Hateley and O'Brien are undoubtably key, but then so are Lasley, Hammell, Craigan, Jennings, and Sutton! Which ones could we do without, or replace relatively easily?
-
I'm sure we were told they had signed 18 month deals. I /we were certainly given the impression that this was the case.
-
Surely tae fuck not?! Can anyone confirm this either way?
-
There's always something to worry about, and this is worrying me. Should we lose a few of these players then it's another rebuilding job in the summer. Perhaps we could get Gannon to recommend another few?
-
Nothing settled yet. Still far too much football to be played before we can start to plan ahead. Hearts will believe they can catch us, and to be honest, until it's mathematically impossible, so will I!!
-
Good idea. Hopefully we'll get a decent crowd.

On the news there. Broon and Knox already looking for Ruddy and Jutkiewicz's replacements as Moyes has so no to another loan spell and Broon admits both are too expensive to buy. Big gloves and boots to fill. The new goalie especially is on a hiding to nothin'!

IF someone offered me the chance to go and watch Man Utd I'd definately be up for it providing I felt it was value for money. But I would never go and regularly watch them or any other team over Motherwell on a regular basis!! Sadly I know of quite few folk from the Lanarkshire area who go and watch Man Utd regularly, and they used to go and watch Motherwell. I just don't get it, and it fucks me off a wee bit to be honest.

Plenty of fitba still to be played! Count yer European chickens before the European eggs are hatched at yer peril!!!!

I have been concerned about Shaun Hutchinsons injury for a while. I would rather he didn't play until it was 100% cleared up and then some. He may have been rushed back too early and this has made it worse. He looks like a real prospect.

I have to pinch myself when I think about this run we are on. Magnificent! Can't add anything else to comments made on the game by everyone else. Everyone is playing very well at the moment. Like everyone else is saying, the attendances are very poor at the moment. It's very disappointing and the players deserve a full house for the way they are playing. Also I can't understand why people don't stay to the end to cheer the team off after such a great win. Everyone seems hell band on being in the starter blocks to get out the East Stand at the full time whistle! You must save yourself a whopping 5 minutes in getting home by doing that! Why not stay and cheer the team off? I felt like singing and standing on my chair at the end on Saturday, but there's nobody there within seconds off the whistle blowing. Poor show in my opinion.

My team would be Ruddy Hateley Craigan Reynolds Hammell Humphrey Jennings Lasley O'Brien Murphy Jutkiewicz Harsh on Sutton but if Jutckiewicz is fit I think he should start. Hopefully the decision to rest Lasley, Murphy and O'Brien during the week will pay off. As for the score, I'm not sure but I think it will be very tight.
-
Your absolute arse. That's exactly when we realised how good a thing we had had. Hammell is one of the first names of my team sheet every week aswell.

The quest for 5th place and indeed 3rd or 4th will be hampered more by the 0-0 draws with Accies, St Mirren and Falkirk more than a defeat against Hearts. Still, great to be talking about it rather than matters at the wrong end of the table.
-
A bit of a disappointing result but who are we to demand to win every game? Sounded pretty turgid stuff and I hope that all the changes to the starting 11 were with a view to resting players from Perth in preparation for the Hearts game. In isolation the three 0-0 draws against the bottom 3 teams is disappointing, but over all there is still hee haw to moan about really!
-
Your petty way is also my petty way! Fuck them. I however believe this game will be a draw. We can't keep winning all the time. Can we?
-
Yes. But we possibly can start to discuss the Top 6.
-
Absolutely. Gannon may have had his massive personality flaws that ultimately were his undoing, but the players he sourced (apart from the full back from Charlton who's name I can't spell!) were by and large fantastic signings! Could anyone else have realistically re-built the shell that McGhee left us so well? Brown and Knox however have been the ones that have got us playing though and hopefully they will be the men to persuade all of Gannons signings to re-sign.
-
Absolutely sensational win! We are on fire! Delighted. Great times!

Are any of the Motherwell players we think should be playing for Scotland good enough to play international football? Probably not. Are any of the other eejits that continually get capped good enough? Definately not. So by that logic I think the overlooking of Hammell, Corrigan, Reynolds etc is a poor show. Dixon, Kenneth, Fox, Broadfoot, Langfield etc are no better (and in my opinion in many cases worse!) than what we have playing for us!
-
Like others I think this will be one of our toughest games of 2010 so far. Hopefully O'Brien and Jutkiewicz will be available again. I wouldn't be too disappointed with a draw although looking back the 0-0's away to Falkirk and Accies are a bit disappointing. St Johnstone are a far better team than either of those two though.

It's not too much of a hassle and these things are neccessary unfortunately. As much as I do object to being searched when entering a football match/gig/etc, when asked "do you have any bottles or objects in your pockets" as I was on Saturday I answered "of course not". As I never would have. My main gripe will be the slackening (if that's a word) of policies when the biggest sources of trouble roll into town. And I'm still waiting on the head steward in the South Stand giving me his salary as promised at the Nancy home game!
-
It's a phenomenal run we're on. All hail Broon, Knox and indeed the players. Good times.

What makes this decision all the more galling is the very same review panel looked at our appeal against Clarksons accidental contact with Paul Caddis last season and said "Naw, the red still stands". What a fucking joke.
