I'm just glad we got back to Hampden. I expect to get beat by whoever we play when we get there. That's not to say that I won't be there singing my heart out roaring them on on the actual night. I'll be going in the posh seats also. Too many idiots come out the woodwork for these games. same with Nancy and Odense.

Depends on the injury situation. Not to say that Lasley and Murphy aren't massive losses and won't be missed hugely, but if it's just them that miss the match I'd like to think we still have enough to beat Accies. If Hammell and Jennings miss it too then I think a draw wouldn't be a disaster all things considered. It's crazy talk to think that all we have to do is turn up and the 3 points are ours and I don't think Accies are as bad as the league table suggests, but let's hope they are! I usually fear the worst and hope for the best and this weekend will be no different. 1-0 Accies.

You're probably right. Stick page in there then and that would have to do.

If Murphy, Lasley, Jennings and Hammell are all out we'll be doing well to get a point in my opinion. If so I'd go with Randolph Saunders Hutchinson Craigan Reynolds Humphrey Hateley Forbes Gow Sutton Blackman

Hammell and Jennings struggling too apparently!!!

Good point. What the hell else am I meant to do at work now?!?! Was just about to add as well..... a few match reports now claiming the ball crossed the line for Utd in the stramash at the end?! I know it was close, but it didn't seem that close.
-
That is really bad news.

he truly is awful is he no?! I missed the first 17 minutes because of work but apparently didn't miss much. What I did see of the game was pretty turgid up and under stuff, but the main thing is we are finally back at Hampden!!! The players looked knackered and I think the crowd felt it too. I don't think anyone relishes playing the same team twice within the space of 4 days, which would part explain the flat atmopshere. My concern now turns to the fact we may now be carrying a few injuries. Lasley, Murphy, possibly Jennings and Reynolds also who both looked to be hobbling at the end. In fact Reynolds was very brave in the stramash at the end in which he/we showed great commitment to keep it out. I think we're a certainty to get one of the big two jobbies in the semi. I couldn't handle getting beat by a pish Aberdeen at this stage of the tournament.

Nae flags?!?! What a joke. Are we still allowed to cheer if we score?

Cheers guys.

I will be working until 7:30pm tomorrow, but could be at Fir Park for 8:15pm at the very latest. Can anyone tell me whether I would still be able to gain entry to the game? I have a friend who regularly misses anything between 5 to 40 minutes of the first half and always gets in!!

I think the best we can hope for regarding Blackman is getting him on loan till the end of the season. Hopefully we can get get Gow on a longer deal, provided he continues to show promise! I'd also like to see us offering Jennings a longer deal also although I feel/fear this will be left till the summer, which is not a criticism, just the way it is.

I'm willing to forgive Craigan only 'cos we won! Absolutely ridiculous!

Thought that was a great win and thoroughly deserved. I can't believe people thought Gow was poor and disappointing to hear him taking abuse!! I thought him and Blackman were excellent together and worked well. Sure it didn't always come off for Gow but you can see he is a very clever player. Murphy played very well too and although we definately missed Lasley initially, I thought Hateley settled in superbly, got stuck in and contributed postively to the result. Which I was a bit surprised at, albeit pleasantly! Just a pity we couldn't have taken a few more of our chances and really get it up them. (Although I don't really have anything agsinst Utd) Getting Blackman and Gow signed up till the end of the season must be a priority for us after yesterday, but I'm sure Paw and Archie know that and are on the case. Regarding the lineman.....that was hilarious and I don't think I've ever seen that before. He made a very poor decision which the entire stadium reacted to and then the East Stand rose like a riled mexican wave as he ran up the line!! Magic! He paused in the one place for a bit too long near where I sit and he was hit with both barrells (and rightly so!) about the corner decision and then turned and snapped at the steward (who was just a young girl) that she shouldn't be letting the crowd shout at him like that! Loads of folk heard him and not surprisingly this just made it worse! I wasn't even really that riled, but what an opportunity to stick it to an official!! It may actually have worked as I remember getting quite a lot of 50/50 calls after that! Whether because he realised that he had made a mistake with the corner, or maybe because he shat it from the east Stand. Hope we can follow that on to Tuesday as I wasn't impressed with Utd at all.

I think Mark deserves his move and as much as he'll be missed Hutchinson and Saunders will be able to step up and take his place. We have done well to hold onto Mark this long so it was always on the cards. Pity we'll only get peanuts for him.

Did St Mirren field a reserve team?
-
I'd be hoping for a 3 win, 1 draw, 1 defeat or 2 win, 2 draw, 1 defeat type combo. 2 wins anyway. Hard to say though.
-
Pretty bad collapse to be honest. Losing 3 goals in 5 minutes is fucking shocking.
-
Whilst I agree with that, our defending that night was scandalous! 5 out of the 6 goals involved the Hibs player cutting in back from the by line to be passed into the nest for fuck sake!!
-
I don't know, that's usually how you get capped if you sign for one of the Old Firm!! Certainly worked like that for that boy Danny Fox (who has mysteriously disappeared of the International radar since leaving Celtic) For me this is a total non starter and I can't believe it's even being talked about! Reynolds and Hammell are far more deserving. Infact it's an absolute travesty that eedjit Bardsley has been plucked from nowhere before them. From a Motherwell(ish) point of view O'Brien, Clarkson, McCormack are also much far up the pecking order before Humphrey.
-
No chance. A total non starter.

I was at both those games and remember them well. At the Dumfermline game I got Derek Adams away strip off the kit man at the time who I had become friends with. When Dougie Ramsay opened the scoring at Rugby Park I ran down the steps and he "high fived" me as he ran by! A proud moment for my family I'm sure you'll agree!

I saw "Tinker" the photographer walk by the East Stand on Saturday!

Yep, I would be devastated to leave Fir Park full stop to be honest.
