We had an excellent opportunity to not have to worry about relegation this season for the first time in 4 seasons but 1 win in the last 11 games and 1 point from the last 7 games put paid to that. We might yet not be relegated this season but were in a dogfight for sure.

Where did I reset my expectations? My expectations and/or hopes remain the same as the start of the season. If the league finishes with us in the same position and with us reaching a cup final, nearly every one of us would take it. However 1 win in 11 and 1 point from the past 7 games obviously is going to be called out for what it is.

Do I? Thats interesting. My response to Steelboys post was a mere observation, almost devils advocate, to the nature of all signings, particularly in the January window. Dont know where the rest of that irrelevant to Ciftci rant came from though!

He is indeed. But that was going to be the case whoever he brought in.

An undoubtedly talented player and capable of real moments of quality when he was in the mood a few years ago but I have my reservations.

Its a total downer if Murphy goes to Rangers. Always thought he had his head screwed on and seemed a very likable person so to see him go to that vile circus is very very disappointing. If he gets a Scotland call up now after being igonored for years then its just laughable. But.....the mire were in just now so its down my list of footballing priorities.
