  1. I think nearly every 'Well fan should be dining on humble pie with regards to Jim O'Brien. Certainly not without a few flaws and obviously still a long way to go with what he can bring to the team, but definately looks to have a few tricks and attributes that obviously attracted the signing to be made in the first place. In everyones defense though, certainly from my point of view, we were frustrated about the lack of signings in the summer and he was one of very few. I think we all felt, if he's been signed he should be playing, and he wasn't. Coupled with the line McGhee said a few times "I won't sign anyone unless he's better than what we've got" and we all started to wonder what was going on! Same goes for Klimpl. I was far from impressed when I saw him at centre half in his initial games. However his presence in midfield has been very influential in the last 3 games. I also loved the way he went round all the 'Well players last night at full time giving them the "double high 5's"!! Seemed to very much enjoy the victory and it's good to see the players feel that.

    Highlights....

Maybe I'm biased, but I don't think Porter fouled Neilson for the goal. If you watch the highlights, Porter wins the header quite fairly and Neilson, realising he's beat, throws himself to the ground! Just my opinion mind.
  3. Naw, that was 99\00 and to be fair we threw it away ourselves.
  4. Yep, another good game for him. It's always unfair to judge a player based on coming on for 5/10 minutes at the end a game you're usually chasing. He got a decent ammount of applause when he was substituted tonight.
  5. I think it's also safe to say we would never have won that game if had been played on it's orignal date. A much deserved break.
  6. Brilliant 3 points. We really needed that. Thought we battled hard and it certainly wasn't pretty but delighted all the same.
  7. We badly badly need a win and 3 points to get ourselves up the league a bit and further away from the bottom team. Will we get it though? Will we f....maybe..... I'd probably take a point right now to be honest. Obviously we've played a lot better in the last two games than previous ones, but the damage has been done and our non taking of points and non scoring of goals from earlier supposedy "winnable" games has meant the pressure really is now on to get points from the games coming up.

    Maroš Klimpl

You haven't been at the last two games then. He's now starting to look a really useful addition.
  9. Just back in. The ref was an absolute bottle merchant from the word go. Jim Hamilton must have had about 6 or 7 fouls given against him yet no card. Potter, there's my new hate figure was blatantly shoving off the ball at every free kink/corner that was being taken. There were fouls getting given for nothing all over the place. The penalty claims at the end were decent shouts, but you just knew there were never going to be given. Blatant cheating and it's about time these *banned word* were made to come out and justify decisions like these. Fuck the "emotional occasion". If it's a penalty, it's a penalty. Apart from that I thought we battled hard and limited St Mirren to few chances but the final pass was either wrong, poor, or over cooked with too many touches or fannying about. Just put yer boot through it!!! I said before we played Killie we needed a minimum of 8 points. We got 4. So that's 5 points from 27. We're still in the shite, no two ways about it, especially with Accies winning. Really needed a win today as I can't see us taking anything from Hearts and Utd. The other teams may well pick up points in the next few weeks so we really are still under a great deal of pressure in my opinion. We have played lot better in the last two games though.
  10. Their winning run has to end sometime and I'm astonished they have won four in a row without conceding!!! Fair play for that I suppose. That said, our win last week shouldn't disguise the shite we've served up since the Rangers game. Really have to take at least a point tomorrow and anything less will see us take a shocking 4 points from a possible 27 and put us right back in the shite. Not that we're out it by any means. This game means as much to us as it does to them, albeit for very different reasons. I expect to see the same starting 11 as v ICT and hopefully get right in about them from the start.
  11. St Mirren are pish but have now won 4 on the bounce. Surely this run can't last forever? We should also now have a bit more confidence after our win and have just as much, if not more to play for, than St Mirren. We have to be up for this game every bit as much as them. I know it's their last game at Love Street but it's still only the same 3 points at stake. I fear a St Mirren win. Having said that, I'd put money on Motherwell losing their last ever game at Fir Park!!
  12. Stonewaller when Hughes was taken out. Thought their's was very soft at the time and highlights confirm that. Richmond is a fucking joke.

Thought Clarky was magnificent today and Craigan was solid also. I don't believe McGhees argument of our bad form being down to them being missing 100% though. Yes they made a big difference, but both have played in many of the games we have been keech in aswell. Well done to Porter for a first Motherwell hat-trick since Clarkys v Utd in 2004. I also thought Klimpl looked really good in midfield and special mention to Jim O'Brien whom I thought showed falshes of why he may have been signed. (remember you can't judge guy based on him coming on with 5/10 minutes left at the end of a game we're losing!) Another special mention to an absolute cock of a referee. He really was actrocious. It takes a really special type of incompetent arsehole to get booed by fans of a team that has just won! On the whole, a decent performance and a scoreline that flattered ICT. If we could just cut out the silly mistakes when defending corners that we're making. That's 2 goals lost from near post headers in the last 2 home games. Did Smith shout for that ball today as it looked his all the way. A great 3 points, but the hard work has just begun. To be honest I'll take a point at the Love Street swansong and a point of the Jambos. Still think we'll be doing well to get that.

