Remember taking the headline into my maths teacher (who claimed to be a massive Rangers fan)the next morning and just left it on hid desk for him to come in!! I sat there grinning from ear to ear and when he finally clocked it, he sent me out the class!! His purecannaetakeitness was rife!! Magic.
  2. Bollocks to it being treacherous!! 1 or 2 players slipped once each! Hardly 90 minutes of slapstick-esque football as the sensationalist headlines would have you believe!!
  3. Made a great start and then it was almost as if we didn't want to get a 2nd goal. Were very lucky to go in 1 up at half time, despite dominating the first half. Made our traditional 2nd half start of allowing the opposition into the game resulting in the expected equaliser (which Jennings had all the time in the world to launch clear, instead he headed it stright back to them!) which we really have to learn to eradicate. From then on in, right until the penalty, we were as poor as I can remember. Why/how we managed to play that badly was worrying. Very fortunate to get the win, but not complaining as we should've beaten Hibs and probably Aberdeen. The league table makes great reading right enough and once again Broons post match comments were spot on.
  4. The pitch looks absolutely fantastic. How anyone can even contemplate beginning to knock it is incredible really. The press are utter wankers.
  5. I've never been more certain of an away win in my life!!
  6. Perhaps we shoud stand and sing sectarian songs week in week out? The authorities would appear not to have a problem with that.
  7. Good/bonus/unexpected 3 points count for nothing if you then don't pick up any points against shite that can't buy a win at home in the following game. I'm sure you you do get it, or at least understand this feeling.
  8. This. Although I'll be fucking raging even more so than usual if it comes to pass and the great win at Tynecastle will count for nothing.
  9. Lasleys flick to set up Murphy for the one that hit the post was absolutely brilliant! Deserved a goal.
  10. I agree with that, but what worries me about St Mirren game is that we are almost expected to win by everyone. Even by myself! And I usually think we are going to lose every week! (including this Saturday!!)
  11. Baws. I hate double headers as we tend to lose both of them!! Cards on the table, we will this time also.
  12. It is at least comforting that others share the concerns I have about our season so far.
  13. Wouldn't have thought Gow was a lone striker in a million years. Strange one to deploy him in that role in my opinion. To be honest I would be quite happy for Forbes to get a couple of starts at the moment. Who else can play left midfield?
  14. I would make a few changes tonight. McHugh, Gow, Forbes and Page would all be in my starting line up. A bit nervous about this one, but surely tae fuck?!?!
  15. Well that was utter fucking keech. Not good enough, not even close. Long ball pish, Hateley at LEFT BACK for fuck sake. Useless. Long season ahead folks.
  16. I predicted a defeat (in an attempt a reverse psychology possibly?!) and was delighted to be proved wrong! Great 3 points.
  17. St Johnstone are my outside bet to make the top 6 this year and I beleive they are in a false position in the league, albeit we're only 3 games in. Would settle for a point to be honest but am expecting a defeat (when am i not?!?!). I would play Randolph Page Craigan Reynolds Hammell Humphrey Lasley Jennings Gow Murphy Blackman Have a feeling Broon will start with Steelboys team which isn't an unreasonable one to be fair. 2-0 Saints though I'm afraid.

    Ins & Outs

    Was just thinking that myself.
  19. I thought the Celtic fans were going to be held back after the game? I was out sharp at full time and the streets were swarming with them!! Not a polis in sight n'aw.
  20. I thought the Celtic supports chanting was particularly bad yesterday. I gave up shouting at the ref after a while. I agree with the above poster. The baw is burst and Scottish footballs integrity is now non-exsistant due to the ref's pandering to these mutants.

    Ins & Outs

I'd agree with that as well. We'll be fighting at the wrong end of the table this season barring a massive change in tactics and/or personnel.
  22. You think? I thought that as well, till we gifted them 4 goals at Parkhead last season.
  23. A win on Sunday would fair cheer me up but I can't see it. There's a school of though that playing the Old Firm after they have suffered a painful and/or heavy defeat is the worst time to play them and I half subscribe to that. There's another belief that the law of averages dictates you get a win against them every now and then and it's been over 5 years since we last beat them at Fir park (Skippy Sunday) and part of me believes that also. We are long over due a win against them. That said, we'll either get pumped or it will be close, we will get beat though. Our players will be probably be spent after last night and Celtic have too big a squad to call upon if theirs are in the same situation.
  24. I agree with 95% of you post Jay, except the bit about the atmosphere. I thought before the game and right up until the goal it was absolutely electric. Real "hairs standing up on the back of your neck" stuff. The Odense goal understandably knocked the wind out everyones sails, and after that, due to the bad refereeing and frustrating inability to convert even one of the hatful of chances we created, the crowds mood and response was entirely understandable and as I would expect it to be. Even one ultimately meaningless goal would've changed all that but it wasn't to be.
  25. The fans are clearly out there (and not just for cup finals!!).
