Brutal full game. We've became an ineffective long ball team, and never troubled the goalie after the first minute. 3 of the worst players didn't even travel to Russia!! Faddy did nothing again worryingly. Subs were made far far too late and when they were made it smacked of desperation. Aberdeen could've won by more and looked really good. 2rd penalty was ridiculously soft.

Dreamt we lost 3-0. Woke up in a cold sweat!
-
Well there's the sand dancer scored on his debut with another player we deemed not good enough getting 2.
-
Europe shmurope. The most annoying thing for me is I had the cash for the away leg but never expected it to cost THAT much to travel! If we get put out of Europe next season again I'll be fairly pleased as it will mean we will have had another fantastic domestic season.

I guess we will have to wait and see. Higginbotham on a permanent deal would've been a massive signing for us this summer. In fact I didn't actually think it was a possibility as I thought he was quality and out with our reach...then he ends up at Thistle on a permanent deal!!
-
Higginbotham would've been a great signing for us. I'm absolutely spewing that he has went to Thistle of all clubs!! Maybe McCall didn't want him back? But we are crying out for a winger and the fact that he's gone to Thistle shows he most certainly wasn't beyond our reaches. Really disappointing.

Terrible terrible penalty from McHugh. Perfect place for the keeper to save it. Why do players insist on putting penalties there?!?!
-
Utterly brutal from McManus it has to be said. Straight from the Stephen Craigan school of "avoidable ogs"
-
Loads. Got back a couple of pages. They all work!! Just had 20 minutes of Russian dancing pre-match!!
-
I'd say we definitely could do with him! Who else is going to play right wing for us?
-
Fuck sake! That's a major sickener for me. He'll more than do a job for them.
-
Apparently Thistle are trying to get Kallum Higginbotham on loan. That would be disappointing, would love to see him back here.

Always hated Aberdeen due to disproportinate ammount of Aberdeen fans in my home town of Carluke, due to them growing up when Aberdeen were successful and gave them the best chance of bragging rights. A bunch of wankers and wind up merchants who never went to the games, save for the odd trip to see Aberdeen at Fir Park which riled me even more. Despite being born and raised hundreds of miles from Aberdeen they certainly were able to adopt the delusion and superiority complex native Aberdeen fans have. The fact that they have won the same ammount of trophies as we have in the last 20 years, been in Europe less, been in the top 6 less and generally been a rudderless red neck obviously pleases me immensely!! McGhee and Broon going there only added to mix, but the seeds had long been since sewn! Our domination over them in the league has been nothing short of magnificent. They have been fucking owned for nigh on 5 years. Would great to burst their bubble after only 2 games in! However, I believe they will have their day on Sunday though as they have added to their squad quite impressively in the summer whilst our new team is still finding their feet and looks quite impotent going forward, coupled with the Russian factor on Thursday. Would bite your hand off for a draw.

The only player we haven't missed so far is Randolph! Only 2 games in mind.
-
If I was McCall I'd be sending a team of reserves to Russia! My focus in on those sheep shaggers on Sunday whom, as I may have mentioned, hate with every fibre of my being.
-
For all McManus was immense, he nearly sold the jerseys with a needless push at the end. That was a penalty all day long!!

I always feel a good start to the season can be the springboard to better things so we can't complain about how the day ended really. Especially with such a changed team. Lots of decent, albeit sideways, passing in places but our inability to run into the channels and constant lack of an outball was very frustrating. In short we were far too pedestrian though out. I know we might lack pace and width but the forwards need to show better movement in order to give the full backs options, otherwise they are just going to have to move the ball sideways, or even backwards, as there is literally no one to aim for going forward! The game really changed when we brought Anier (although I'm still not sold on him and he reminds me of yon Kye Nyssonen!) and Angol on as they were able to provide a bit of running. He's my favourite all time player, but I thought Faddy was murder today. I don't get where McCall is coming from when he says it will be a few more games till we see the best of him. He's had a full pre-season and even looked phenomenal in many of the 13 games he played last season. I really was expecting him to hit the ground running. It could be argued he has 3 men on him as soon as he gets the ball, and that he's not being played in a position that doesn't favour him but still.... I'd like to think we can make out set pieces count this season as we pose considerable threat in the air. I thought Sutton and McHugh were really poor. . Great start to the season.

I really don't get the ill feeling towards Hateley. He played nearly every game for us in seasons where we finished 2nd and 3rd!?!? He's obviously been a bit daft here, but I really hope he doesn't get booed when he comes back like Reynolds did as that would be just be fucking embarrassing. The guy did us a really good turn.
-
Hateley signing for Killie apparently. Total sideways step if ever there was one if true.
-
I thought we actually competed well. The Russians were just too good. Hammells pass that cost the 2nd goal was criminal. Killed the tie stone dead. Tackle on Faddy was disgraceful, I'm surprised he got up from that. Was very impressed with Vigurs, Lawson and McManus. ZFA was good and was getting fouled all the time. Badly need an out ball down both flanks but we won't have to play against players that good again this season (except in away leg obviously)
-
I surely didn't need to emphasis that comment wasn't aimed at overseas fans?!?!
-
Fir Park should be packed to the rafters tomorrow. Poor show from the stay away fans.
-
Fear a horsing to be honest. I hope for Hollis's sake he doesn't play as rightly or wrongly a sizeable proportion of the fans don't appear to rate him and will be blamed for everything even if it isn't his fault. People will probably be more forgiving of Neilsen. Even with Randolph or Ruddy coupled with all the players from last year we wish we still had I get the feeling the Russians will still be far too good for us.

"Tear it up"?!?! It's the fucking Scottish 3rd Division!?!?! Supposed lesser players than him have left their mark on that league. If he had any ambition to "tear it up" anywhere he wouldn't have dropped 2 divisions in Scotland Without opening up the whole debate again, he doesn't deserve the talent he has and I hope he ends up playing lower league football for the rest of his career. In short, the c**t is dead to me. Not that I'm that bothered you understand!
