With all the chat about the great performance, I'm sure it didn't escape anyones's attention just how bad the ref was. How the hell did McPake stay on the pitch?!?! He wasn't even booked! I can't find in any of the highlights packages going about any footage of his challenge on Higdon either. Is that not the type of thing Vincent Lunny should be looking at?

What a second half and two of the best goals I can remember seeing. A master class from McFadden. Quite simply I love him. If performances like that from him and the team in general don't encourage floating fans to get along then nothing will. We are being spoiled at the moment. I'll post more when I've came back down to earth. Literally floated home!!

Looking forward to the game and hoping for a win. A draw might not be a disaster though. Also looking forward to seeing Faddy play as it still doesn't seem real that he is actually playing for us again.

McCall said round about the Ross County game that the contract was being finalised and didn't forsee any problems. Still nothing. I wonder what the hold up is? I always said, to myself at least, that after Craig Brown stabbed us in the back I would never believe what another manager or player said again, but when McCall said the contract was being finalised and he didn't forsee any problems, I still believed him! Perhaps if he had been a bit more non commital when asked we wouldn't be wondering if there wereany problems? Perhaps the top 6 has to be secured first?

From watching the highlights it looked like we lived very dangerously at times.. Nicky Law's chance was very very poorly executed indeed. The best chance for either team in the game. He should've done better there. Huge shout for a penalty at the end. Not of the stonewall variety but still a penalty for me. We would probably have missed it anyway!

Whilst it's a bit disappointing to only draw with a clearly keech Aberdeen team, and apparently play poorly by all accounts, if you had offered me 7 points from games v Celtic and away games against Hearts and Aberdeen I'd would've bit your hand off! Roll on Friday. Really looking forward to it.

It's just one sevco apologists biased opinion but that is embarrassing nonetheless. I'm sure that drivel, if even read by the players will be treated with the contempt that it deserves but Hateley should be barred from Fir Park and McCall should get in touch with him and tear him a new one. The challenge on Faddy in the lead up to the first goal gets worse every time I see it! An absolutely fucking horrific assault. Even if the advantage gets played can the player not still be booked? Or sent off in this case?

As an aside, after being bizarrely goaded by police and security for some reason when approaching the ground, I was then subjected to an almost airport security level search on the way in. I was singled out, taken to one side, told to empty every pocket on my jacket, hoody, jeans, rifled through my wallet, legs and waist patted down a couple of times and asked why I had gloves with me as “it wasn’t that cold”, even asked where I had been before getting there!! They didn’t seem too pleased when I said “Eh, ma car?!” Arseholes.

A greatv 3 points but really made to sweat at the end. We started on fire and were rewarded with 2 quick goals which really could've opened the flood gates. It didn't though and I thought the rest of the first half we were quite slack but without looking under any great pressure. Although Randolph had a great save. We never got going second half at all and the slackness continued. Even Faddys passing was off, although he also had a few tremendous moments. It has to be said the pitch was heavy and not conducive to a passing game. It has to be said the ref and main stand side linesman were completely incompetent throughout and that incompetence was instrumental in Hearts goal when he failed to award a throw in that was clearly Motherwells! The introduction of Omar Daley was arguably the single worst performance I've ever seen in a Motherwell shirt. Lazy, uninterested and a complete lack of ability to name but a few adjectives. I'll be astonished if we see him play for us again.

Same starting 11 as Wednesday although I'm still keen to see what Faddy can do upfront. I'd also like to see Saunders get some game time. Really looking forward to the game, although I fear there is an unpleasant end waiting for us! This Hearts team is murder, and has been all season, but with Motherwell it's just impossible to predict how it will go. To be fair you could say that about every team this season though.

None of the highlights available have shown Kayal's booking. Did I imagine as being as bad as I thought it was? Or are these decisions only contentious when it goes against Celtic?

Phew. It’s difficult to know where to start with last night. A truly memorable result and fantastic performance that will live long in the memory. Wins against Celtic are few and far between but the seethe and purecannaetakeitness that they exude means it never gets boring! Couldn’t have asked for a better response from the players after the last two games and they did so and then some. From the first whistle to the last they got stuck in and worked tirelessly but with no little skill either. Every player was a MOTM contender and some of the touches and bits of skill from Law, McFadden, Humphrey and Ojamaa in particular were an absolute joy to behold. I’ve been scathing of the performances and results of the Utd and Ross County games so it’s only fair that I big the players up after last night. It was great to see Faddy playing and turning in a real virtuoso performance. His dig and desire were inspiring and some of his touches and turns were sublime. There truly is no-one else like him. After the celebrations had calmed down after Higdon’s excellent finish my thoughts bizarrely immediately turned to the fact that this team will almost certainly be broken up in the summer. Do we realistically have any chance of retaining Higdon, Law and Randolph?? Iain Brines; what a shitebag, bottle merchant, polis bastard he is. How Kayal wasn’t sent off from any one of about 3 shockers is anyone’s guess. Wanyama could’ve/should’ve went n’aw. I didn’t realise how bad he had caught Randolph with his studs in his back till I watched the highlights when I got in! A quick flick through the papers today (to look at the pictures of course!) reveals none of them go into any depth about Kayal in particulars tackles. When you think of what Lasley and Kerr were sent off for…. To summarise. Always expect the unexpected with Motherwell. It is important that if a few games don’t go our way we keep our heads up. This is advice for myself as much as anything! Celtic are moaning cheating bastards. I love James McFadden.

Can only echo what others have said. I fear a gubbing but we live in hope. As long as they get stuck in there's no shame in losing. It's is a continual source of frustration that every other team (barring Dundee and Hearts?) have taken points of Celtic this season aswell... I'd play Randolph Saunders Hutchy Ramsden Hammell Higginbotham Carswell Lasley Law McFadden Ojamaa We need 3 to 4 points from the next 3 games in order to keep pace with the pack. Will even get 1?
