  1. This team is as soft as shite. Nothing about them whatsoever.
  2. Fair enough assessments Tweed, but the O'Halloran, McDonald and Kiernan incidents can't be taken in isolation as they all happened in the same game and 2 of those players play for Rangers whom we know are referred by different rules. For me, the biggest issues are, would McDonald have got a straight red if O'Halloran had not one earlier? Possibly not, the ref evened it up at the first opportunity. And, bearing in mind Rangers had already been reduced to 10 men, there is absolutely no chance, regardless of how bad the tackle was, were they getting another one! Nevermind after 20 minutes AND with score still 0-0!
  3. I'll add to that, and only useful when the ball is played in front of him and he's running into space.
  4. Indeed. Or better still, why was Kiernans only a yellow yet McDonalds not long after a red? I think we know the answer to that.....
  5. I would need to see it from different angles and closer up but the first tackle in that video looks very similar to McHugh's. Not chance an Old Firm player is getting a straight red for a tackle like McHugh's, or McDonald's. When a non Old Firm player gets a straight red card I ask myself "would Scott Brown get a straight red for that?" and there's your answer! No chance he would've got a straight red for either McHugh's or McDonalds's and probably wouldn't even have had the foul given against him for McHugh's. The fall out from Scott Brown getting a straight red for McHughs tackle, with the game at 0-0, and Celtic then going on to lose the game, would be felt for weeks! O'Halloran only got a straight red because it was simply so bad (and high) the ref had no option. A Rangers player could've came at someone with an axe in that game after O'Halloran was sent off and still remained on the pitch, hence why Kiernan wasn't sent off.
  6. In a moment of madness I think I'm going to go to this! A midfield or Pearo, Lucas, Lasley and Cadden isn't too shabby though is it? McDonald is a massive loss though and strong midfield or not, I can't see this being anything other than a home win. Hopefully we won't get anyone sent off for a change.
  7. In hindsight do folk think it might just have been better to start the same 11 as v Ross County only replacing McDonald with Bowman?
  8. That's never a red card in a million years, it's not even a foul! Wins the ball clean as a whistle! No wonder McGhee was raging! That's a total joke!
  9. Still haven't seen McHugh's red card challenge yet but for the 1st goal, what an absolutely half arsed attempt that was to close down the shot by any player in the vicinity before Lasley obviously thought "s'ppose" and went remotely near the scorer. Pathetic. 2nd one was a good counter attack I suppose but nobody was staying with the runners. Basic stuff. 3rd goal was a catalogue of errors, first with the new boy making an arse of it in the corner and gifting possession, before nobody marking the scorer then Samson getting beat with a trundler along the deck straight down the middle of the goal. Same players, same mistakes, no lessons learned. 22 games later......

    Mcghee Out?

We might aswell go for it against the better teams as so far this season the "keeping it tight" approach has yielded 1 point (away to St Johnstone). That is by far and away the lowest total of any of the bottom teams against the top 5.
  11. Apparently Hearts last away win was v......us! Not sure of the point I'm making. EDIT. I suppose the point I'm making is Hearts have dropped points all over the place to every single team in the league, including EVERY bottom half team but are now 9 points to the good and 9-1 up on aggregate v us this season! Yes we can moan about the red card but in 3 games v them we should've taken at least a point considering all our peers have.
  12. Collapsed a wee bit at the end? Score a bit of an unfair reflection? I'll wait on match reports from those who were there but it's surely not unheard of for 10 men to hold out for a draw in these circumstances. Not us I suppose.
  13. Actually, now I look at it.... A back 3 of McManus, Heneghan and Jules. Hammell and Tait as wingbacks. Lasley, McHugh and Cadden as yer midfield Ainsworth playing off Moult. Could live with that. If that's not how we line up then in my opinion we have better options.
  14. I like Pearo and I'm glad he's back as he offers something our current midfielders don't have and on his day is a fantastic player and also knows where the goal is. Whether it's as cynical or premeditated that he "only plays when he wants to" I don't know but there's definitely some truth in the accusation that he goes missing in some games but then which of our players doesn't? For the record, Lasley definitely still has plenty to offer, but like Hammell not for 90 minutes 2/3 games in 7 days.
  15. In an "airplane" style way, Hearts have picked a helluva time to hit a bit of form..... Baws!
  16. I'm not that bothered about not getting Ciftci as whilst when he was in the mood he was undoubtably a very good player, he was clearly an absolute wanker and I remain unconvinced he would've bust a gut for the cause.
  17. Have Hearts results/performances not been great recently? Or did I imagine that? I'd like to think we can take something from this. If he's signed and fit(ish), I'd start Pearo in a midfield that looked like this.... Pearo Lucas McHugh Cadden
