Lukas, Murphy and McGarry got were ridicuolos. All these player put in 100% effort and in fact Murphy turned the game for us with his pace. Any win for us is a great result. Let's not forget that. Also Saunders was once again superb.

What, out of the Champions League spot?

Hibs and Falkirk will be really tough games. I would be happy with a point against Hibs and a win over Falkirk, but this is Motherwell FC and we might lose them both! If we can steer clear of injuries then I am confident we can push for third place, we look really solid at the moment.

I'm suprised to say we haven't missed McLean one jot since he went to relegation fodder Falkirk. I thought he was the one player we really needed to keep. The fact of the matter is we don't seem to need any of them. Also I think Lukas will turn into a belter of a player for us in the coming months.

Murphy Speaks!

My opinion. Goalkeepers - Stronger, due to the fact we have two expereinced keepers and Ruddy looks better than Smith Defence - The same, as the emergence of Hutchison has replaced McLean, but if this Frenchman is decent then we will be in a stronger position Midfield - Much stronger. Coke, Forbes, Hateley etc have given us much more options in midfield. Attack - Weaker as I doubt we have a striker who can bag 20 a season like Clarky did, but maybe Sutton can step up to the plate. So overall I would say we look a stronger side. We certainly have a lot more options to change things around and rotate the squad.

Can anyone tell me why we are getting rid of our only left back? Reynolds is not a left back, Fitzy is not a left back and eh thats about it. Our squad is already thin. We should under no circumstances be getting rid of players. Unless we are signing about 5 players today!

Reading through the papers today was a sorry affair, half of nearly every match report was about all the chanting. Its a shame as its been such a great start to the season and there was a real feel good factor surrounding the club. Then you get 50 pissed up morons wrecking the image of the club. You don't see a group of Falkirk fans calling John Hughes a Child Molester or the Hibs fans calling Mowbary a Peadophile. Thats because they have just got on with it and realised that its a new era in their club. The thing thats pissed me off the most is what Gannons reaction to this will have been, he must think we are shower of fuckwits.

Me and the wife went to the game yesterday and thought the chanting was not only really childish it also dragged our club through the gutter. It's always the same bunch who seem to get us into this mess. Pathetic stuff and just a bit sad. I mean why not use the word poof or bawbag, why go downthe road of peado? You all know who you are and all the Internet bravado is mind numbing pish. No one is talking about the game or how well Jim Gannon is doing it's all about McGhee and it's beginning to piss the huge majority of fans right off.
