    Kilmarnock

There are a few contenders, nearly the full team to be honest as I thought everyone played their part. I was really impressed with Ramsden today though.
  2. For me you don't change a winning team. Especially one that won so spectacularly. That said, the effort from the off was there and the last 30 minutes were sensational. How we didn't win I'll never know. Killie scored a beauty and then via a corner in a rare foray up the park. That was it. At 2-0 down I was frustrated at McCall for changing the winning team, but I suppose he deserves credit for introducing McHugh and the onslaught then began.
  3. Still buzzing from the Aberdeen game, so can't really be bothered with this game. Would rather just bask in the glory of Wednesdays game for a bit longer. I was like that after the recent Hibs game also and Love Street brought us back down to earth. Every chance it's going to be at least 1 players last game tomorrow coupled with O'Donnells anniversary so could be an odd mood around Fir Park.
  4. The perfect Christmas present. At times our attacking play was nothing short of sensational and at least equal to anything witnessed in McGhees first season. Just a pity Murphy missed his penalty (our penalty conversion rate is poor in recent times) as 5-1 is an embarrassing decimation. 4-1 is still a pumping though so pleasing, pleasing, pleasing.
  5. I reckon we'll need to score twice to get anything from this game.
  6. We're leaking goals to everyone and not learning from previous mistakes. Looks like we'll need to score 2 goals a game to pick up any points which is a big ask. How many points have St Mirren picked up lately? They have looked fucking murder n'aw. Really disappointing to say the least.
  7. I don't believe this. Except I do.
  8. I'm resigned to losing our best players, it's that nature of the beast for Motherwel, and coupled with the early exit from the cup combined with the fact we haven't sold someone for quite a few windows, it's inevitable. It's just frustrating and disappointing the fees involved are always such a pittance.
  9. Dismantled for peanuts pretty much sums it up. We've always been soft as shite in transfer negotiations though. There's the fight chucked for 2nd place then, unless replacements are lined up. Or are we fucked financially?
  10. Will be sorry to see Murphy leave. Lot's of good memories of watching him. These things happen though. Will be really disappointed if it's for less than 200k also to be honest. The money that's floating about in the English leagues is insane and when you consider what Aberdeen got for that donkey Foster....

I really like the look of him. Bags of potential.
  12. Looking at the players celebrating at the end of the game yesterday, Higdon and Randolph in particular were going absolutely mental, really hits home how difficult it is going to be replacing these guys. I've never seen the players come right over to the fans like that at the end before.
  13. Sometimes football is so unpredictable. 2nd half performance is one of the best I've ever seen. Glad I went. Scenes at the end will live long in the memory.
  14. The over the top abuse of our own players is out of order and completely counter productive. it's cringeworthy to know it goes on (but then so was booing of Reynolds Foran and Clancy when the returned with other clubs....)To be honest I rarely hear any of it where I sit. I hear nothing in fact. The opposition and ref are even safe these days. That said, of the fans who are shouting pish, at least they're making the effort to get along to Fir Park. Where are all the fans who were at the Cup Final Panathanikos games?
  15. This thread is madness. We're pissed off and frustrated at going out the cup, especially to Aberdeen, and the home results are bad with performances being worse, but the manager sacked? Behave yersels!! Some folk must have rose tinted spectacles as the season we finished bottom, despite the notable highlights, was soul destroying. The current fanbase couldnae take a season like that, nevermind a finish outside the top 6.
  16. Cannae see us winning this one. But then I said that before Perth and Inverness....
  17. Good post Tweed. Yours, The Grim Reaper.
  18. The vast majority of Motherwell supporters only see Motherwell at Fir Park and what they/we are continually being served up warrants criticism I'm afraid. My dad has a season ticket and only goes to home games. He can't believe the team that is sitting 3rd in the league is the same team he watches every second week. Same goes for last season. He missed the Ross County game due to illness therefore he has seen Motherwell win at Fir Park ONCE since April. Typically I missed both the home wins this season due to illness and other commitments, therefore haven't seen Motherwell win at Fir Park since April and not once all season!! Fortunately I was at Dens Park, McDiarmid Park and Tannadice. It's brutal brutal predictable turgid keech at Fir Park this season.
  19. You won't be. Like me, you'll wince the second you wake up as you instantly remember the performance and result.
  20. It's a fucking shite state of affairs to know that going a goal down at home at any stage means the baw's on the slates. Our home form is absolutely turgid. It has been all season, but what's McCall done about it?
  21. Absolutely fucking murder. Complete colapse at the start of the second half.
  22. As always with Motherwell it's impossible to tell how the game will pan out. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to extra time and penalties though.
  23. Not looking forward to this. Ross County are no mugs. Surely we're due a win at home though?
