We now have an 8 point gap over 3 teams which although it's still very early days we have given ourselves some wriggle room with 2 tough league games up next. I think Thistle will pick up points soon (hopefully not September 30th) would be preferable if Dundee and/or Killie could become completely detached asap!

I think if he can stay fit Hammell still has a lot to offer.

The comment about Tait met well be intended as an "in joke" with a player he knows and/or is friends with. There certainly appears to to be at least a couple of digs at Robinson and/or the club for his perceived treatment though. What can we do though? Thomas appears to feel hard done by in every interview he's given since leaving Motherwell. He was on our books for several years and bar the odd twist and turn, never done anything for us. In fairness he never got a run in the team and wasn't going to be a regular starter this season (bar the core/spine, who is?) so it was probably best he moved on. If he can't be the bigger man about the nature of some decisions it's not for us to own.

Over confidence gives me the fear as well but I don't think anyone is guilty of that so far. I naturally fear a sting in the tail. Naturally.

Not sure I believe in "the curse of the former player" but it will be interesting to see what Thomas and Erwin do. Wouldn't surprise me if there is a goal/assist in there! Heneghan had came onto a bit of a game but I don't think he's irreplaceable by any means. Sounds like if the deal goes through we have other players coming in. Provided we keep Cadden and Moult bring and a Heneghan replacement in, along with Marv's sell on fee, Heneghan's fee, I think we'll have had a good day to put it mildly!

I thought Rose was excellent at Perth but I would still probably start Campbell ahead of him at the moment.

I was quite critical of Heneghan last season but he has been fantastic so far this season. Would be a shame if he now left, unless it was for silly money.

The linesman couldn't see the ball was over the line but could spot an infringement for the disallowed goal? Aye, very good.

As much as most folk, including myself, would've liked to have seen Campbell start, I'm sure we all had an incline, rightly or wrongly, he wouldn't. For the record, I thought Rose was more than decent at Perth. Apart from Ross County away, has anyone thought McHugh's had a good game this season? Moult also? I think Bowman is better from the bench but I/we need to give Robinson the benefit of the doubt. He's never been afraid to change it early if it isn't working and there are at least decent options on the bench to do that.
