  1. One thing is certain. The old firm wont be drawn together and Rangers will also be at home and it wont be to a top 6 premier team.
  2. As others have said, 2nd goal is an outstanding counter attacking goal! Is there some sort of contractual agreement with all media outlets that when they mention Louis Moult it has to be followed by hell leave Motherwell soon/wont be at Motherwell long? I cant remember such a glamour of desperation for a good player to leave a club so much before!
  3. Absolutely magnificent and thoroughly deserved too apparently. Great to go into the final on the back of such a great win at a difficult venue! Detest Aberdeen and their fans so always love results like todays.
  4. Sorry, I meant rested, not tested! Campbell didnt play v Ross County either.
  5. I wonder if Campbell is being tested, or at least protected a bit from potential burn out? He surely cant have been dropped?!?! Decent team however.
  6. Agree with that. Next week will take care of itself. We also dont want to lose 3 league games on the bounce, obviously, and with Celtic in the league twice as our next 2 games 3 could easily become 5 so we ideally need to get something today although I appreciate its a big ask. If we get even a point today then the manager will have been vindicated but I think we should start with the 11 that got us to 3rd and a cup final.
  7. Flow has been getting vile abuse on twitter from some absolute roaster over tickets. Embarrassing.

The above 2 are great as are the men who made Motherwell and the pictorial history of Motherwell fc. The Well again one is the most comprehensive I think.
  9. Im not sure what our starting 11 and game plan should be. I can see flaws and merit in every permutation. The unfortunate reality is that I even if we get it absolutely spot on, Celtic will still probably be too good for us. Watching Motherwell in a cup final is not to be sniffed at though and Im really looking forward to the build up and the time before the game starting.
  10. The 25 best post war players should probably contain very few from the modern era and be made up largely of guys Ive heard of but never seen play but its just a bit of fun and the podcasts and booklets are superb and for a great cause. Im not even sure Johnny Gahagan should be in a top 200 post war players list!
  11. David Cooper James McFadden Willie Pettigrew Andy Paton Charlie Aitken Ian St John Joe Wark Keith McCrae Bobby Graham Ally Maxwell Luc Nijholt Brian Martin Dougie Arnott Paul Lambert Michael Higdon Louis Moult Stephen Craigan Keith Lasley Stevie Hammell Stevie Kirk Tommy Coyne Ran McKinnon Phil ODonnell Johnny Gahagan Martyn Corrigan
  12. What do people think of the 25 that were chosen? A fair selection of the best postwar players? I personally chose Randolph and think that perhaps McDonald was unlucky to miss out from the modern era. Perhaps more players from the 50s 60s and 70s deserved to be included but that wouldve required more fans of a certain age to have voted.
  13. Massive thank you and well done to the guys fir putting together such a great event last night. The panels were both great in different ways and was hugely entertaining. I could listen to Craigan talk about Motherwell and football in general all night. He pulls no punches but is very balanced. Was great to hear the players remember the games in the same detail we do.
  14. Dont know what it will be like but theres a Motherwell fans only event nearby on the day. https://www.facebook.com/events/1980533675518785??ti=ia
  15. In hindsight, dropping/resting/not playing Campbell and Bowman was a massive mistake, as was playing Tanner as a striker rather than a number 10 behind 2 strikers like he was v Dundee. Someone made an excellent point on P&B (Al B?) that whilst its great Robinson is very reactive/proactive about rectifying mistakes and changing it if it isnt working, hes having to do that every other game. It would be preferable (obviously) if the 11 on the pitch worked from the start.
  16. Defending for the goals was appalling! Kipre at the second and third in particular? Bloody hell! Quite surprised at Hartley getting beat in the air like that twice aswell.
  17. No Idea what the fuck we were playing in the first half. Robbo got seriously outcoached by Coyle today! We had Cadden playing so narrow and our tactics were shelling EVERY ball we got 60 yards upfield to Tanner. Coyle pushed Keilor-Dunn up against Kipre knowing Cadds was nowhere so big Cedric was toiling against 2 a lot of the time. Our defending in the first half was less than amateurish, I have no idea why Bigi and Tanner were on the pitch? Bigi watched us shelling long balls over his head, or had to cover Rose and was like a headless chicken. And Tanner v Davis on long balls was laughable. We play like we are just now in the final and honestly Celtic will be close to double figures. Btw, what the fuck is the young lads new song? Sounds like Katy Perry or something. That was about as brutal as our performance today
  18. Really poor and disappointing result and unfortunately our best chance, on paper at least, of getting points for the next 5 games! Could well still be sitting on the same points after Tynecastle as we are now! That would then be 7 defeats in a row!!! You cant give a team a 3 goal start and then take anything from the game. Of course weve been fantastic so far this season and the league table still looks more than acceptable but that first half today is criminal and thats whats ultimately cost us.
  19. I didnt expect to win today, but didnt expect this! Like a throw back to the past 3 seasons!!!
  20. Jesus Christ! I know its been a great season so far, but really?!?!?
  21. Thats all fair enough actually. Early days, but lose today and we could lose 5/6 on the bounce! (albeit 3 v Celtic) Although Im sure I said that at the start of the season!.....
