Do we really only have 1200 WS members?!?! I don't know how/why the club think fan ownership is a viable option! Each of these members (of which I am one) could pay £1000 a year and it still wouldn't be enough. The club need to find a buyer for Les's shares.
  2. That Aberdeen game in 2008 is easily in my top 10 games of all time.

I hear you, but you do know you can just pay £5 a month? Every little helps.....

In a nutshell, if you're a motherwell fan, like going to the games and want to continue to have a club to support then you're going to have to join up to the society. No?

Well this is all very sudden! Like others have stated, this gives me the fear also. And like others also, I don't believe we have the fan base to make a project like this work. In all likelyhood, if you haven't joined the society by now you probably never will. Maybe the threat of administration will see a surge in membership?.....

Who said anything about being miserable? Read again. I said it would take the shine of the win a bit. A bit. And show that there are still twists and turns to go this season. But you found an opportunity to be a tedious cunt for the most tenuous of reasons as always. So theres always that...

If the scores stay the same and Accies and Killie pick up points that take a bit of the shine of last nights win. And also, unfortunately, confirm there was still more than a few twists and turns to go this season.

    I agree with all that.
  9. A massive massive 3 points and a win that surely means we won't at least finish bottom! With us now 10 points ahead of 11th spot, even I believe we have a great chance of avoiding 11th! It's Motherwell though so I won't be counting any chickens just yet! I thought it was a game of 2 halves last night. McDonald really should've have scored from a yard out though. I thought that was an incredible miss Utd looked much sharper and found lots of space in the first half and it was no real surprise to see them take the lead. Typical of Anier scoring against us after doing virtually noting his entire Utd career so far. Hammell should've played to the whistle though and got a block in. Someone of his experience should know that. I thought that we were a bit fortunate to go in at half time level, not that I was complaining. At the time I thought Dow had went in studs up and it was a foul. The replays show that he took the ball clean as a whistle and his food never left the ground; with his momentum felling Gomis. Ah well…. Great floated delivery from Law meaning it only needed a flick. Law once again was not getting close to their wide left player or putting any pressure on the ball. This has cost us goals ever since he came into the team and it's really basic stuff. The other other talking point of the first half would be McDonalds elbow. I missed it at the game and neither the BBC nor the youtube highlights show it so I've no idea how bad/blatant it was. 2nd was much better and I thought we could've/should've won by more. Marvs effort that hit the bar was going in until it took that deflection. The keeper was quite far off his line and it was a very clever effort. Paton, Morris and Anier should've been off in my opinion for a mixture of thuggery, rugby tackle/WWF style move and a couple of wee kick out off the ball. The ref seen all of them and shat it on all 3 accounts. They also left the boot in on nearly every tackle and for a team who were time wasting from the instant they scored to then be moaning when we were slowing the game down in the dying minutes was incredible. I was neither up nor doon about Utd going down but after watching them last night in which they are hands down the dirtiest team I can remember seeing in ages, it's a "fuck them" from me, essentially. Pretty decent support down for Utd, our crowd was really poor again. Hope Lasley and Pearo are ok.

Useless sheep shagging bastards!! Still, should give us some hope that we can take something off them in a couple of weeks. Do Aberdeen lack the bottle for a real go at the title? Or are they just a slightly better than average team?
  11. I hear you. For what it's worth is offer Lasley and Hammell 1 year extensions but understudies would need to be sought. He's been a bit up and down but I'd like to keep McDonald. I'd get shot of McManus in a heart beat as another poster posted there that he is easily the most disappointing signing, considering his supposed pedigree, I can remember us making. We would need some experience at centre half though.
  12. I think we'll lose this as since we beat them, Utd have had some fantastic results. Also because, if we win, even I will start to think we can avoid the play offs and/or drop, and that would be too straight forward for us! Draw wouldn't be a disaster just to keep the wee run going.
  13. Massive result. Delighted with that.
  14. The next 2 games are absolutely massive and once again, for me, fall into the "must not lose" category. Our points total against our peers in 2016 is pitiful and our record at New Douglas Park is absolutely wretched, however, that said so is Accies, so a draw here would be acceptable. Provided of course we then go on to beat Utd the following week. One game at a time though....
  15. Ha ha! I posted yesterday, do try to keep up! Nothing more to add than what others have posted. Hope everyone enjoyed their Saturday nights. Our first win in the league on a Saturday since Parkhead 2 months ago!!
  16. When it went 3-0 I thought we could get a point.....
  17. Accies have always been more than capable of grinding out results. I'm quite certain they'll beat us next weekend. That result tonight should be a timely reminder, if it should even be necessary, that relying on others to continually lose won't be good enough and that we badly need to win tomorrow.
  18. Certainly wasn't, but these things can often have no bearing so hard to say. What really matters is that despite Thistle probably having a smaller wage bill and less "name" players, they seem to have a more cohesive and effective unit. The result tonight also highlights just how bad we are as St Johnstones solitary win in 10 games came against us. I think it's safe to say Thistle are safe. 2 points ahead of us with 3 games in hand? Play off is between us, Killie and Accies I think.
  19. That's the the problem though, we can't grind out results! We can't see out games and by the time it gets to the last 5 minutes everyone in the team and stands will be getting very nervous at what's went before. Need to win. Got to win. Really have to take 7 points from the next 3 games v Thistle, Accies and Utd. Prediction? 2-1 Thistle with the winner coming in the 91st minute.
  20. I'd agree with you that Tynecastle was the turning point. Did the ridiculous formation/line up and subsequent mauling have the players question the managers capabilities? It certainly had every fan that day scratching their heads! However, heavy defeats happen, and it's up to players and management to respond to such set backs and get back on the saddle. Can every last minute goal since be attributed to Tynecastle? I'm not sure. Accies got beat 8-1 by Celtic and came out and got a decent point v Hearts. We got beat 6-0 by Hearts and responded by getting beat 2-1 by Ross County!! Has the loss of Grimshaw really been so pivotal? A young guy that had barely played outside development games and only recently came onto a bit of a game?! The only player we signed in the window looks awful at worst and suspect at best and we, after umpteen games this year are creating next to no chances per game, have several players continually under performing yet still playing and have completely counter productive substitutions and formation changes being made. In the games we have conceded late goals we have been, first half at Dens aside, woeful in the previous 90 minutes, so for me there is no progression in our play in 2016 other than for players and manager to find the cruelest of ways to drop points.
  21. McGhee doesn't have a clue. There's no progression of any note in our play since he took over.
  22. You need to tell me everything is going to be ok.....
  23. I'll be absolutely astonished if we take more than 10 points the rest of the season.

    Mark McGhee

We're no better than under Barraclough or the last days of McCall. A massive amount of the blame lies with the players but McGhee has brought absolutely nothing to the party.
