  1. Defeat on Boxing day will initiate such a pact though!
  2. I'm now of the opinion after an hour and 20 minute long phone call with Frazzle that the best we can hope for from this game is a point.
  3. Vadocz!!! Forgot about him. He could've went on to be some player for us.
  4. One thing about all these teams stands out. The defences are all average at best with an almost embarrassment of riches when it comes to choosing strikers. I'm surprised, make that astonished, that Leitch is in any of the teams.
  5. Come to think of it, I don't think Teale did play for us in the 00's. He fell out with Boyle and played his last game late '99. (Thus costing us Europe in my opinion!) Don't know who I would play in his place then. Partridge? Craigan? Tony Vaughan?!?! Sengewald? Strong? Kinniburgh? Denham?
  6. Phew, this took a bit of time....still not completely decided... Ruddy Corrigan Teale Reynolds Paterson A. McCormack O'Donnell McFadden R. McCormack Porter McDonald Subs Elliot Spencer Pearson Hammell Clarkson Brannan
  7. Exactly what my fears are and anything less than the above mentioned haul and that's what we can look forward to.

He'll be a big loss no doubt about it. There's no way we should be looking to lose him for peanuts either. Especially to a direct competitor. As and someone else said, if accepted, sends out a completely the wrong message to other teams potentially wanting to sign anymore of our players. ie you can get them for next to nothing.
  9. All I want for Christmas is 3 points on Boxing Day! Win this and all is forgiven for Ibrox. Hopefully get a big response from the players after that and if there's any justice we'll win with a bit too spare. St Johnstone are no mugs though and this will be a really really tough game. We were 15 points ahead of bottom spot not long ago and that's now down to 8 so as much as it's not a "must win" in the most literal sense, it really could have a big bearing in whether we go on to remain out of the dogfight at the bottom, or get sucked into it. The league is spit in two now and with even a modest haul of 6 or 7 points from the last 5 games, we could've been on the right side of the split. As it is, our tally from recent games (albeit against the best teams in the league) has been crimminal and we have allowed the teams below us to gain a lot of ground. 6 points from Saints, Hearts and Accies really is the minimum we want to be taking as we are on the slippery slope and need to halt it. In short, I'm bricking it.
  10. A truly truly embarrassing result. Been a while since we were hammered like that. St Johnstone is an absolute must win, but then it always was.
  11. Boxing day 2002 was the last victory over the vile h*n. It should've been September 2009 if Jim O'Brien could take a penalty!
  12. To be honest, I can see both sides.
  13. Difficult to argue with any of that to be honest.

£20,000!!!! Of all the derisory bids we've ever received for anyone that really is the lowest of the low. What a fucking cheek McGhee has. I really hope Boyle tells them where to go with that.
  15. To Jim Gannon - A lot has been made of your criticism of referees yet you chose, publicy at least, not to criticise the ref against Celtic despite him bottling out of a justified 2nd yellow for Barry Robson and then booking Pollock for vitually nothing. Celtic were also awarded a very soft penalty which most certainly would have not been given up the other end. Also, what was the thinking behind giving Meechan his debut when the experienced Lasley could've played there and bringing on Pollock when we had Sutton? What are the chances of us keeping Ruddy and Jutkiewicz till the end of the season?

    Celtic

Ruddy is the obvious choice, but I though Jutkiewicz, Murphy, Jennings were good too. The decision to play Meechan and bring on Pollock considering Lasley and Sutton were available is baffling bordering on worrying. But that's possibly for another thread.....
  17. I'm off the fence aswell, get him tae fuck. Once Hutchinson is fit get Saunders out to right back.
  18. I can't believe after everything that's been said that Gannon felt the ref had a good game!! Barry Robson should've been off for his 2nd bookable offence near the end and the young guy Pollock was booked for hee haw! I got texts from people watching it on the telly that McGeady was booked for kicking out off the ball, so why no red? Would the penalty Celtic got have been given up the other end? I don't think so.
  19. For me this is a bit of a disaster and I'm astonished it hasn't received more of an outcry from the 'Well fans over this. For me, easily our best player of the season up to the recent Aberdeen game (and speculation) and if (and when) he moves in January, you can bet your arse it'll be for a pittance also! I'm beelin'!!!!
  20. What for? Has he fallen out with the manager?
  21. I agree with most of what MJC says I'm afraid. That was a hammering in all but the score itself and questions now need to be asked of where our next win is going to come from. No Sutton or O'Brien (again!) today and two young lads making their debuts?!?! Very strange indeed. This seemingly delibrate tactic of allowing teams time to turn/pick pass etc is fucking killing us as is the apparent unwillingness to make a tackle! At half-time we all remarked how well Murphy and Jennings were playing and joked that they would be substituted. It beggars belief that this came to pass. God help us if Ruddy and Jutkiewicz leave in January. The upcoming St Johnstone and Accies games are now absolute must wins if we are to avoid being sucked into the ever approaching bottom group.
  22. I think we lost that game 2-0. Thomson was at it and duped Adams into a reaction which unfortunately he took. December 2003 I think. The "Faddy going to kill Lennon" game I think was April 2003. I could be wrong however. I think Peter Grant was sent off in a 1-1 draw in late '94.

What are we going to get for him in January then? Anything less than 100k and we should be outside Fir Park with pitchforks and flaming torches!
  24. He scored and then missed the retaken penalty in Albania did he not?
