I'm sure Ainsworth will feature at somepoint tonight. I'm not a fan of Chalmers (is anyone?) but I see the logic in a more defensive line up tonight. Just a pity McHugh is injured and it would appear Chalmers is felt to be the best option to fill in.

Somebody is lying. I suspect, and hope, it's the newspapers. Did we get a few for Pearson? He still had a year left so if not, why not? Same with McDonald. If he wants to go, the other club are going to have to pay for him. Anything else from our point of view would be madness.

On the face of it, it seems strange to sign Moore on a 1 year deal then put him out on loan, especially if Ayr aren't paying all his wages and our budget is so tight. We don't know the details though.

As others have stated, it's very difficult to call due many variables, known or otherwise. That said, I've got a bad feeling about this game, but I'm aware I usually feel/say that!

This post underlines just some of the upheaval that we've had to contend with this summer and most certainly will impact on the performance on Saturday. I will come as no surprise to anyone, but I fear a tanking on Saturday.

Now that there is a new media officer in place there really should be greater consistency across the various outlets about how signings/re-signings are announced. Twitter announces all of the signings as does the official site, as you would expect, but the official facebook page only announced the departure of Hall and arrival of Brill (nothing on the 3 players from England, Lasley or Hammell) and bizarrely the official Instagram page only announced Hammell! I know it's just a small thing but this is all really straight forward stuff and looks better when it's announced across all the outlets.
