  1. Utter keech. Rode our luck at times.
  2. St Mirren at Fir Park is always a game I dread as this is a fixture we really should be winning, but it is seldom that straight forward. Equally other teams will feel that when we visit them. We're long over due an easy win against St Mirren but I will take a win of any sorts.
  3. Delighted to be proved wrong about how I felt the game might go. In an "Airplane" way I picked a helluva season to quit going to the away games.
  4. I would like nothing more than to be proved wrong about how I believe todays game will go.
  5. Couldn't make the game tonight but the match reports on here are pretty consistent in their damnation. Sounds like we were utter keech at home once again which is a worry. Hope the guy in the cooper is ok.
  6. Hibs look awful but so is our home form. 6 goals in 8 games with 3 of them coming in the one game!!! That needs to improve and hopefully will starting on Friday.
  7. I sadly predict another piss poor turn out from the 'Well fans on Sunday which is a crying shame. Obviously factors such as being on a Sunday, being on telly, and being a noon kick off do have an influence on the attendance but we're second in the league for fuck sake with a chance to go 6 points clear of Celtic!! If you consider yourself a 'Well fan and still can't be arsed making the effort to get down to Fir Park considering how well we're doing, chances are you never will. These stay away fans who probably haven't been to a game since the final and semi final will be the quickest and loudest to moan about ticketing procedures should we ever get to a cup final again n'aw.

    Stevie Hammell

Great player. Totally under rated and we didn't realise how good he was until he went to Southend. Craigan wrote a great piece on him in the cup final programme mentioning how Hammell would have every right to feel aggrieved about his lack of Scotland caps. I agree.
  9. Absolutely brilliant result. Sounds like we might have rode our luck a bit, but who cares? Not I.
  10. It occurred to me on the way out the game on Saturday that I felt I hadn't seen us score many goals at Fir Park this season. Didn't realise it was 1 in 4!! With Celtic at Fir Park next it could very well be 1 in 5!! That's absolute pish....but then we're sitting SECOND in the league!! Swings and roundabouts.
  11. Looking forward to the game and getting back to Fir Park. Can't stand these early kick offs though. I expect there will be a poorer than usual crowd as a result. No idea how the game will go, not even going to bother predicting the score!
  12. It's the price at the turnstyles and the cost of petrol that have put my attendances at away games at a minimum from season 09/10 onwards unfortunately . I've only been to a handful per season from that one to date after only missing the trips to Pittodrie, Inverness, Ibrox and Parkhead for about 15 years before that. £50-ish a go is too much money for me to justify most of the time at the moment. The teams form has very little if anything to do with my decision to go to away games. With regards to the "stay away" home fans, if they ain't gonna come and watch "their" team when we're second/third in the league (and have been since the first ball is kicked this season!), then they never will unfortunately. It's a sad state of affairs actually. Their were a big group of guys that sat near me in the East Stand for years but I haven't seen them since McGhee was in charge. They were in Nancy though and the cup final and would probably batter me if I dared suggest they were poor fans! Anyway, we're doing great. Can't stop looking at the league table!!
  13. It has to be said, what a fucking season we're having so far. Credit to McCall and the players.

    Faddy

It would sicken me to the pit of my stomach. Seen these type of headlines in the Daily Record before though.
  15. I hear you. You would think some of the stay away fans whose only game in recent times was the cup final might start to show up again?
  16. Absolutely fantastic result and quite unexpected. Oh ye have little faith!!
  17. Cannae argue with that really.
  18. It's a shame if the players feel some fans are being unduly harsh, I didn't think the booing was that loud? I saw Craigan dealing with a few fans at the substitution and then at the end and I thought he handled it brilliantly.
  19. The atmosphere at games isn't what it used to be (although the boys at the end are doing their best), in fact it's down right rubbish. My favourite game of last season was the Dundee Utd cup replay. In fact that could be in my "top games ever" in terms of performance also, but also because the atmosphere was great. I thought Saturdays atmosphere was kinda weird, and not in a good way. Perhaps the crowd were all still a bit miffed at the awful performance against St Johnstone the previous Saturday? And were still smarting from the Hibs game during the week? (which you could also argue we didn't technically lose?) It was a shit game on Saturday and we didn't play well, but we won, got it up Auld Judas and are sitting 4 points clear in 3rd so surely we should be absolutely bloody delighted at how thing are progressing? Apparently not... I think the Higdon and Jutkiewicz comparisons are way of the mark. The Juke may have took 3,4, 5, even 6 games to settle but after that it was pretty clear we had a player on our hands. Higdon is going to divide a lot of fans I think/fear. I don't think it's too excessive to shout or exclaim in frustration "oh for fuck sake" when a player makes an arse of what appears to be an easy pass etc.. Anyway, I quite often shout "C'mon the 'Well" or "Heads up" or encourage a Motherwell player who may be taking a throw in near us. I also have been known to utter "For Fuck Sake Motherwell" from time to time I admit and I miss singing and/or giving absolute dogs abuse to the opposition but most people around me sit in complete silence. I do fear what the crowd may become like though if we do go on a really wretched run. We are, and have been, living in pretty good times, and for a quite a few seasons now.
  20. I'd like to think the players motivation for the game tomorrow is not losing 3 games in 7 days at Fir Park against 3 teams that are generally regarded by all and sundry as absolute keech.
  21. All this paper talk pish about Aberdeen needing a win to make up to their fans is just stating the bleeding obvious. We need the win aswell and I'd like to see our players (regardless of who the starting 11 is) taking to the field with a point to prove themselves. Our need to avoid a potentially great week turning into an utterly stinking one is just as great and anything less from the players just will not do. Lose this game tomorrow and McCall and the players are going to have to work extremely fucking hard to get back into my good books.
  22. Barring injuries or suspensions I guarantee McCall will play the same starting 11 again on Saturday. Madness.
  23. Can we really lose 3 times in 7 days at Fir Park to 3 of the worst teams in the league? You betcha. It would be absolutely unforgivable though.
  24. Failing to beat a team widely regarded as keech at Fir Park over 90 minutes concerns me.
