The club shop have sold out of reasonable sized strips and won’t be getting anymore back in. Missed opportunity there I think with the final coming up. Plus I’m kicking myself at not getting the home one!

What a lovely day that was! I can scarcely believe how stress free that was. Beating Aberdeen 3-0 in a Scottish Cup Semi Final and once we went ahead the result was never really in doubt. It almost doesn’t seem real reading that back! Not a single failure on the pitch today and special mention to Grimshaw and Rose who were both excellent after their injury lay offs and have both had the critics, including me, this season. It’s not quite “Louis who?”, but Main is some guy to have in your corner. I thought Aberdeen were rottenand despite an almost embarrassment of riches, on paper, in the forward areas, they were insipid. Absolute big game bottlers! Lovely stuff. Onwards to the final. Can we win it? Of course we can but as we know the dice are completely loaded when playing those two. Can’t be bad for the coffers reaching another final also.

How long does it take for these fixtures to be released?!?! I believe the criteria for deciding the post split fixtures is 1) Are Rangers and Celtic happy? 2) Fuck everyone else. 3) See point 1. Its an absolutely ridiculous set of affairs where 2 clubs are appeased and pandered to continually.

Apparently we’ve only sold 5,700 tickets for Saturday. I find that disappointing and a bit of a head scratcher to be honest.

I hadn’t been impressed with him really, but it was pointed out to me that our goals dried up when Ciftci got injured. Coincidence?

File that game under “meh”. We’re going to have to work out how to score a goal if we’re to win the semi next week. No goals scored in 4 of the last 5 games!

We good to score a goal and win a game. Or at least not lose.

Some causes for concern regarding our goal scoring and win ratios but none of that is news to anyone. Regardless of what’s at stake or whether we’re safe, it would be good to get at least a couple of wins in the last 6 games. I’m certain targets will have been identified for the summer about strengthening the team. I’ve ran the numbers and I can’t find a scenario, even if we lose every remaining game, where we finish lower than 10th. Perhaps someone could confirm? There’s a good thread over on P&B discussing all this.

Absolutely brilliant and about time too.

Mains play and assist and Campbell’s finish were a joy to watch. Up there with the other “goals of the season” Rangers penalty was laughable. I’m surprised I’m not more annoyed about it, but this season, as if there was ever really any doubt, has just underlined how much the dice are loaded when playing the ugly sisters.
