  1. A win is a win and never to be sniffed at. Missed today's game due to work but having spent £75 on petrol and entrances fees watching Motherwell in the last week, plus the lingering downer of Wednesdays keech I wasn't really that bothered about missing a game for once. How was Faddy?
  2. Apologies if posted elsewhere but is this game on TV/sky/ whatever?? I'll be stuck at work and would be grateful if someone could post a link.
  3. It's at least a relief to see everyone is as upset and angry as me about Wednesday night. I have nothing to add about the game that hasn't been said already. The worst I've felt after a game since the Sevco debacle. What I will say is that the chickens are coming home to roost with our scatter gun signing policy in the summer. With the exception of Anier and possibly Sutton, absolutely none of the summer signings have brought anything of note to the table and in some cases are picking up a wage for nothing. We are a small club with a small budget and every player signed absolutely has to contribute. We cannot afford to have 4, 5, 6 players on the payroll who aren't contributing anything positive. The fact that after a whopping 15 games McCall still doesn't appear to know his/our best starting 11 is very concerning also.
  4. Great work all round.
  5. Was unsure at the game but having now seen the highlights I would say that whist the pass back from Ramsden wasn't the best, the goalkeeper was most certainly to blame for the goal. I'm not sure if there's much between Hollis and Neilsen to be honest. Also, how bad does a handball have to be before we get a penalty?!?! That's 2 weeks in a row we've had really good claims waved away!
  6. Got the major fear for this game now. Had a bad feeling anyway but absolutely dreading it now after that horror show today.
  7. Not only the worst performance of the season but the worst of many a season. Can't remember the last time we were that bad. So many bad individual performances on the pitch it would be unfair to to single any one player out. The blame for the shambles I just forked out 22 quid for lies squarely at McCalls door for that non fucking entity of a formation! The team lining up like that was never going to cause any team in the league any problems. I only hope Anier, Ainsworth and Angol were carrying knocks otherwise there is no justification for what we just witnessed. As someone said earlier "frighteningly bad".
  8. Formation is a joke. No out ball, really slack. Goal has led a charmed life so far.
  9. I would agree with Andy. I've seen Aberdeen bring a decent support to Fir Park only a handful of times over the years. Almost exclusively at the start of the season when they may have strung together a run of results that are nothing more than average and they've whipped themselves up into a frenzy that 1983 is on its way back! This "red army" pish is exactly that. Pish.
  10. It would've been nice if St Johnstone had kept the entry price south of 20 quid considering its live on cooncil telly!! And folk wonder why attendances are falling!?!?! Still intending to go though as my work schedule now means I miss more games than I'd like to and I can actually make this game. Apparently they have a bit if a defensive crisis and will be forced into playing fullbacks at centre half? A point wouldn't be a disaster. As long as we beat those bastards next Wednesday!!
  11. Check the players reactions after both goals. They're all going absolutely mental!! Love to see that.
  12. I wonder if the game will be in doubt if this rain keeps up.
  13. I wouldn't have said it was a mistake against Aberdeen as such. He killed if brilliantly, it's just McGinn was on it like a shot and stole it off him.
  14. I long since turned up expecting Motherwell to win, but on the evidence of how Hearts have looked after the initial few games this season, I kinda am on Saturday! And that doesn't sit easy with me!
  15. The 4-2 game where we were 2-0 up was roundabout 1997 I think. I think Billy Davies and Willie Falconer scored our goals and I'm sure Jim Hamilton and Steve Fulton scored for Hearts. I remember Hearts pulling a goal back instantly when we went 2-0 up and cut our celebrating sing song dead in its tracks! Hearts had quite a good team that year and were technically still in the hunt for the league I'm sure right up until April when a late Tommy Coyne equaliser at Tynecastle killed if for them. They won the cup that season mind. I remember games against Hearts in the late. 80's ( when I was VERY young I might add!) as being absolute battles! They were the first team I really hated due to their antics. Tynecastle was a graveyard for us in those days and I didn't actually see us win there till Richie Foran scored a penalty in a 1-0 win maybe in 2006? I've since us win there about 5 times! Changed days.
  16. I see the BBC highlights managed to miss Izaguirre's blatant foul on Kerr which could've/should've been a 2nd yellow card and therefore off. Funny that.
  17. Completely agree with that Ya Beezer.
  18. I can't believe I got that wrong!!! The 50/51 season I suppose, so half right! Maybe.
  19. 2 absolutely outstanding goals from us this afternoon and some decent play at times also, probably the best I've seen us all season actually and some fine individual performances also. A draw might have been a fair result all in all but we also had a free header from McManus in the first half that went just wide plus Aniers shot that went over, not to mention Lasleys brilliant free kick hitting the post! Perhaps we have a case that we could've won it? That said, Uniteds goals from our point of view were terrible. The first one it looked as if the player running with the ball should've been closed down a lot earlier and I remember thinking Hollis maybe should've done better? A few news reports now stating that also. Their 2nd one whilst from their point of view was a fantastic run and finish; how the hell can a player be allowed to run from box to box without being challenged?!?!? Really poor. Game was then really open after that. Liked the look of Ainsworth and not just for the goal. Put in a few really good crosses and a few good runs inside also. He appears to like to hit an early cross also which I'm a fan of. Thought Faddy looked sharp when he came on and I believe it was the right decision to drop him, and then also correct to play him up front/through the middle when he was brought on. Vigurs looked decent at times in the first half and is certainly capable of great bits of skill and passes. However he seriously needs to up his work rate though. Hollis could've done better with the first goal and had a few shaky moments during pass backs. He's glued to his line for everything as well. I would be interested to see what Neilsen could bring to the team. Thought the ref believed there was only one team on the park at times and seemed to respond to calls from the home fans a lot. Carswell was the victim of a really late clatter in the first half and Sutton in the 2nd which both deserved cards.
  20. Did anyone else notice Steven Thompson's embarrassing throwing himself to the ground in the final moments of the game? The cheating prick.
  21. I'd take a point right now although I think Utd are a bit up and down. They've scored 4 goals on 2 separate occasions now even at this early stage of the season which is quite impressive. I'd like to see Ainsworth start and I'm afraid, favourite all time player of mine or not, that Faddy doesn't deserve to start at the moment. Don't know what's up there.
  22. Bit of a blow with the nae obvious right back situation but I'll still be pretty disappointed if we don't take anything today. St Mirren by all accounts are even worse than normal (although in the head to heads there has been nothing between us over the years)
