  1. That was just mental really. Magic magic magic news. We are the 'Well!!
  2. That is my concern also. I'd like to think it is Boyles too.
  3. What a guy!!! I'd take more than a few weeks off if that had happened to me.
  4. I suppose we need to sell someone in order to finance replacing the pitch again in the summer!!
  5. If Reynolds goes it should be for no less than what Accies got for McCarthy plus a sell on fee. It's about time Motherwell played hardball when losing our best assets rather than selling them for the first offer. Reynolds is still very young yet has 3 full seasons under his belt during which he has missed very few games through injury and/or suspension. Probably not even the finished article and yet still a very accomplished player.
  6. Was very surprised to see Flkirk get gubbed like that today, but quite often playing a team just after they've had a particularly humiliating defeat can be the worst time to play them. Falkirk are bottom of the league and we are in 6th so we really should be looking to take 3 points from this. It never works out like that though does it? I would be extremely disappointed with a defeat, but not entirely surprised as that's often the way these things go. Who knows though?!
  7. The pitch looks pretty bad, which is a shame considering that's probably where all the money from Clarkson went!! I'll need to consult the highlights from other games to see if everone elses look just as bad, if they don't, then serious questions need to be asked as the media are already falling over themselves toput the boot in. I would also highly recommend that Ruddy takes a touch before clearing the ball in future as on a few occassions yesterday it looked like the ball might take an unfortunate bounce (or not!) and go under his foot.

    St Mirren Thread

Gus MacPherson has an absolute cheek to even think about blaming the pitch for anything yesterday. St Mirren were one of the worst teams I can remember seeing play recently and can consider themselves lucky the finished the game with 11 men.
  9. For me this has dragged on far too long now. Either give them the job now, or don't, but do it now!

    St Mirren Thread

Initial thoughts.....great 3 points, I was dreading it before hand and feared and predicted the worst!!! Delighted the players proved me wrong. Everyone played well and St Mirren were absolutely atrocious. Special mention to Dougie McDonald, who once again was completely inept. Allowed various fore-arm smashes to go unpunished and Mehmet must have had 8 or 9 fouls against him without one word in his ear let alone a booking. Thought the pitch looked pretty ropey but considering the recent weather should we be surprised?
  11. If Boab is offered a contract then "no!"
  12. Fair enough getting to train with us, but he can fuck off when it comes to a contract!! How much money did Motherwell waste on him the first time round? A couple of good free kicks aside, he never even broke sweat.

    St Mirren Thread

It will surprise few that I agree with that. Go on Motherwell, prove me wrong!!! (Again)
  14. Of course we have no divine right to beat anyone, even a team from a division below us, and anyone that thought that perviously surely doesn't anymore. But I'd say going out the Scottish Cup to entirely beatable opposition for the 6th year running with not so much as a whimper is pretty fucking pathetic. And an embarrassing trend that shows no sign of halting.
  15. I think the reaction from the fans regarding yet another pathetic exit from the cup has been very understated, but if it comes to pass that we are unable to retain Ruddy and Jutckiewicz till the end of the season because of this then the dummy will be well and truly spat!
  16. There's no way our season is over, I fully expect it to get worse!! The big test will be how the players respond to the defeat at ICT against St Mirren. Failure to take any points from the next few games will see us dragged in down near the bottom again unfortunately.
  17. If the job is to be Browns, then for me it has to be a 2 or 2 and a half year contract. None of this "till the end of the season" pish. That will be no use in retaining and/or attracting players if they know the manager is leaving or if we don't have one in place.
  18. This concerns me aswell and sadly I fully expect another massive rebuilding job in the summer. Fair play to Gannon however he is remembered; he brought in a shedload of players and all of them look good enough.

    Our Record

Me too!!! This is absolutely ridiculous putting this live on the telly!.
  20. Thus ensuring it won't happen then.
  21. Personally, I never rule out relegation until it is mathematically impossible.
  22. I'd say no, it's definately not a good thing but I'll be a far worse mood if St Midden beat us on Saturday. I no longer dream of getting to Hampden (which I do crave) because we are simply incapable of beating whoever we are given in the cup. Regardless of who the manager/league form/ or starting 11 are. SPL status is the absolute priority and as long as we achieve that (preferably with something to spare) I'm afraid that's the best we can hope for anymore.
  23. "Always next year" my fucking hole. I can't say I'm surprised but it still pisses me off. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Motherwell should just withdraw from all cup competitions as our record is fucking embarrassing. Every single year we go out to entirely beatable opposition with a whimper. Every fucking year. That's ICT twice in recent times, Ayr Utd, Dundee, St Johnstone, St Mirren countless times. Every year bar 2003 and 1992 when we at least went out fighting our cup record since winning it is fucking shocking. That said, playing on a Monday and a Saturday is a joke.
  24. I feel a helluva lot better!
