  1. Lose the next 2 and he should go.
  2. Didn't realise it was as bad at the time but check the highlights for Samson for the 3rd goal. He was standing practically at the post and the shot went straight through him at the very same post!! He's so bad it's laughable.
  3. Who knows? But when the team is as bad as they are everyone is under the spotlight.
  4. Wait, the young boy MacLean is a left sided player?! (My knowledge of the under 20's isn't up to date) And McGhee played him on the right?!?! In his home debut?!?! That's incredible.
  5. Realistically the only changes we'll see are McDonald in for Bowman and, if fit, Hammell to come back in. I wouldn't have thought Lasley would have 2 full games in him in the space of 4 days. Personally I'd have dropped Samson 6 weeks ago and I'd never have resigned McManus but the 2 of them are undroppable no matter what they do. I'd possibly try Lucas instead of Clay to see if it offers something different. Must win, but on the evidence of last night we've no chance of that.
  6. Our atrocious summer transfer dealings are really coming home to roost now. A shocking lack of pace and creativity in the team and answers on a postcard why Belic, Blyth and Lucas were a) signed and b) what we're wasting in wages per week for the privilege. How are we getting out of this? The keeper is murder, the whole back four are suspect, it's been clear since day one that Lasley and Clay won't do in the middle, we have no left winger and the manager won't play Ainsworth. Up front we have 2 strikers who in paper should be decent but that's not happening. Cadden is the only bright spot. Our home form is a disgrace and our away form not much better. More worrying still is even our peers appear to have something about them. So it's between us and Dundee to go straight down then with the other facing Utd in the play off. Great. The writing is on the wall even at this early stage.
  7. For those who weren't there, it's difficult to begin to describe how bad it was. Very very worrying and I must say that the writing has been on the wall from as early as the St Johnstone game. Tempted to say I won't be back so long as McManus is in the team and McGhee in charge. Well fans have been pretty patient so far this season but that was totally unacceptable tonight.
  8. Absolutely horrific to watch this. Relegation battle on the cards again.
  9. Accies beating Aberdeen. If it stays like that it puts even more pressure on us to get the win tomorrow.
  10. Humphrey and grimshaw start for Preston tonight. A reasonably rare occurance!
  11. We're only a few points of where we could/should be. By hook or by crook I think we should have a few more points on board. A win a home v Dundee shouldn't have been beyond the realms of possibility and bar for Samsons howler we would've got a point v St Johnstone. Small margins I know but if we don't emerge from the next 3 games with at least 1 win I'd say that constitutes a poor and worrying start.
  12. Results went for us this weekend but we need at least 1 win from the next 2 games. Ideally 2, but I'm realistic. I feel we're under a bit of pressure to start winning home games v our peers. I'd start the same team that started v Celtic with the exception of Brill in for Samson.
  13. Don't know what happened at the penalty between McManus and Samson but that is the single most avoidable penalty I've ever seen a team concede! Absolute shambles! Imagine it had still been 0-0 when that happened?!?! Pathetic!
  14. McGhee can play the youngsters from the start today but can't throw them on for the last 5 minutes at ibrox?!?!
  15. Don't care if Samson had a few good saves, time to see what Brill can do. At least we didn't get horsed but we badly badly need some points on the board. Could've done with St Johnstone beating Killie.
  16. I didn't realise that. Absolutely mental!
  17. Received it today and thoroughly enjoyed what I've read so far. More chuffed than a grown man should be to see my name on the back along side the players!! Well done to those who made it possible!
  18. Can't see anything other than an absolute horsing in this game. We'll be doing well to keep it to 5. Be tempted to play Samson one last time but Brill surely has to start v inverness?!?! I've seen enough to suggest McDonald, Moult and Bowman can't all start so it has to be 2 from those 3 moving forward.
  19. I can see merit in both Desp and Steelboys points.
  20. Not just his pathetic flap at Hearts first goal, but Samson also unnecessarily palmed a low cross into a dangerous area in the second half and when Watt hit the post he followed it up by slapping it out of play to concede a corner! Just catch the bloody thing! It's not a silver bullet solution to all our problems but its time to give Brill a shot surely?
  21. If you've bought a copy should your name appear on the roll of honour on the facebook page? Edit:PayPal payment hadn't went through. D'oh!! It has now.
  22. If everyone else can see all the above issues then why can't McGhee? The issues the team faces have been there since game one and are still going on now unaddressed. Not all the players who started in the Firhill shambles deserved to keep their starting place, yet everyone did!
  23. Away at a family do so not there and didn't get to see it so can't comment on the performance but we were shocking 2nd half v Accies and laughably bad v Thistle up until the end when we then only improved very very slightly so it doesn't really surprise me. Samson is a fucking liability and has already sold the jerseys costing us points v St Johnstone and needs dropped. If Moult was playing midfield as folk are suggesting then that's insanity! As usual McGhee waits till the game is beyond us before making changes and it isn't working and hasn't been, well, all season really. Getting spanked at home by team that hasn't been setting the heather on fire is poor no matter what way you splice it.
