He should’ve done better with the header no doubt about it. It needed to be cushioned in or at least directed better. Lamie at fault for the opener.

After today Utd and St Mirren look to be safe. Could’ve done with St Johnstone not winning. Need to hope we win at least one of our games in hand lest it is a party of four at the bottom and everyone else well out of it.

We have more than enough options for those guys to never play for us again yet Alexander inexplicably isn’t taking them. It’s a huge black mark against his name even at this early stage.

We’ve strengthened the bench and treatment table. At least that’s what it looks like.

You have the hope we might be able to do something like St Mirren did but no doubt it’ll be a routine home win with Turnbull on the scoresheet. The Killie game is probably more important but not to the extent that we don’t bother here, which I’m sure won’t be the case. Hopefully with some training and squad integration with the new defenders we won’t have to see Lamie feature again.

Good to see Faddy calling out Pawlett in particulars diving last night in Utds “throw yourself to the ground in quick succession” game. Lamie might’ve been much improved at tines but he struggles to even clear his lines at times and is still all over the place. If Gallagher is going to be out for even one more game then surely one of the new boys replaces him?

Any update on Lawless?

Gallagher bring out fir a few weeks means he’ll miss about 6 games! I hope Alexander knows what he’s doing but I really can’t get my head round why under any circumstances Lamie should be anywhere near the starting 11. We’ve signed Nolan, Tyrone and Foley who could all cover there or put Maguire back there. 2 of the new guys are only in the door a couple of days but Foley the best part of a week. Why have we had no update on Lawless either?

Who is this guy from Hearts? It of course has to be considered how difficult it is to attract players on our budget in the middle of a pandemic but why bother bringing folk in for the sake of it? Or announcing a crocked okayed is extending rehab time? It’s the equivalent of the club wishing a player happy birthday on Instagram. Pointless. Best St Mirren side in 30 years so maybe not that much of a surprise.... But seriously, if we’d won 5-1 at Tannadice then followed it up with a 2-1 win at Parkhead even I’d crack a smile at that.
