We care that once again we are the AA of Scottish football and despite all the "we will approach these games with the same attitude blah blah" from McGhee, we are a goal down against opposition that has been FUCKING PISH all season.

It's a poor show from Motherwell once again I'm afraid. I've forgot how many times I've thought and said that over the years.

Sorry to go against the grain, but I'd rather we didn't qualify for Europe. We don't, and won't have the squad, to do anything and and our league form will undoubtably suffer. That was what happened this season and was one of the reasons I felt the whole thing was a bit of an anti-climax. The best thing about Europe was beating Aberdeen 2-1 to all but clinch it. It was one of the few times we've actually filled Fir Park for a "must win" game, and actually done it!

Very sorry I couldn't make it due to work. Sounds great. Well done to the guys who organised it and big ups to all the players, past and present, who lent their support.

What worries me is we're still not mathematically safe! If Falkirk beat us next week I will really start panicing! 3 wins in 15 attempts against St Mirren now also. That is fucking embarrassing.

Patersons not getting a game. Neither is Lappin. I'd love them both back. My biggest worry is we need a minimum of 3 or 4 quality additions to the squad over the summer even if Hughes and Klimpl STAY. Which I don't think either will. I'm not a betting man, but what are the chances of us starting next season with a smaller and weaker squad than we did this one? Pretty high I would've thought. We have no money and McGhees dealings in the transfer market are an extremely mixed bag so far. I'm away to put my head in the oven.

Exactly. I don't know why I'm so angry as todays performance and result is hardly a surprise. Time for the entire team to have a good long look at themselves.

That result is a fucking embarrasment today. Win against a team that hasn't won in 2009 in the SPL and we quite predictably didn't turn up. In fact, we have bottled it in EVERY big game this year. Fucking useless shower that they are. Fucking useless.

Will wait and see. This season has been a bit disappointing, but not entirely unexpected to be a bit flatter than the one previous. Failing to capitalise on last seasons heroics by starting this season whith the smallest squad in living memory got me worried before a ball was even kicked. That said, the run we have went on in 2009 has been very impressive. Just lacking that wee bit of quality to turn umpteen draws into a win. I think we've only scored more than two goals on two ocassions this season? (4-0 at Tannadice and 3-2 v Falkirk?) which is a bit worrying and yet have never lost when we have scored 2 goals!? So by being a bit more clinical in front of goal we'd be home and dry for the top 6 and right in there for Europe as well!! My final decision on whether I renew or not will be based on who goes in the summer, and more importantly, who is brought in to replace them and to further strengthen. If EVERYONE stays ie Hughes, Buzz, Klimpl etc....we still need 3 players on top of that in my opinion. If they go, we will need 5 or 6 in total I think. Anything less than that and we will stnad still at best. Obviously would be great to kep McGhee as well but for me he has yet to really prove himself in the transfer market thus far. Even if I don't buy one, I will no doubt make my way to almost every game home and away once again anyway.

Aberdeen fans can want McGhee all they want. It'll have no bearing on on whether he goes there whatsoever. They're greetin' cos they've had a few nasty cup results of late. So fuck!? Who hasn't?

I would take several of Falkirks players. Higdon, Barr, Arfield, and Cregg for starters. Will McGhee stay another year? When is his contract up anyway? I've a feeling we won't get to keep Klimpl and with that in mind it would be madness to let Lasley go. Boab, Fitzy, McGarry, and possibly D. Smith should be punted. Definately need another stricker and left sided midfielder are essential.

Any chance of somene from the club banning Hugh Keevins from ever entering Fir Park again?

I am absolutely bricking it for Saturday. 3 wins in 14 versus St Mirren is a hideous statistic, but if we can't beat them, then frankly we don't deserve to be there. That said, if we do beat St Mirren, but Hibs also beat Rangers, then I think the fans won't be too hard on the players for their efforts over the piece despite the obvious disapointment. I really hope the fans and especially the players turn up on Saturday! Even although Europe may well be beyond us if we do make the top 6, I'd still much rather be involved in those games (and maybe costing one of the big two the league!) than in the bottom six games which will be difficult to get motivated for. At Christmas, I would've bitten your hand off to even be in this position, but now that will be a difficult slant to console ourselves with should we now not at least beat St Mirren.

Very pleased by those pieces of news. I'm delighted they've reduced for prices for Saturday and hope everyone will make the effort to get down. Absolutely gutted I can't make the game on myself though. Maybe it's for the best.

So.....after all is said and done, all we need to do to change the entire perception of how the season is viewed, regardless or Europe, and achieve an entirely acceptable outcome, is beat a 2nd bottom of the league St Mirren who haven't won in the SPL in 2009. As others have said, if we can't do that then we deserve to be exactly where we are right now. Bottom six.

How long has McGhees contract got to go? Another year after this season or is he out of contract at the end of this one? I fully expect Hughes to leave, but like Porter, I feel it is better to have players of that calibre here for a couple of years than never have them at all. Which two would that be? I honestly can't see us getting Europe this season. If we had beat Killie and Aberdeen then maybe, but now I sadly don't think we'll even get Top 6. Not that I expect that, but we're going to miss out by a whisker this year and end up playing 5 games with very little to motivate us. That said, technically we're not mathematically safe........
