  1. I don't take your posts like that at all. We're here to discuss Motherwell because we care about the club. A minimum of 4 points from the Utd and Killie games would certainly go a long way to re-assuring me everything will be ok (although I still wouldn't be totally convinced....) so if you can sort that out, that would be magic! I admit I post and vent here when emotions are at their rawest. It's a valuable outlet! I'm afraid I will have to continue to post my undiluted not always constructive yet honest take on all things Motherwell.
  2. If that scenario comes to pass, like every Motherwell fan, I'll be hugely relieved, in fact I'll even start to believe it's possible if we take a minimum of 4 points from the next 2 league games. Surely can't say fairer than that? In the meantime, what counselling/support are YOU receiving that could allow you to cope with different opinions on a public internet forum?
  3. That actually sums up perfectly how I feel about Motherwell!
  4. Fair points regarding previous successful substitutions but I disagree that things aren't as black as I paint them. If Killie beat us on Feb 13th they leapfrog us and we go 11th. Then we play Utd on the Tuesday! How much bleaker would you like it?
  5. Pity some of our fans still don't. "But we've a game in hand!!"
  6. It would be interesting to know which senior players had a go considering most of them have blew hot and cold all season and are all culpable for finding ourselves in this dogfight. Singling one player out for a succession of errors from many fucking stinks.
  7. Critics of McGhee don't need to look far at the moment to find evidence that he was a poor appointment. We can't see out games we are winning and we can't grind out a draw in other games. Probably every other team in the bottom 6 can do the above with the exception of Utd (who have another notch in their belt that we don't have in that they have at least absolutely hammered a team this season!) McGhees substitutions are atrocious and do nothing to contribute positively to the team. Last nights subs were no different. Gomis for Moult moving Marv up front?!?! Really?!?! Then bringing Ainsworth on in the last few minute when it was clear you were playing for the draw?!?! Ainsworth is the last player we have at our disposal who should be brought on to shore up a midfield!
  8. I'd make changes wherever we can as the current starting 11 have been appalling in 2016 taking a pathetic 2 points from 5 games, 4 of those games being against our direct rivals. Whether the guys coming in are any better I'm not convinced but something has to be done as the current starting 11 aren't capable of winning games. I'd start Fletcher, Ainsworth, Gomis, Laing or Kennedy. Who drops out? That's for the manager to decide. The next 3 games will define our season. A win in the cup could set us up nicely for the must win games v Killie and Utd. Taking anything less than 4 points from those games will convince me we're heading for the play offs again. I think we'll lose this game by the odd (and probably very late) goal.
  9. Has Ainsworth contributed anything at all to the cause this season? I'm struggling to think of anything. No goals, any assists? You certainly don't get a shift out of him. Total empty jersey. He's the biggest culprit but we have many passengers and many players who are past it, not up to it or simply aren't interested.
  10. Whenever a game looks like it's heading for 0-0 we always find a way to lose it. Killie and Utd games are now must win and on this form I'm certain that isn't going to happen! I predicted earlier, and was slaughtered for expressing an opinion, that it was going to be a straight fight between us and Killie for the play offs. The players and management are certainly doing their best to achieve this. Absolutely unacceptable to find ourselves in this mess again after last season!
  11. Absolute disaster. Lost another "must not lose" game. Been saying it for ages. We're in deep deep shit. Killie beat us on the 13th and we go 11th.
  12. Absolutely have to take something from this tonight. I'd settle for a point (provided we're not denied the win by another highly dubious late penalty!) Like always, I have a bad feeling however.....
  13. Penalty decision looks worse in the highlights than it did at the time! And as others have said, ref couldn't wait to give it! 2 games this month now victories have been snatched away by shocking last minute penalty shouts against us. It's not good enough from the officials point of view and it could be really costly for us. January has been a really bad month for us and Tuesday is now (not that is wasn't already) absolutely "must not lose". Next 3 league games are absolutely massive. Accies may well be rotten but are now 2 points ahead of us! I have the fear it's between us and Killie for the play off spot.
  14. Robbed of the win by one of the most scandalous penalty decisions I've ever seen with 2 minutes to go!! Fucking joke!! Need to see why the 3rd goal we scored was chopped off. Would've taken a point beforehand but what a boot in the baws. The refs deserve all the shite they get for decisions like that.
  15. I hope it's off. The wind is horrendous.
  16. Some result for Dundee tonight against a very capable Falkirk side. That's increased my fear for Saturday x 10 now!
  17. True. But we were 3-0 down after 22 minutes. Hearts didn't have their man sent off till 40 minutes.
  18. That's the difference between Accies (and Thistle) and us. They are capable of digging in and getting draws. We are absolutely in the shite.
  19. Another "must not lose" game which we will probably conspire to lose more by gifting the opposition soft goals rather than them being fantastic. Everytime we play Dundee they are always just above us the league to the tune of 4 - 5 points which probably suggests they are a slightly slightly better team than us. They've also won games 4-0 and 4-2 which is something we can only dream of. They've also had a couple of really heavy defeats which we don't have to dream of.... I'd take a draw in this game right now. We absolutely have to start picking up points in games against our peers. 2-1 Dundee
  20. That was quite a frank admission I thought! McGhee also said he had no idea what was up with Hammell, hadn't checked up on him or why he even cam off. I'm calling bullshit on that. I reckon Hammell is fucked.
  21. Where's the negativity in my post? It's an honest brief assessment of todays game. Would you not agree that's it's poor stuff that we are continually suspect at set pieces and concede poor goals? That stuff happens to motherwell because we continually recruit poorly and are then forced to make do. What about not being able to even pick up a point at home against teams considered to be our peers whilst matching them in most areas? It's because of these faults that we are in the shit and will most likely continue to be in the shit.
  22. Thought we deserved a point today but we have gaps in quality all over the pitch that never seem to not be exploited. I thought Ross County were rotten, but are so rotten they are now 4th!! Disappointing that our heads clearly went down when they scored there 2nd. There was still 20 minutes left at that point and when we did get a goal back it was just two late. Really hope Hammell is ok as Chalmers just will not do. So game 1 of 5 down in the "must not lose" run and we lost it. 7 - 9 points is still the extremely realistic target I think we should be aiming for and anything less than that and we are once again truly in the more. We're still in massive trouble and today was a massive missed opportunity to take even a draw at home against one of our peers. Poor stuff.
  23. If McGhee was to play the same back four today is be tempted not to go! It would tantamount to throwing the game!! I'm quite confident that back four being consistently deployed would see us in the play offs for another year.
