1 win, 2 draws and 5 defeats in the last 8 in the league and that's not even included games v Celtic and/or Aberdeen?!?? 5 points from 24 against out so called peers?!?! Conceding late late and costly goals in 4 of them! Jesus wept!!! That's horrific no matter which way you slice it. Sadly we're stuck with McGhee and the shower of clowns masquerading as players till the end of the season. I can't see how we're getting out of this to be honest.

Better start bracing ourselves for a 91st minute goal that sends us into the play offs or worse. Once or twice, shit happens, but this is a criminal failing that hasn't been addressed.
-
Beyond a joke. Normal service resumed. All the good work during the week ruined!! How many last minute goals conceded this year now?!?!
-
Need to take at least a point today. St Johnstone have been on a rotten run.
-
Hard to say. Utd just recorded 3 results that we couldn't do; 5-1 v Killie, 1-0 v Partick and got a draw at Accies.
-
I'd play the same team as last night. Hopefully get a point, but I think it'll be a narrow defeat.
-
What. The. Fuck?!?!
-
I think that's how they'll line up. It's an interesting line up. Let's hope the players know what they're doing as it's an unusual formation.

I think my ears are burning..... Breaking no stereotypes, but I'd say we were at crisis point. More so if we lose tomorrow as that will be 2 defeats to the 2 teams who were below us, nae points from the 2 games in hand we had, 9 points behind the team previously marooned at the bottom and they still have to play us twice, if results go against this weekend we are in a party if 1 in 11th, a manager whom very few, if any fans, is rated or liked and whose ramblings and team selections/tactics are getting increasingly bizarre, players out of form and/or incapable and a pretty unconvincing transfer window. If this isn't a crisis, I'd hate to see one when it does arrive! Just my opinion of course.

I didn't necessarily like or agree with what McGhee said or done 8 years ago, but my biggest reservation and concern about him returning is with what he's done in management since leaving us. And that is he has done absolutely nothing of note in management since leaving us to suggest he is a good or even half decent manager.

Someone mentioned on another thread that since entering the top flight in 1903, we've only spent 6 seasons out it! That's an incredible stat, and one that only serves to underline that whilst not being an all conquering club, we are a top flight one. Barring another administration, relegation is the worst thing that could happen to us. It would be an absolute disaster! The big fear for me is that we would be down for years like Dundee and Thistle were and the way Falkirk and Dumfermline are. You think we've lost a lot of fans after a couple of rotten seasons in the top flight? Imagine if we spent 7 years + in the lower leagues! Whatever happens, we need a total clear out, and if we go down it shouldn't just be the players.
-
We certainly are heading in that direction. It was only a few weeks ago folk were telling other folk to calm down as we were 2 points ahead of Killie and still had to play then and we also had 2 games in hand.....
-
Agree with every word. McGhee keeps picking them though. Add Law to that. Every week.
-
I agree with that to an extent but the crowd will also respond to what they see on the pitch. If the team had came out yesterday and looked even semi competent and at a bare minimum fired up, or even remotely interested, the response from the stands could've/would've been different. Emotions are now at bouling point due to the ever deteriorating performances and ever more alarm at the league position and what that means. Rightly or wrongly, the negative atmosphere didn't appear after one bad game or misplaced pass. Folk are worried, and they are rightt to be.
-
I would agree with all that. How Watt hasn't featured at all is a head scratcher. Sadly McManus and Law, 2 of the biggest culprits in the last 2 seasons, appear untouchable.

I can't see past anything other than a defeat and possibly a heavy one. Utd now have us in their cross hairs (and why wouldn't they?) and a win here will bring them closer and still having to play us twice! I think I'm right in saying that a defeat here would also mean we are the only team in the league not to have taken points (or even a point) of a team marooned at the bottom of the league for most of the season! What a rid neck! Typical that we were due to play them on Boxing Day when we were looking good. Sod's law. I'd be tempted to ring the changes for this and start with Ripley Hammell Laing Kennedy Watt Cadden Gomis Lasley Thomas Moult McFadden Madness? Perhaps, and I'm not 100% serious, but I'm sick and tired of watching the same players appear to not give a shit week in week out and watch results and performances get progressively worse. Utd beat the Killie team that comfortably beat us 5-1 when they met a few weeks ago. I know football doesn't work like that, but still....

There's no denying Barraclough was a disastrous appointment and had to go but off the top of my head McGhee has lost 7 games and I'm quite sure we didn't play as many games as that in August. Either way we're out of the frying pan and into the fire and the same personnel issues haven been eradicated.

Just seen the goals on sky news. Wait till you see McManus at their 2nd! He must've gave a good 10-15% effort in trying to close the scorer down then block the shot. So pretty much in line with his entire Motherwell career then. We're not at 1 point in 24 yet, but we are now at 2 in 15 and after Tuesday will almost certainly be 2 in 18. Not exactly a boot in the baws of that horror stat. I'm struggling to see any particular positive aspect at our current predicament and I'd personally rather call it now, rather than wait till Utd go a point behind us or we go 4-0 down to Hibs in the play offs.
-
Good point. We essentially are heading for 11th spot with the same players that got us 11th last year. It really shouldn't come as a surprise. We shouldn't have re-signed the players that were out of contract, but after the euphoria of the play off victories our judgement became clouded. And I include myself in that.
-
I dont know who that is but I don't think it's meant to be a compliment! Were you at the game today? What do you make of our utter collapse and free fall since we beat St Johnstone on December 30th? Great contribution to the discussion otherwise.....
-
Stopping short of a protest and baying mob outside the POD stand (which I'm not not necessary against) some sort of organised walkout is required as the custodians of our club are leading us into oblivion.
-
The board, for their second horror appointment in a row needs punted. McManus and Robinson causing all the trouble in the dressing room apparently.....
-
Walked out as soon as Killies second hit the net. Absolure horror show all over the pitch and nightmare scenario I predicted coming true. I'm done till McGhee's gone.

Knives are currently being sharpened for McGhee as it is. He was a devisive appointment as it was with many fans who were unhappy at his return being prepared to stomach it provided he got us winning and kept is up. As it turns out, in 2016 so far, his critics haven't had far to look for evidence to vindicate their original opinion and for me and many others he needs a minimum of 4 points from the Killie and Utd games for the knives to be put away.
