I'm slightly puzzled bordering on annoyed that we have brought in a young defender on loan. I really hope Hutchinson isn't going to be dropped, but also I'm keen to see what Page can do. We already have Saunders and Hateley contending for defence also so I'm not convinced the boy Gunning is needed.

We played very well and came very close so there is an arguement that the tactics were good and worked to a certain extent. That said, Murphy is wasted out left and I absolutely cannot abide a strategy that allows the oppostion to waltz into our half and given time and space to find their passes. I prefer us to to put much more pressure on the ball.

In my posts leading up to the game I let it be known that I was quite apathetic about the semi final and Motherwell in general. On Sunday morning though cup fever was beginning to take it's hold and by the time kick off arrived I was really up for it. I thought the players played really well and can be really proud of their efforts. A couple of mistakes here and there, but we all feared a gubbing before the game and look how the players rose to the occassion. Lasleys equaliser and the subsequent celebrations will live long in the memory. I made the mistake of going with my dad into the slightly more expensive seats. Never again. Absolutely no atmosphere or singing in there, plus a couple of Rangers fans were sitting behind us who cheered when Rangers scored and that got my back up. They were told exactly how it is at the equliaser though! The best we've played in weeks and it's now absolutely essential we take this effort into the league games.

I think sadly we will see no more faces this window. Very disappointing.

A back 4 of Page - Saunders - Hutchinson - Hammell anyone?

I hear you and I feel the exact same way. I also fear our performance on Sunday will be reminiscent of all the other provincial teams who reach the last 4 only to turn in a lacklustre, inept and naive performance when they get to Hampden. Infact I'll be astonished on present form if it's anything other than that.

Oh don't worry, I blame a fair share of them aswell!!

Utter pish. Glad I didn't waste my time and money going but it doesn't make taking the result any easier. Really really disappointed and really worried to hear that we once again lacked the basic prerequsites required to win a football match. Heart and desire. We clearly don't have the players, but the players we do have should still have enough about them to get stuck in and roll up their sleeves. Certain players have shown nothing for weeks, if not months yet still get a start. At least give fucking Meechan, Page etc a chance! I fear the pish times are on their way back. If they aren't here already. Aberdeen winning again and Blackman scoring just sickens me further. I still, and always will blame Brown for this.

I think there will sadly be a poor turnout from Motherwell fans on Sunday. I think we will be doing well to take 4,000 which is a real shame. I get the feeling there is still a great deal of apathy about not only Motherwell but football in general at the moment, myself included to be honest, but there's no way I'd miss a trip to Hampden as they don't come round even nearly enough. On the day I think there is no doubt we'll lose but hoping we can at least give a good account of ourselves.

I won't be there on Wednesday due to work and I don't feel even slightly bad about it. The petrol and entrance money add up to an unacceptable ammount of money for me to part with anyway at the moment.

A great win and a great 3 points. Really pleased and just what we needed after the Grella debacle. I couldn't make the game yesterday, but delighted, and not even remeotely surprised to hear that Hutchinson had another good game.

Yet another huge, bitter, and possibly even embarrassing blow to the Motherwell fans. Every aspect is fast becoming an unfunny joke. I'm scared at what will be the next.

I am extremely worried about this appointment. Haven't heard one person say a good or positive word about Kenny Black.

Not even slightly I'm afraid. In my opinion at least. I'm not even remotely excited about the upcoming Semi Final, and I get the feeling neither is anybody else. Really strange since trips to Hampden are rare. That's just the general feel about the place. Even if McCall pulls a few signings or even loans out the bag and we hit a bit of unexpected form.....even then, we would still almost certainly have to dispose of one of the Old Firm. Of course while we are still in both cups there is always obviously still a chance. I'm not saying Aberdeen will win anything, but it is a big fear!

No chance for us. Not even slightly. I do worry Broon might win something with Aberdeen. That would be sickening. I fucking hated Aberdeen anyway (due to the large ammount of Lanarkshire Aberdeen fans I know) but now it's significantly worse. Interesting to note the great deluded glory hunting sheep of the North come out the woodwork as soon as their team put a few results together.

Really hope this doesn't happen. Is this how low we have sunk?

You know exactly what I mean but then you never miss an opportunity to be a pedantic c**t.

If the possible new signing turns out to be mothing short of sensational then of course there is a case, but I feel there's another centre half needs replacing rather than Hutchinson. I also believe, like many, that it is completely counter productive to bring in a young foreign player on a short contract and play him at the expense of one of our own young players that have come through the ranks.

Sounds promising. I don't want Navarro, or anyone else knocking Hutchinson out the team though.

A stick on Hibs win I'm afraid as that's just the ways things are right now. There's only so much we can change due to lack of options but maybe it's time to try a few different things as the tried and tested started 11 hasn't been cutting it. I still can't believe we're allegedly looking at centre halves. I'll keep my power dry for now though.....

We don't need a centre half in my opinion as we already have Hutchinson, Saunders, Page and Craigan. I'd much rather see the youth players get a chance, provided they're good enough, and Hutchinson is easily good enough. I'd like to think McCall called off the search for a centre half after Saturday. But the other would be welcome!
