  1. Contact was minimal but you you can see why the ref gave it. It was completely avoidable if Samson hadn't done his party piece.
  2. Get Samson to absolute fuck! Another spilled shot and another preventable goal conceded!
  3. I had been calling for Lucas to start, but at the expense of either Lasley or Clay. If it's a 442 I'd have started Ainsworth, in the absence of McLean on the left. Someone was saying Cadden was playing very far forward at St Johnstone. Surely her be better collecting the ball in the middle and driving forward? Need to wait and see....,

    Trainbus

That's awful news. What a shame.
  5. All I want for Christmas is some sort of result against the sheep! Apart from their mauling of Killie their form since the cup final defeat has fell off a cliff. Can we take advantage of this unexpected dip? Depends what team we put out. Along with a Lasley and Clay centre mid pairing my other pet hate is McDonald being played anywhere other than up top and through the middle. I'd like to see Lucas start as well as he's now got more minutes under his belt the past few games. I think we'l still lose but you never know. Did someone mention the weather was going to be bad?
  6. Don't get me wrong, I would've taken a point, by hook or by crook, beforehand and when you see the highlights I think that's a pretty strong claim for a penalty for hand ball. I also thought Moult was onside for his missed chance. It's also our first point against the teams in the top 5. Hopefully we can add to that on Friday....
  7. That's a scathing match report and I've no reason to doubt you. You've got wonder at what point McGhee will realise, among other things, that sticking McDonald out wide doesn't work and totally nullifies his ability to best to his strengths. It is absolute insanity! McDonald isn't our best player. He should be played in his strongest position and the team built round him. We're 17 games into the league season and we're still see no cohesive progress. We look no better than we did on game one. Can't help but think the fact that there are 6 others teams just as bad as us is taking a lot of heat off McGhee. 4 wins in 17 is atrocious no matter what way you splice it.
  8. Not a terrible result on the face of it but could've done with Ross County not winning and Thistle getting a point at Tynecastle so we're not really any better off!
  9. In order to give ourselves a chance of getting anything from this game, for me we can't play Clay AND Lasley in the same team.
  10. Probably the best outcome we could've hoped for! Sair yin for those who travelled.
  11. That's almost certainly what's going to be deployed. It doesn't work and it, among other things, takes 2 of our best players out of the positions they are most effective in.
  12. Glad Cadden is back. Lasley and Clay together doesn't work though. Concerned McGhee doesn't see this.
  13. Can't see past anything other than a convincing home win.
  14. There's not much more I can add that hasn't been covered already. There are no guaranteed wins in this league but this was possibly our best chance to get 3 points for the rest of the year and we didn't manage it. 3 almost certain defeats in the next 3 games so as I think someone else said earlier, we're under real pressure to get points from the Inverness and Accies games. What do folk think our points tally will be for the next 5 games before the break? I think we'll get between 0 and 3. Can't see us getting anymore!
  15. I fully expect Cadden to leave like all our good players but if we don't need to sell it would be madness to let him go in January with our league position so precarious. I'd be more than happy for Pearson to return and sadly it does look like Ainsworths days are numbered. It's a pity as on his day he is a match winner but his form is extremely inconsistent. Would rather he didn't go to another Scottish club though.

    Belic

That's actually quite reassuring to hear that Belic isn't a) costing us anything and b) has only not featured because he's simply not shown enough. I'm fine with all that having previously questioned his validity.
  17. Must win for me. Given up on Lucas ever featuring again. If like to think that we'll take confidence and inspiration from how we played at the weekend and come flying out the traps. But I fear it'll be a poor insipid performance with the usual mistakes and weaknesses being exposed and will result in an away win.
  18. You'd be right not holding your breath because McMillan has done nothing to deserve being dropped and yet has been. I really want to believe that the only reason Lasley and Clay being ever presents is because McHugh and Lucas have been injured.
  19. After initially being scunnered about being sent there in the cup, it's nothing compared to going there in the play offs so I'm now fairly "meh" about it. Yeah, we'll lose, but we lose most weeks.
  20. Someone else said that they "feel dirty" criticising Lasley and Hammell and I agree but they're costing us goals, and therefore points, left right and centre. If we stick with them this season there's only one place we're heading.
  21. I was working today and was so busy I wasn't even able to follow the game. Who was culpable for the goals then?
