  1. I don't think McDonald has been "freed", Hibs will possibly be doubling what we can offer him and we simply can't compete with that. Surely that much is obvious? For the record I'm pretty gutted at losing McDonald but money talks and we don't have any.
  2. Nothing about Hammell on official site/facebook/Twitter.
  3. Physio away to Aberdeen according to official facebook page. That can't be good? (Facebook page didn't mention Lasley and the other 3 players signing last week by the way)
  4. Were Hammell and/or McDonald given deadlines/cut off points for re-signing? I'm very keen to keep both of them but how long do we wait?
  5. Is he still following Hammell, Lasley and McDonald?
  6. When does pre-season start back? We ideally want the squad in place for them.
  7. The main thing is, are Rangers and Celtic happy with the fixtures? That's all that matters. On paper, nice easy first game for Rangers. At home too. No need for them to go to Pittodrie etc on the the first game and the first Old Firm game is ALWAYS at least 5/6 games in so they're settled in. The tail wags the dug.
  8. Did McGhee not say in the Motherwell times that the 4 signings were imminent?
  9. I hear you. Nothing lasts forever I suppose.
  10. Hammell and Lasley is particular have done more then enough for Motherwell to warrant being treated with well. They are modern day legends and it would be really sad I think if they left under these circumstances.
  11. Still no word on Lasley, Hammell, McDonald and McManus re-signing. Despite none of them being perfect and/or not getting any younger, that's a lot of experience to replace if they don't re-sign.

    Mark McGhee

5th in the league is absolutely fantastic, over course it is, especially after where we all we feared we could be again but McGhee has now presided over a 6-0 and a 7-0 to Hearts and Celtic in what must be our heaviest defeats to these, or any team, in easily 35/40 years. That isn't an enviable stat.
  13. If be more than happy for Lasley and Hammell to sign new deals.
  14. I find myself strangely relieved that the rout stopped at 7. I've seen the shittiest of shitey motherwell teams manage to keep it respectable at Parkhead. Buck stops with McGhee and senior players (and there were enough of them in the team, especially the "spine" today) for this humiliation. As I said, I wouldn't be tearing up trees to keep McManus, never liked or rated him, and it's just a pity Ainsworth and Pearson have another year left on their contract also.
  15. I wouldn't be offering anymore than the bare minimum to those out of contract after that today.
  16. At least we came out and kept it tight in the second half.... Absolutely embarrassing.

    Bob Mc Hugh

I would agree with that. For me you need to give a player at least 60/70 minutes over 7/8/9 games to see what they're like. McHugh never had that. Very difficult and unfair to judge a player based on 5/10 minutes as a sub here and there. That said, I don't really consider McHugh to be "one that got away", although you can bet that if Falkirk come up he's odds on to score against us! My lasting memories of McHugh are scoring the winner v Hibs in a 3-2 game at Easter Road after being 2-0 down at one point. I think that's the only time I've ever seen us overturn a 2 goal deficit to win. And also his pathetic penalty miss away to the Russian mob. Swings and roundabouts then!!
  18. Are we playing without a right back tonight? 3 at the back?
  19. Mark McGhee interview in the Herald today stating he fears the out of contract players won't re-sign. It's a bit of a worry to lose all that experience.
  20. Really lacklustre, shapeless and disappointing performance yesterday. I know that there wasn't too much at stake (other then a chunk of cash that could be useful to the club) but it's never nice to lose, particularly at home and certainly not on the last home game of the season. I had hoped after Ross County away earlier in the season never to see Johnson at left back ever again but I suppose he was actually quite entertaining there, initially. Several players had shockers and others just aren't very good. Ref was atrocious!! Probably the first "last game lap of honour" I've ever not stayed for but I was that scunnered with what I had endured that I couldn't be arsed staying around for it. Judging by the amount of other folk who also left at the full time they possibly felt the same. On reflection that wasn't very fair on the players and management who did after all secure a top 6 finish which is not to be sniffed at. With regards to the wall of stewards etc. on the face of it of course it seems excessive but folk can't be trusted and the club had to do everything they could, and/or at least be seen to be doing everything they could to prevent a pitch invasion. I hope that the netting was to show the authorities what lengths they had went to. I also believe if it hadn't been Sevco this had happened against we wouldn't have been threatened with sanctions. To offset the expense of the extra security, we've could've looked a bit more interested on the park in the attempt to secure 4th spot.....
  21. Aye, that's how it works. Yawn........
