  1. Are we talking about the best goal technically? Or the maddest youve went at a goal? Both goals yesterday were the opposite end or the technical ability spectrum. The first was bedlam but with the second there was an element of stunned disbelief at what Id just witnessed! A non Well fan I know and total football purest has described it as the best goal scored at Hampden since Zidanes! Hefty praise.
  2. Ive seen much dirtier games, Im not sure what all the fuss is about to be honest. Were only seeing this level of scrutiny because the h**s lost! Isnt Alves the player that took Harry Kane out at neck height once? Someone, I think a poster from on here, came up to me after the game and said surely you cant be negative about that Milo? Or words to that effect. Absolutely not! Im still absolutely buzzing! Probably back to down to earth on Wednesday night right enough!!
  3. Weve utterly broken them and theyre just lashing out to be dicks.
  4. What a day, what a goal, what a team, what a club. No matter what happens in the final, we can dine out on this result FOREVER! A extra special GIRFUY to all the h**s with an ML postcode.
  5. Indeed. Total shambles. You wouldve thought if they hadnt sold them by a certain point they wouldve been offered to Celtic?
  6. Hibs probably thought they were going to get horsed and therefore it put many off. Aberdeen have only recently started taken big semi final crowds. The Old Firm only care about the cups when they play each other. And even then once their opportunity to gloat has subsided do they rarely reminisce about the cup win of 1987, 2002 etc. I think tomorrow will be our 10th semi final in the past 41 years in both cups? 1976 v Rangers, lost 3-2. 1985 v Celtic 1-1 and then lost the replay 3-0 1986 v Celtic 2-2 aet then lost on penalties 1987 v Rangers, lost 3-1 1991 v Celtic. 0-0 then won the replay 4-2. 2003 v Rangers, lost 4-3. 2005 v Hearts, won 3-2 aet. 2006 v Celtic, lost 2-1 2011 v Rangers, lost 2-1 2011 v St Johnstone, won 3-0 2017 v Rangers, ????????? Have I missed any?
  7. A friend of the family was born in January 1976 and we progressed through that round of the cup. Another friend was born in February and we got through. I was born in the March and then that semi final took place..... The discussion of this game comes up regularly at family gatherings and for those whose witnessed it, its clearky left its mark. Hell, even watching that footage is enough to make you spew! As others have said, they got their comuppance when they died in 2012.
  8. True. I had the absolute fear in the play offs that would the ref would ensure Rangers would come up. There was probably even more desire for them to come back up then than there is to ensure yet another random Old Firm final. Nobody couldve predicted those games wouldve been so one sided however. Imagine if they had been close going into the closing minutes?!?!?
  9. If it comes to a physical battle you can absolutely guarantee the ref will punish us more than them. Old Rangers got away with murder and so do the new lot.
  10. I think thats all fair enough. Anyone think were missing McManus, McDonald or Ainsworth?
  11. Difficult to criticise Robinson for what hes done so far but playing Dunne before Hammell is a head scratcher.
  12. Another fantastic win! Its just ridiculous now!
  13. Early days, but after all the good news this week it would be typical.
  14. And 2 of their goals scored by a guy who shouldve been serving a suspension!
  15. I would agree with that. Im really looking forward to the semi final and sure well give it our best but whilst Rangers off the pitch are an absolute basket case, they will be comfortably no lower than 3rd this season and can/will still dispose of most teams. Then theres the ref. The media, sponsors etc will crave yet another Old Firn encounter and as they somehow inexplicably managed to avoid each other in the draw so far we have that to contend with also.
  16. Not watching the game but quite an impressive score/result for Rangers.
  17. Always wary when teams have, or claim to have, loads of injuries. I fear a sting in the tail here!
  18. It would indeed. Although I'm sure Hibs would've said the same when they lost the final to Livingston after putting Rangers and Celtic in the previous rounds!
  19. We played really well that day. Absolute scenes at Lasley's equaliser!
  20. For me, one of the worst aspects that contributed to the terrible atmosphere at the 2011 cup final, apart from us being absolutely rotten on the pitch, was the level of drunkenness amongst our support. I get that folk like a few pints before a game and this being the biggest occasion imaginable for Motherwell obviously contributed to many going well over the score. There were folk slumped sleeping in their seats and others barely able to walk. There was also a fair bit of agro and more than a little out of order drunken aggression over minimal issues such as seating. Maybe these are the "daytrippers" folk mean?
  21. Out of all the free midweeks to choose from and the league choose to reschedule it for the Wednesday before we play them on the Saturday?!?!?! Words fail me.
