I Good point. Games really could've went ahead in my opinion but hey ho.
-
I was as sick after that game as I've ever been. The atmosphere in Fir Park prior to kick off may never be bettered also.
-
I think this is a total non story that has most likely been blown out of all proportion.
-
Pish. No doubt won't be re-sheduled until well into the new year and at a date half of us can't attend. I do feel it's a tad hasty calling the Saturday games off on the Wednesday. Main roads were looking absolutely fine this morning and most of us have made it to work along slippy pavements. I'm sure we could make it along slippy pavements to Fir Park also.

I'm quite confident the game will be off and it will be hee haw to do with the pitch.

This. Dougalls comments regarding Ross Forbes goal were unbelievable. I can only conclude from them that he is a blinkered arsehole of the highest order.
-
Forbes was brilliant when he came on against St Mirren. I would be more than happy to see him given a chance in the centre of midfield. I can't wait to see Hutchinson play for Motherwell again.
-
If we take 4 points from that we'll be doing well. Killie are on fantastic run just now and I think that will be an extremely tough game. Would be looking to take at least a point though. Dundee Utd away is rarely easy and although they haven't hit the form they showed last season they are still a good side and I think a point from that wouldn't be a disaster and viewed as a decent result overall. We really should be beating Aberdeen considering how shite they are and everyone else can beat them, but this is Motherwell and we all what happens when we play a team that's on a terrible losing streak.
-
Might not be a bad idea but really hoping this doesn't signal the beginning of the end. At the start of last season this guy looked immense, like the new Shaun Teale infact! I really hope for his sake and Motherwells that he can go on to fulfil the potential he showed when he broke into the team.
-
Aye, a massive game if we have any intention of competing at the right end of the table, and even top 6 really as it is very tight. I wouldn't be too gutted if we only take a point, but I do think we have to take at least a point. I know it's stating the obvious but a win really would be great. My team would be Randolph Hateley Craigan Reynolds Hammell Humphrey Lasley (if fit, if not Forbes) Jennings Gow Blackman Murphy I don't want to see Hateley anywhere near the midfield and I think Forbes impressed a great deal when he came on against St Mirren and therefore deserves a start if Lasley still isn't fit. I have a feeling Sutton might start but hopefully not at the expense of Murphy. Fuck knows what the score will be, it's impossible to predict with Motherwell and gave up trying years ago!

It should just be Celtics game that the strike effects to be honest.
-
That is the most galling aspect in all of this. I would say that refs are already scared to give big decisions against Celtic (and indeed Rangers). Penalties to the away team and red cards to to the home team have been as rare as hens teeth in Glasgow since the dawn of time!
-
I totally agree with this. The fact that they haven't taken action on the above mentioned is because they are scared of Celtic and Rangers and Celtic know this and are pushing this issue as far as they can. Although what they actually hope to achieve out all this is still unclear to me.
-
Aye, but to be fair that's a present you can't guarantee! Would have a safer bet to ask for the Toy Story box set! Personally, all I ever want for Christmas is a win on Boxing Day!!! I seldom get what I want.
-
Is Maloney moaning that "the ref was dying to give a free kick to Dundee Utd"?!?!?! Surely he is having a laugh?!?!!?!? That should've been a booking aswell.
-
There's no doubt that Gow is an extremely skillful player, and could be a real asset. The trick is finding his best position.
-
They should be careful what they wish for as they get far more than their fair share of decisions. I find the fact that it's Celtic complaining of bad refereeing so ironic it's breathtaking!! It's time the "diddy 10" took a stand as they're the ones that have been shafted for 100 years by decisions going in favour of the Old Firm. Fat chance of that though.
-
I shouldn't be allowed to go. I've been to Dens Park 4 times, the first time was in the cup in 1988 and we lost 2-0. I've since been back 3 times and we've taken a measly 1 point!! It's a graveyard!!
-
Good point. We do have options for defence on the bench aswell. Can't see Craigan or Reynolds ever being dropped though.
-
Possibly a hint of truth in that. Especially the part in bold.
-
The first 70 minutes was as good an advert for never going to watch Motherwell at St Mirren as you're likely to see. Absolutely turgid stuff. When oh when are the people in charge going to realise that Hateley CANNOT play in midfield! I honestly believe he is costing us points when he plays there. I thought Craigan had another very shaky game. Fair play to St Mirren. they are pish, but won every 50/50 going and threw themselves at headers and generally looked more "up for it" than wee did. This is an ongoing problme with Motherwell in my opinion. Th game changed on Hateley getting taken out of the midfield and surprisingly Forbes was very good when he came on. Disappointing overall though and yet more points dropped against the teams at the bootom. I can't remember when this wasn't the way though. I really hope Lasley is back for next week and some of the others give themselves a shake also. Two other talking points. Firstly Higdon should've went after he chopped Murphy could've had no complaints. Secondly, the stewards. We all saw how the entire Celtic support were allowed to stand and belt out their usual shite plus about 20 invade the pitch last week. Obviously smarting from being told to let them do as they wanted, they seemed determined to make up for it today. Constant harrassment of the singing section, all of whom were just young guys, and whilst some were clearly no angels, they were singing supporting their team. Not content with finally throwing one of them out, they then took it in turns to speak to various other fans for apparently no reason. What a bunch of double standards shitebag bastards.

I'm going, but I've just recently been made aware it's all ticket?!?! Surely not. Anyhoo, this thread will only really take off once St Mirren have won!!!
