  1. Eh? What points are to be scored? I was merely trying to point out Killie (and Dundee) proved despite being not really being any better/worse than us that it is possible to give the top 4/5 teams a game. Dundee now have 9 points v the top 5 teams (we have 1) so losing to the top teams shouldn't necessarily be the foregone conclusion we appear to believe it is. Most of us are relieved yesterday wasn't a cricket score but despite Celtic horsing Inverness and Killie at Parkhead had also only beat Accies, Thistle and us by the 1 or 2 goals in previous games so perhaps a convincing if not emphatic he win wasn't entirely unexpected.
  2. Forgot to mention, Ojamaa to score, and probably play very well.
  3. I'm relieved Aberdeen turned it around. My point still stands though. Surely that much is obvious?
  4. A Killie team managed by Lee McCulloch 1-0 up at ht v Aberdeen. Puts our horror show into even more perspective.
  5. By hook or by crook we absolutely have to win this game. Doesn't bear thinking about if we don't. Expect that McHugh will come back in as will Hammell and McManus even if only half fit.
  6. After watching the highlights, was that a penalty? I'm not so sure. Would it have been given down the other end? No real claims for it either.
  7. McManus plays and we ship 7. He doesn't play and we only concede 2. I know it's not as simple as that but Heneghan Jules should be our central pairing for a bit.
  8. When he's released in the summer Chalmers will go the way of Kerr, Carswell, Angol etc
  9. But seriously, a midfield pairing of Lasley and Clay?!?!?! Neither can pass, create, run, retain possession, yet given our options, and even with McHugh out there still are several, this is what McGhee goes with?!??
  10. Minus the enforced absence of Tait, it's good to see the same defenders that shipped 7 goals retain their places. That'll teach them to be so lacklustre. We've also added some pace in Clay to compliment Lasley in the middle. As I said earlier, minus Pearson, the January window seen us merely strengthen the bench. Which was obviously an area that needed strengthening.....
  11. We really need this guy to be good. And now! Otherwise the January window has seen us, Pearo aside, merely strengthen our bench, whilst our peers have, on paper anyway, brought in players who can contribute straight away. Time will tell but wasn't McGhee meant to be struggling on to get to January, rest up the niggling injuries, reinforce and then apparently we see the real Motherwell? In fairness, we have 3 points more than I thought we would have post break so far.....

    Mcghee Out?

I agree with that aswell. He won't be sacked and he won't resign. The same players, give or take, will start every week and the only other question is are we going straight down or via the play offs?
  13. Could be as many as Celtic want it to be. I really fear a record spfl defeat is on the cards here. With the exception of McDonald coming in I fully expect McGhee to name practically the same team to allow them to atone for last night/'make the same mistakes again. I'd play Griffiths Tait (pish, but who else is there at right back?) Heneghan Jules Ferguson Lucas Campbell Pearo Ainsworth McDonald Moult Ridiculous line up? We're getting horsed either way and losing 6,7,8+ 0 anyway so might as well drop the continual series offenders. Same team for v Dundee but with McHugh in for Lucas.
  14. You're right it was never a penalty! Terrible decision.

    Mcghee Out?

Has he been sacked yet? Was hoping I'd wake up to some good news.
  16. Goes without saying, but or goal difference is now absolutely horrific. With the league being so tight that could prove crucial.
  17. It's not just McGhee though. You can trace the beginning of a lot of our problems back to the signing of McManus!
  18. Joking aside, on top of how abject the season has been so far anyway, no manager should be able to survive a result and performance like that tonight. Players should be ashamed of themselves as well. Not the first time some of these guys have capitulated like this, but it's just farcical. An absolute embarrassment, Assuming Celtic do similar on Saturday, what will the attendance be v Dundee? If McGhee doesn't do the honourable thing then then the board have to make the decision for him. Failure to do so is weak weak leadership.

    Mcghee Out?

Worst Motherwell team in my lifetime? Toss up between this season, Malpas and play off one.
  21. Indeed. What have we been working on since the last game?!?!
  22. Decided not to go in the end, dread to think how I'd feel if I had endured the first 45.

    Mcghee Out?

If he had any decency he would resign after the game. The players at our disposal aren't *that* bad are they?
