I had heard that as well only they wanted him in January. That won't happen as he's already played for Sheffield Utd and has been on loan at Oldham and therefore can't play for a 3rd team in one season. It hasn't worked out for him at Sheffield Utd. Wonder where he'll end up next? Off topic, but I've also noticed Ojamaa hadn't even been getting off the bench for Swindon lately.

Not only has the ref fucked up and cost us points in this game, he's also hindered our chances of picking up points in the next game due to Lasleys suspension!!
-
Would agree with all of that. The substitutions in particular were awful. Robinson when you have Faddy or Clarkson was criminal!! Would like to hear McGhees reasoning behind that.
-
Stopped playing as soon as we took the lead. Look at totally different team from past few games. Accies time wasting is embarrassing.
-
I would be disappointed with anything other than a win to be honest. That doesn't sit well with me but they don't look great and we look much better than we had previously. Fingers crossed!

Cannae argue with that last night! An excellent, and for me, quite unexpected 3 points. No real failures in the team and quite a few stand outs including Ripley, McDonald, and Hall. Everyone else also deserves praise. There's no denying that O'Halloran and Davidson going of injured for them helped ou cause massively but you still have to beat what's in front of you. What a turn around! It feels for the first time in ages we can actually look forward to rhe games instead of dreading it!

Sorry I should've phrased that better. I didn't mean that you were having a go at the club. I agree that there could/should be a better system in place for declaring pitches playable.
-
I would agree with that but not having a go at the club. Currently sitting at my maws in Carluke as the impression had been given all day that it should be fine. Glad I didn't drive through hurricane Faddy for nothing, although I fear by full time we'll have wished it had been called off!!

How's the weather looking in the shire?
-
Some backlog of games if this is called off.
-
Ha! Indeed.

One thing is for certain if this game goes ahead is that'll I'll be out my seat shouting at Murray Davidson. He might be a decent player but he's a niggily nasty thug at times and sadly gets away with it.

A few weeks ago I had this down as a nailed on defeat. After the last 3 games I've upgraded it to "would accept a point" as I'm not greedy. Sort of demanding a win v Accies though!

That's true. But as Apu from The Simpsons says it is quite common in these situations to find a scapegoat or some other form of sacraficial lamb.

You just know that by the time this fixture is replayed Utd will have signed more players and have less injuries, and that's what's bothering me right now rather than my days plans being scuppered.

Poor show from Utd. I bet they did hee haw to ensure the game was on. Pish!!
-
I reckon the game will be off. Weather is horrendous.

Gordon was so far off his line it was a decent decision to try and lob him although the execution wasn't accurate enough. That said, check the space between Gordon and his left hand post!!! Ainsworth may well have been better passing it into the massive gap? In the end it doesn't matter. What a result!

Another "must not lose" game for me. I think Utd have won 1 in 16 or something ridiculous like that but by all accounts have been really unlucky in the past few games not to win when they ended up drawing or draw when they ended up losing. They clearly can't buy a win so it would be typical for us to lose to a team when they're on such a rotten run. You'd like to think we'll be going into this game fired up after some really positive results and confidence high with good recent momentum behind us but it's a funny old game as someone once said....If results go our way the league table would look extremely acceptable for the first time in ages! What a great chance this is to do that so please please don't let us fuck this up!! Athough it looks bleak for them I still think Utd will get out of this mess somehow. I can see them winning this fixture and then their derby on January 2nd which will keep them in touch. Hopefully if they are to go on a run it doesn't start until December 30th!

When things aren't going well I admit I can be on these boards quick as a flash to vent so it's only fair I now lavish praise on the players and manager for what is arguably the greatest domestic result any team can achieve in Scotland; a win at Parkhead. The fact that anyone rarely wins there in the league just shows how difficult the task is. There are premier league teams who haven't won there in 30/40 years! By all accounts we played very well and more than deserved it and from the highlights we possibly could've had another couple of goals! Great to hear so many players played well. However......all the hard work will be undone if we lose at Tannadice on Boxing Day. I was on the fence with McGhee returning and still have mixed views but his interview after the game yesterday is absolutely outstanding.

Fuck me! Surely not?!?! It'll just hurt more when the nick it in the last minute..... Ever the optimist me.....

Favourite all time player but I'm afraid he's past it. Very strange signing on the face of it but he could be of great benefit off the park. Due to my irrational love for him I'm still quite pleased by this news!

All the reasons people have mentioned for the attendances being poor are relevant and do impact to varying degrees but I believe the main reason is that the team have been atrocious, not up and down or inconsistent, but atrocious, for nearly a season and a half. The playoffs v Sevco proved that the fans are still there but for many that was their first game that season. The terrible start to this season (after last year) has tested many fans resilinance for another slog at the bottom and for many it's been a bridge too far and has forced them to walk away. I admit I miss a fair few games these days due to work but when I am there the spare seats round about me are everywhere and guys that have been sitting near me for years haven't been there for ages. Even the Bois section is noticeably emptier. It's depressing to see. The floating fans will only ever turn up for finals and Euro games (if we ever see them again!) but when the die hards and regulars drift away that's very worrying. I really really hope that we have turned a corner with regards to results and performances this season and this may encourage a few folk back but a good cup run may be more important than ever this season.

Fully expect a defeat here but hopefully we can at least avoid a hammering. Tannadice is the big one.

Wait.....is Robinson on a permanent deal?!?!
