  1. Massive win. Absolutely massive. Worn out the F5 key. Again!
  2. I wouldn't be opposed to that line up either. Be very very surprised if Ainsworth starts though.
  3. Quite like the look of that team actually. No chance we'll play that though! Chalmers (if fit) and Clay will start.
  4. I'm not sure we did have better players in the play off games. We most certainly had better players when we capitulated at Ibrox in the League Cup in 2012 but it didn't seem to help.
  5. Just shows us how unlikely and unexpected the play off wins were. Barraclough may have contributed to us ending up there but he was absolutely instrumental in getting us out!

    Mcghee Out?

I agree with the poster that "we should be careful what we wish for" and St Mirren's plight should be the warning to us all. I also agree with the poster who said we are reaching Barraclough levels of "throw enough shite and hope that it sticks" though as we have players picking up a wage and continuing nothing. Blyth, Bowman, Kennedy and Laing being the main ones. Whilst you can't get every signing right we surely can't be getting so many wrong? Is the reality somewhere in the middle? I think McGhee is here till the end of the season regardless of form and the worry there is if we do somehow manage to stay up is it will be by the skin of our teeth as 21 games into the season there is no progression in terms of eradicating mistakes being made both by the manager and players. And that includes addressing why the players look knackered after 60/70 minutes and are losing so many late goals. Would I be right in saying we haven't won back to back games all season? Maybe there will be a decision to make if we lose to County, Aberdeen, Hearts and Celtic to make it 5 defeats in a row after today. Failure to beat Dundee in the following game might see either a resignation or a dismissal. A run like that will almost certainly see us bottom. Everyone connected to Motherwell needs the January signings to hit the ground running.
  7. Was surprised to see them lose to Killie today so maybe there's hope after all? Will be too big an ask without McDonald though. Coupled no doubt with the almost certain inclusion of Clay and Chalmers. Home win.
  8. As soon as Halloran was sent off I said to my pal that the ref would even it up at the first opportunity and it proved to be so. If Skippys was a red then so was Tierneys but we can't sent 2 Rangers players off in the same game eh?.... As someone above said Chalmers is a deputy left back and nothing else. Clay should've dropped from the team months ago. Nothing good will be achieved with these 2 featuring. These guys, if fit, seem to be nailed on starters!! McMillan for Chalmers was the wrong sub. Should've brought on Frear or Ainsworth. Lasley should've been on for Clay at half time, or better still, started in his place. 2nd half was just a matter of time before Rangers scored and they probably should've scored before they did with Tait getting ripped as he usually does when up against any pace. We competed well enough in the middle but there's no pace or guile that can create. Set piece delivery was shocking as well. We could still be playing and not look like scoring. Is that McDonald suspended for 1 or 2 games? Either way, his impending suspension is the worst thing about today's game. McGhees post match interview was baffling and delusional. We have Ross County, Hearts, Aberdeen and Celtic in the next 4 games. Where are the points coming from? If we take a single point from that run we'll be doing well. If we do stay up it'll be by the skin of our teeth and in not convinced we will as we're making the same mistakes (manager and players) as we have been all season and don't appear to be learning.
  9. I'm looking forward to getting back to the fitba but I can't see past a scudding here.
  10. Absolutely. I would've taken Jim O'Brien back also, but I suspect his wages might have been a stumbling back.
  11. I don't think we'll bring anyone in. We'll need to go with what we've got. Need to wait and see I suppose.
  12. Some amount of ex Motherwell players playing in Scotland these days.
  13. Some great points there too. Why does McGhee never change things when players are clearly knackered and shite? Why does Clay start and play 90 minutes every week? If he can throw youngsters in from the start at Parkhead why not for 10 minutes at Ibrox?
  14. Agree with this. Why risk Cadden? What is his injury, and it must be pretty serious if 3/4 weeks isn't enough to heal it. Play Ainsworth in his place! He's no use to us half fit so why hamper his recovery? Is the young lad McLean still out with a broken toe? For me I'd be giving Campbell a run in the team ahead of Clay. I've also heard that McDonald HAD trained all week. Maybe that's true, maybe it's not. What we do know is we're a much poorer team without him in it.
  15. Indeed. Loads to play for. Infact, given the choice I would much rather we won next week rather than today. Still an utter boot in the baws though.
  16. Do you think McManus will slaughtered by McGhee they way Ainsworth was after Thistle that time?
  17. So predictable. 1-0 up with 5 minutes to go and we can't even get the draw? Haven't seen McManus mistake yet but doesn't surprise me coming from him.
  18. I'm at work so can't watch this but the starting 11 doesn't offer much hope and these half time reports don't make good reading. You could also argue though that we've held them to 0-0 at half time but in the second half we really have to get stuck in. Normally I'd be of the opinion that if a player is only half fit like McDonald is then you start him and bring him of after 45-60 minutes but maybe his introduction later is part of the game plan?
  19. Don't like that team one bit. Not playing McDonald from the start is a mistake. Where's Lucas?!?! Injured again?
  20. What's the chat about McDonald, Moult or Cadden not playing?
  21. That's a bit of a shame. Once he found his feet I thought he was a great player for us.
  22. It was a very interesting listen. I think we have a good guy in our corner in Mr Burrows. This "project brave" is so laughably bad only the SFA could come up with it. Beyond belief but hugely concerning.
