  1. Do you think if Pearo was coming back he'd be here by now?
  2. Not really a surprise. The tail wags the dug in this country and no attempt is made anymore to even hide the bias.
  3. Very disappointing if true. I was a massive fan of Reynolds and it was initially a very bitter pill to see him play for Aberdeen. He was disgracefully and embarrassingly briefly booed by a section of our support for whatever reason when he returned with Aberdeen so maybe that has something to do with it?
  4. Indeed. Probably still technically counts as an assist though!
  5. Watching Hibs v Utd. Humphrey has fair bulked up since he left Motherwell. Set up both goals also! I don't think we "missed a trick" as such, he undoubtedly would've been a massive asset for us but I doubt we could've afforded him these days.
  6. Is Moult worth more than 500k? Probably not. Are bang average players going for silly money in England these days? Absolutely. That's the only reason I think we should demand more. We also have to weigh up what relegation would cost us as Moults goals could be the difference. I still can't believe Utd got £2.8 million for Goodwillie! Based on what? A decent 6 months?!?!?
  7. There you go then. In fact, stick a "2" in front of it!
  8. With the money that's awash in England, and especially the Premiership, they should be sticking a "1" in front of that bid.
  9. A bit sad to see Humphrey sign for another Scottish club! I mean, I'll get over it, but he grew into a fantastic player for us. A bit surprised to see him go to the Scottish first division when he surely could've went to another Chsmpionship or League 1 team in England.
  10. You beauty! Would've taken that after Lucas was sent off.
  11. 1 step forward, 2 steps back. No denying that Lucas red card has cost us big time but 10 men can still get a point in games. In fact it's often notoriously difficult to play against 10 men! Bear in mind Accies had won 2 in 19 prior to today!
  12. There's no excuse to ever go in 2 footed. It's completely unforgivable and totally reckless and dangerous way to tackle. If he has done that then he's cost us the game.
  13. I'm never going to not want Samson dropped but that appears to never be on the cards. Barring injuries I'd play the same team as v Inverness but I think Cadden and Hammell will miss out. I just read Dougie Imrie is suspended for tomorrow. That a bonus, naw? Really shouldn't be losing to a team that has won 2 in 19 but football doesn't work like that and this is Motherwell after all. Not confident though!
  14. Thank fuck. Massive 3 points. So relieved. My whole physical demeanour has just instantly changed. Not out the woods yet though.
  15. That's an excellent post and illustrates the sad and harsh reality of our situation quite succinctly.
  16. 4 points from the next 2 games is an absolute must. Failure to get that will almost certainly see us bringing in 2017 bottom of the league and surely even the happiest of clappys questioning McGhees position.
  17. Same players making the same mistakes 18 games in. No progression and seemingly no desire to eradicate said mistakes as they're still being made. We have an unbalanced squad of players who are not good enough and/or not up for the fight. What could possibly go wrong? Another thing that makes me believe this is finally the year we fall through the trap door is our inability to pick up "unexpected" points. Thistle won 3-1 away from home last night. They have also won at McDiarmid Park and drew at Tynecastle. Dundee beat Hearts. From being 2-0 down too! Accies have beat Aberdeen, drawn with Hearts and drew at Ibrox! Killie have beat Hearts, Inverness have drew with Hearts and drew with Celtic etc etc We can only dream of such results and have achieved nothing comparible (out only unexpected point(s) was our draw at McDiarmid) meaning we're only picking up points where we really are, maybe not expected, but certainly on paper realistically hopeful, and even then it's 0-0's at home to Dundee and Killie. Even then folk are saying "last season we would've lost that" My point is, are we just writing off games, especially away games, against not just the Old Firm which is fair enough, but even Hearts, Aberdeen and St Johnstone, as our peers have proven and continue to prove, there are points to be gained there. Are we realistically only ever going to take points, or a point, against our peers? Because that won't end well. Not so long ago we were top of "the pack", a bit of a false equvilance as it was only on goal difference and still only 3 points from 12th, but nonetheless we had 5/6 teams separating us from bottom. 1 win 7 later and the odd point here and there has seen a slow but steady descent to the bottom of "the pack" We undoubtedly need some new players in January but do we even have the money and do we trust McGhee to identify them? One last point. The look on McManus's face when he realised it was him being substituted in the 89th minute. I'm not a McGhee fan but it was clearly a final throw of the dice to put a forward on and go for broke. We were unlikely to make it 2-2 but we were trying and 2-1 might aswell be 3-1. Can McManus not understand that? His arrogance is astounding. Sums him up.
  18. 6 points would be great but unlikely. How many do you think we'll get though? I think we'll do well to get 1. There's been no progression since the opening game v Killie. Lose the next 2 games and McGhee should go.
  19. This. Absolutely this. 4 wins in 18 is absolute horseshit whatever way you splice it. We're in massive massive trouble. Would've been interesting to see what would've happened if Samson could catch a ball and/or Moult has scored his penalty. Big big mistakes at crucial times that have really cost us.
  20. 2nd half has been very very poor from us so far. Partick winning up in Dingeall isn't good for is either.
  21. We need a goalie who can catch the ball. Not the first time he's spilled a shot this season cost us s goal and cost us points.
  22. Poor penalty from moult and a poor second attempt from the rebound. Clutching at straws perhaps but Aberdeens players were in the box at our penalty. We've been punished by that in the past. I think we've done ok so far but if we get nothing out of this it'll be our own fault. Shocking goalkeeping and a piss poor penalty. Architects of our own downfall. If Samson isn't dropped after tonight the baw is burst.
