It definately could be a case of "you don't know a good thing till it's gone" with McGhee. Has been almost zero speculation linking him with any other jobs this season though? Maybe he will be here for the long haul? Certainly hope so.

Even McGhee was quick to concede it wasn't an "inspired substitution" and that sometimes these things just happen. Clarksons goal came about from his urgency to put himself in the right position. That's the x factor he offers.

Claskson should've been on at least 10 minutes earlier yesterday. He has pace, drive, determination, and isn't scared to "take one for the team". Everything Sherisan doesn't have. Don't want to get stuck into Sheridan too much, he did ok, but he doesn't look interested and Clarky is just such a better option imo.

Sutton and Clarky for me by a mile. If Clarky is tired as McGhee says he is then that's fair enough....then it's Jamie Murphy to start in his place. I think Sheridan looks an ok player, but as someone else says and I agree, he's shat out of umpteem challenges in the games I've seen him in and doesn't look like he's remotely prepared to get in about it for the cause. We need everyone giving 100%, not picking and choosing when to make any effort. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the starting line up I'm afraid.

Pretty much sums it up for me. My one criticism is Sheridan doesn't look like his hearts in it and now way should he start before Clarky ever again. Clarky has everything that Sheridan doesn't and would run through brick walls for the cause. He's also quicker, braver, and just generally much much better. Plus he's an actual Motherwell player!!! I actually thought Quinn did well at right mid. Levein can bit ma banger. I honestly couldn't believe Brines didn't give the foul/penalty (not sure if it was in the box) but it definately looked a foul and I thought that was a big break. To go up the pitch and score right from that probably made him even angrier, but I've seen it done over the years to us so tough titty. As someone else said, Utd got more of the 50/50 decisions over the peace and Brines is a total shitebag arrogant polis bastard. What did we do to deserve him again so soon? Quinn telling the East Stand to keep the ball was class. Top 6 still ain't in the bag though, nevermind Europe, although we can probably relax about relegation now surely?

Nobodys started a thread on this yet so I'll take the initiative. Massive game, anything less than a win and 4th is unachievable I feel. To be honest, I think it's great we're even talking about 4th, as even the top 6 is far from a formality. My only thoughts on the starting line up would be not to play Clarky in midfield.

Was quite a good night although I felt it deserved a better turnout. Maybe if they plan a similar event again positive feedback will filter through to the folk who missed it and the next one will be even busier? It's good for the club to organise these things but we all need to turn up an support these ventures. Highlight of the night for me was speaking to Mark McGhee who was thoroughly decent and appeared to not mind having a brief chat which was really nice of him and he didn't have to do that. He said him and the players will be pretty annoyed if we don't make Europe, and I added that no-one expects this really but it's great that they feel that is their goal. I also felt the attendance of the management team lent the whole event a lot of credibility. Spoke to Scott Leitch aswell and he certainly was not afraid to speak his mind regarding referees! Magic! A pity Rab McKinnon and Brain Martin weren't there as advertised but hey ho.. I know it was just a bit of a laugh but folk shouting out the answers during the fans quiz part would have seriously pissed me off if it had been more than free entry to the Mega Bar at stake!

It was a shocking challenge and I'd rather folk from the club came out and said as much. If someone put a challenge like that in on one of my team mates I would've flew for him! And he can fuck off when he comes in to the dressing room afterwards. He would've got flown for then aswell. Craigan has his eye completely on the ball and the big dirty bastard just comes in late and fucks him. A shitebags challenge and he knew fine what he was doing. Shabby Glasgow and co can get tae fuck with their, as McGhee puts it, "pantomime" theatrics on the side at every single challenge and then one of their players puts in one like that! And aye. Clarky is nae use out wide. Play him up front with either Sutton or Sheridan. It didn't work with Porter and Sutton, it's not gonna work with Sheridan and Sutton.

Maybe I'm biased, but I haven't seen him commit one shocking tackle yet. Fouls yes, but no more than a competitive player trying to win the ball. I think a few of his yellows have been harsh. He is commited and not scared to tackle and will give away the odd free kick, but it's not like he's putting the boot in the way Falkirk did a few weeks ago at Fir Park or Nades last night.

Having just seen the Nade/Craigan incident there I think it's an absolute shocker. Jammy bastards for the winner but we need to defend better.

It would be very interesting to hear what is said in private between the police and clubs regarding making mid week games all ticket.

We've did great to get ourselves back into contention of even talking about Europe but for me as the top 6 isn't secured yet that's all I'm looking at. Just so I don't get carried away of course. I think all 4 games coming up are winnable but at the same time could easily be lost (which I know is stating the obvious!). I'd bite yer haun aff for a point on Wednesday, but we need to win the home games coming up and take at least a point of Killie if Europe is to be a reality. That said, Europe could be achieved by finishing 5th, and I do think that isn't outwith the realms of possibilty. 3rd may be a bridge too far though. Everything to play for and we're in a great postion. Just imagine if we hadn't went on that horrific run before Christmas!!!

1 up and 1 down from the SPL to 1st Division is bollocks in my opinion. It should be a 16 team SPL with some sort of play off system in place for teams finishing 2nd/3rd bottom and 2nd/3rd top. If we went down it could take us years to get back up (like Dumfermline), and despite having a reasonably successful season, it would count for nothing. The "diddy 10" would probably vote against this though as it would mean less games against the big two. Although with the dwindling travelling supports they are now bringing, maybe it's time for a re-think?

This is an outrage as far as I'm concerned. Last seasons strips were crackers and only lasted 1 season. Forked out for this years new strip as we were told it would be for 2 seasons and now it's going to be changing AGAIN!!! Bollocks.
