Still need another striker (unless the plan is to go with McHugh, which I'm no necessarily against) and a pacy right winger. Would love Faddy to stay but don't think if will be happening. I will always be grateful he did play for us again. McManus would be an asset but I wouldn't be happy if we took him away for a pre-season only for him to sign for someone else! In short, need a couple of fast players!

Will the club actually announce that they are moving on? I always like to hear it from the horses mouth. Anyways, so long to "Big Hignal" (as my dad called him). What a great 2 years he gave us, more goals in a single season in 37 years and awarded player of the year. I'll always remember him singing "since i was young" at rhe East Stand after the last home game there. You can't argue that he doesn't deserve a big pay day on the back of this season. Still sucks though. So long to Tam aswell. A good servant who despite taking some stick was a virtually ever present in what has been a very successful era for us. He also leaves us with 2 of my favourite "Well moments" in recent times of the last minute free kicks v St Mirren and Odense. I just hope they don't go to that brand new club in the 2nd division!

Would take Higginbotham in a heartbeat. I think he is still under contract at Huddersfield so it won't happen if that is the case.

We need a goalie, a right midfielder and 2 strikers minimum.

I reckon the supposed deadline (if true) has been pretty generous actually. If they were going to sign they would've signed by now. I wonder if Faddy or Higdon had signed up early on it might have seen a few more inspired to do likewise? We'll never know... I think we'll miss both of them. Bit of a scunner to say the least.

I don't think 2 games in Europe is a lure for players. You would like to think so but they'll go where they can get the most money. Greg Wylde exhibit A. Would be good if we could get a couple of bodies in this week. Times a marching on and our starting 11 still has gaping holes in it.

Who knows what the deal with Lee Miller was. I would've been happy enough to see him play for the 'Well next season. Is the poster suggesting we took our eye of the ball during negotiations? All speculation anyway, but this is what happens in the close season with nothing else going on!

No idea what Clarksons like these days. I kept an eye out for him when he went to Bristol City then when he moved to Bristol Rovers but never seemed to do much.

I would be quite happy to see Sutton back actually. Would rather we kept Higdon though. Would be good to get a decision one way or another on Higdon, McFadden and Hateley sooner rather than later also. I reckon they're all offski though and I suspect the club know this.

Definitely felt the hectic schedule hurt us at the start of last season. Difficult for players to peak 3 times in 7 days and we had to do it twice. Aye. And that was with a solid settled team! It really is astonishing Celtic are allowed to miss a game to take part in a friendly.
