  1. For me, we need a minimum of a point today and 4 from the next 3. And that is still a pretty meagre haul! Anything less than that and it's going to be a long long season.
  2. I think we should all take what McGhee says with a massive pinch of salt and judge him on results, performances and signings also I suppose. The fact is we lost a last minute goal and several players were apparently visibly exhausted and he chose not to substitute them. Had he made the subs it's entirely possible we would've held on or maybe we would've lost a goal anyway. We'll never know I suppose but it surely can't be preferential tactic to recognise players are running on empty but *hope* we can just hang on?!??
  3. Some good points. I'd have Laing in the team before McManus any day. Worrying lack of faith in the subs. Surely anyone of them could've been trusted to come on for even the last 5 and chase and close down?!
  4. When the fixtures came out I thought we should be looking to take a minimum of 4 points from the first 4 games so we really need at least a point from this lest it could be considered a bad start. We really should be looking to beat our peers at Fir Park though and Dundee are one of them. It's too early for it to be "must win" but we also have to be learning from our mistakes from previous games and the (possible) inability to pick up points will worry me if we're still on 3 points come 5pm on Saturday.
  5. I really really hope it's not going to be another season of late late costly goals.
  6. Why are so many players looking unfit in the posters who are saying so opinion?
  7. Same team as last Saturday then. Samson keeps his place after selling the jerseys?!?! Any word on Hammell or McHugh? If Hammell is to miss even 1 more game after today then we need to find a replacement asap as Chalmers is worse than a man down.
  8. I predict a carbon copy of the performance and result from Parkhead in this one. Hopefully McHugh and Hammell are back but no guarantee McGhee won't try and do something daft with the formation and/or tactics even if they are. Whilst he wasn't the worst player yesterday I'd hope never to see Chalmers in the team ever again. Samson should be dropped for his errors but probably won't be and sadly McManus is undroppable. When the fixtures were announced I thought/hoped that 4 points from the first 4 games wasn't an unreasonable target. Still achievable, but will mean taking a point of Dundee at Fir Park the following week. This is obviously doable but if we're sitting on 3 points after the Dundee game that would constitute a poor and worrying start. Need to wait and see.
  9. First goal went through Samsons legs. We already knew the second was shocking. Looks even worse on the highlights. Needs benched. Absolute liability.
  10. The whole team chucked it when they took the lead and yet there was still 15 minutes left! Where are the leaders?!?! That must be the easiest lead an away team has ever had to defend. No late flurry, telling cross, drive, fuck all! Last season when we got horsed by Hearts we responded by losing the next fixture 2-1 at home so there's the added worry this team doesn't bounce back well.... The whole back four is extremely suspect to say the least and McDonalds handball?! Sums him up. Samsons mistake for their winner was probably worse than anything I ever seen Neilson, Hollis or Twardzik do. Is Brill any better? Pathetic showing for the first home game of the season next week will no doubt be another insipid surrender and mauling.....
  11. Some reaction from Wednesday eh? Massive lack of quality in so many areas. 2nd to everything throughout.
  12. Tough game. St Johnstone are a decent well organised side. Hopefully we'll see a reaction after Wednesday but I've got the fear for this one. Chalmers in the stand please. Away win.
  13. Indeed. I wouldn't have believed we were capable of being so bad if I hadn't seen it myself.
  14. Colour me surprised that Rangers didn't get Aberdeen at Pittodrie in the quarters......
  15. Celtic have significantly better players than us and score lines like that are always possible but it's the manner of our performance in that defeat that is angering me and suspect everyone else. The lack of fight was criminal.
  16. Was just thinking that. Both much harder and more blatant that the penalty also.
  17. McGhee kept going on about how the 7-0 game last season wasn't relevsnt. Maybe he should've been hammering it home that another one should be avoided at all costs?!?! Embarrassing and amateurish display from everyone involved. Samson is murder by the way.
  18. Tait has been shocking. It's been a thoroughly amateurish effort from everyone actually.
  19. Watching this on a jittery stream. Usual insipid gutless clueless key stone cops-esque performance at Parkhead.
