  1. Motherwell by a mile. I probably care more about how Leeds do than Scotland actually. Used to be quite a passionate follower of Scotland. I was at Wembley for Euro '96 and was at the opening game of the World Cup in '98 but slowly became sickened with the players that got capped (and didn't) and eventually switched off. My interest picked up again when McFadden started playing and during that great qualifying campaign a few years ago but for a while now the sfa and the players that get capped (and don't!) I really couldn't give a monkeys. I also find it difficult, even impossible, to support guys like MacGregor, Brown, Kenneth etc.
  2. Bloody hell! That's an incredible stat! First of all, enormous credit to the players and management for showing the ability to bounce back from the Ibrox debacle and show the desire, fight and character to get the win and silence their critics, of whom I have been one, although of course, like everyone else through nothing other than concern and frustation. I doubted the players would have it in them to be honest and I'm delighted to be proved wrong. In fact, initially the win and the 3 points seemed to trump the fact that is really was/is the sweetest win we've had in a very long time. I'd even go as far as to say that the justice and relief I feel at last nights result almost restores my faith in humanity! It is of course the Motherwell way to then go out and lose to Accies! But hopefully the players and everyone in general will have gained a huge boost from this result and can carry it forwrad.
  3. I'm not ready to accept, but I am resigned to a defeat tonight. A point would be a great result. However anything less than a win against Accies on Saturday is a shambles/disgrace/disaster though and it really would be the straw that broke the camels back in terms of supporters (including mines) patience with this horrific run. It's not all McCalls fault (for the record I actually quite like him and how he comes across in interviews). Nobody wanted the job on the terms we were offering and that was also reflected in the most uninspiring appoinment imaginable with Kenny Black. The players have to take responsibility and without naming names, too many of them have been complete imposters this season and do not have it in them to roll up their sleeves when the going gets tough, and it's very tough right now.
  4. Neither. If the worst comes to the entirely possible worst, I don't think we'll hear a peep from the board.
  5. Due to being too punch drunk with how shite we are right now, I now only see this game as another game rather than the getitrightroundthelyingauldwanksbrownandknox that it would've been previously. If we were to face a team on a run as wretched as ours then I would be extremely apprehensive we were going to be the team to break their losing sequence. When the shoes on the other foot however, I can only see insult being added to injury. After an absolutely humiliating capitulation on Saturday, I think we are owed a massive response from the Motherwell players tomorrow night. It remains to be seen if we will get it though.
  6. These are both very good points. The next 3 games will have a far bigger bearing on our season than any trip to Ibrox and if McCall has risked a half fit or injured Lasley and Craigan on a game we were never going to win anyway it is absolutely crimminal!! As it is, I am so punchdrunk at how shite we are just now that Saturdays whipping is almost water off a ducks back. I expect defeat on Tuesday so I'm preparing myself to suck that up aswell, but anything less than a win next Saturday and I think I will genuinely implode. I am willing the players to prove me wrong, but they don't have it in them I fear.
  7. Can't see this being anything other than a defeat for Motherwell. Add a defeat to Accies into the mix and my season ticket will be going on the park.
  8. What injuries would that be? Saunders and Hammell? Hardly a full team out. I hope the players are absolutely fucking ashamed of themselves after that drubbing today. In my opinion McCall has to get a win from the next 2 games or he can fuck off n'aw. 1 win in 12 in the SPL? Malpas would wince at that, and don't rule out a relegation dogfight just yet due to the utter ineptness.
  9. Utterly embarrassing. I just want the whistle to go now.
  10. I know, I was justifying not going to myself more than anything!
  11. Sunday fitba sucks. Period. 1:15pm kick offs are even worse. For the record, for the first time in about 15 years away games last season and this season have been at a premium due to money (or lack of value for) and I'm just too damn busy to justify the time it takes to undertake such a journey.
  12. I didn't realise that this game had been moved to the Sunday at 1:15pm kick off until I read this thread. Well I guess that's the decision made for me about whether I'll be going or not then. That's me missed all 3 Scottish Cup games this year which I can't believe has happened to be honest. Feel a bit guilty, but away games just cost too much at the moment.
  13. I wish Jeffers all the best. Hopefully he can get a few goals.

    The Draw

Tough draw, but better than not being in the cup at all. Is Jennings now suspended for this game?
  15. The defending for the goal, like Rangers second in the semi final, was fucking crimminal. Seems to me like it was the same player on both occassions that was nowhere even near making a challenge. A total free header for both goals! Really really slack. Yeah, we hope that you play us of the park then we score a breakaway winner then. Wanker.
  16. Can't go to this unfortunately. Going to Elland Road to see Leeds v Coventry and booked the tickets ages ago when I saw we didn't have a game this weekend....and then realised it was cup weekend! I though Dundee would've beat us anyway! Stranraer are in the 3rd Division. If we don't beat these guys it would be one of the worst results in Motherwells history and McCall and Black should resign on the spot. Surely not? It is Motherwell though!
  17. Nothing can be ruled out, especially as we are in absolute freefall at the moment, and have been since Brown and Knox left. Every team goes through a bad run at some point that lasts about 5 or 6 games, but this is way beyond what you would normally consider "a bad run".
  18. Absolutely. Whether we get them or not is another matter.
  19. I missed the game due to work and although I'm scunnered we lost again, I am heartened that we seemingly played well and appear to have been unlucky. Still, the statistic of 1 win in 11 doesn't lie. I can't remember a run of form as wretched.
  20. Starting to get really worried about tonight. Badly badly need the 3 points as I can't see us taking anything from Ibrox and Pittodrie sadly.
  21. I thought it was the singer from Biffy Clyro!!
  22. Unless the weather lets up, it's going be very similar to the recent Inverness game and will boil down to which teams adapts to the horrendous conditions best and which team wants it more.
  23. This is my worry too. I fear another defeat. This feeling isn't helped by the fact, as far as I can remember, we have lost every game we've played immediately after a semi final!!

    Did You Know

The crowd was 57,319 in 1991 for the Cup final. I'd say we had half of that.