Anything less than a win today and we're down as there's no way we'll take anything from the last game at Love Street. That's then the "easy" games out the way with a grand haul of fuck all from them.
  15. We still don't know if we have USH, let alone a system that works. No-one will give a simple yes or no.
  16. I try not to read what McGhee says anymore as everything that comes out his mouth riles me. He also would appear to believe that we are idiots and do not remember such gems as "I'll only sign a player if he is better than what we have" and the comedy gold of "if we go on a run in Europe, or league form may suffer as a result". Since no-one in the media or at the club has the bottle to ask him how it is possible for our league form to actually get any worse, he'll never have to justify these remarks. Never in any of these soundbites does he mention how his salary was doubled to stay at Motherwell. He only stayed co it benefitted him. We were better off under Malpas at this stage of the season, and I don't think the football being played was any worse. No-one in the main stream media has the balls to raise that stat either.
  17. I've thought they were good players for a while now.

    Mark McGhee

What he said. This is all very worrying. Difficult not to be with so many contradictions being flung our way. Now we're getting the excuses aswell. Don't know if nyone noticed, we were rank even with Craigan and Clarkson in the team!!!
  19. You're kidding?!? How long will that keep him out?
  20. Don't know if it's been mentioned but I'd take Andy Kirk from Dumfermline and the boy McAllister from Morton.
  21. What the hell has happened to Clarky? How is he injured? He didn't play for 3 games due to suspension so when did he get injured? McGhee, in my mind, cannae moan about not having Clarkson out considering he shat out of appealing his ridiculously harsh red card for whatever reason.

    Accies On Saturday

That for me is definately the most worrying aspect. Our players aren't cut out for anything at the moment and when your immediate rivals only have to turn up to get a win against you, there's only one way you're going. Down. 6 points from the next two games isn't going to happen, but it has to (if you see what I mean!). Anything less and McGhee should have the decency to walk. He'll never get sacked as it'll cost far too much (which is another ridiculous situation). I don't give a fuck about the cup anymore, but a major embarrassment is on the cards there. I can't remember feeling lower following the 'Well. I can't see how we're going to get out out of this one. We are going down, and sadly I think under the current promotion/relegation criteria, for very long time.

Same old, same old. Missing "key" players (failure to recognise that even with these players wwe have been shite). Will have to work on why it isn't clicking etc. We'll be fine, not panicing...... Once again, nicey nicey questions from the interviewer. Why oh, why doesn't someone say, "1 goal in 7 games Mark. Discuss. No goals from open play in a whopping 10 games!!! 1 point from a possible 21. Why have your signings been crap? Why would you appear to have no imagination in your signing targets? Why are you constantly playing players out of position? Why do you persist in playing players that haven't kcked their arse all season? Why did you blow the transfer funds on O'Brien when he hasn't started a single game and Malcolm whos only attribute is dead ball shots when we should've got Lappin in? Why do you bleat on about losing McCormack when you knew since last January he was leaving?"

    Accies On Saturday

Remember McGhee telling us if we went on a run in Europe that it might effect our league form? Remember him telling us we were bubbling under the surface for the Killie game? Remember him tim us he wouldn't sign anyone unless it was better than what we had? It's about time somebody pulled him up on these and many other quotes that have been a lot of shite. He harps on about Clarky being out. Clarky has missed three games due to being sent off for hee haw against Celtic. If he had had the balls to appeal this then he wouldn't have missed the 3 games. But that was against his beloved Celtic so we couldn't have that. His team selections have been baffling at times. His signings have been diabolical. Sutton? Pish. O'Brien? what was the point? Malcolm? What does he bring to the team? Porter and Hughes, great last year but would Brain Kerr or Paul Keegan been any less effective this season? Klimpl looks like a total liability. Butcher was able to bring in McDonald, Foran, Alan McCormack, Paterson, Partridge, McLean. Fuck even McBride was magic intially and Jim Hamilton gave us a shift. What about McGhees contacts? Where are they?McGhee doesn't give a fuck about Motherwell, he never did. Me, me, me all the way. I said before the Killie game that we needed a MINIMUM of 8 points from the next 4 games. 2 down and we have nil. Plus no goals scored. Even winning the next two is really "too little too late" but we are absolutely fucked. I see St Mirren have just taken the lead at Killie. They could pull even further away from the "dogfight". That's right, the mighty St Mirren 4 points ahead of us at Christmas. Bravo McGhee. Bigger things surely beckon for you. WE WERE BETTER UNDER MALPAS!!!! 10 POINTS CLEAR OF BOTTOM SPOT ON BOXING DAY!!!!

Thirded. McGhee must go. 1 goal in 7. 1 point out of 21. Bottom of the league at Christmas. Embarrassing.
