Completely agree. Is there any other team in the Premiership (or in any other league?) saddled with this embarrassing stat? Pretty sure there isn't.

Apparently Inverness had umpteen injured players out yesterday which is worrying. -

First point. Totally agree. As much as we harassed Inverness at times they passed and moved and always got themselves out of trouble by doing so. They always dropped short and showed for it and always managed to find space. And that was an Inverness team decimated by injuries! On the other hand we were, and have been for as long as I can remember static, predictable and constantly tried to thread the ball through the eye of a needle! Chalmers is a terrible signing but in his defence quite often when the ball was played to him there was no one showing, dropping short of making and sort of run! He's not got the skill of pace to go by his man from a standing start (it's too risky anyway) so what are history options? Go back the way or punt it into an area. Same with Law. Everyone knows that Ainsworth and Johnson are only effective if the ball is played in front of them yet for the while game they seemed to be marking the full backs or received the ball with s defender closing them down. Point 2. Ref was utterly incompetent. Booked McManus for a strong tackle in the middle which I'm not even sure was a foul, second yellow for something equally innocuous but didn't book their player for a bad foul on Johnson in front of the Bois or even give a foul for a lunge on Johnson on the other side. The penalty was soft as fuck and retaking it was a joke. How many times do you see penalties being retaken regardless of players entering the box? Having watched the highlights the penalty was never a penalty in the first place and if it had to be retaken for encroachment the first so should've the the retake! McManus 2nd booking wasn't even a foul!! -
He wasn't the worst player on the park yesterday but is still clearly rotten. That much was clear after half a dozen games into his Motherwell career. To make matters worse Barraclough saw fit to offer him a 2 year deal, and that was after working with him for 6 months!! Criminal! To rub salt in the wounds he then signed Chalmers who is one of the worst players I've ever seen pull on the jersey. We have probably the 2 worst full backs in the league and possibly even the championship. Barraclough and the board have a lot to answer for.

There's no quality in the team whatsoever and some of the players and Barracloughs signings are downright awful. I had left before McManus was sent off but I wouldn't be surprised if he just went "fuck it, I'm getting sent off so I don't have to play for a bit". I curse the day he signed for Motherwell. A total imposter. 14 games in and we've only scored more than 1 goal in a game once. Embarrassing. -

Normal service resumed. Absolute garbage. -

I had a feeling we might win this, which doesn't sit well with me, so I am now utterly convinced we will lose!! -

1-0 Motherwell will do just fine. Need to at least pick up something. "Disaster" if we get beat would maybe be exaggerating but it would be hugely disappointing and certainly would undo the good work done in previous 2 games. -
You absolute beauty! Great 3 points!
-
Is Lasley definitely out? Has this been confirmed anywhere? If he is, and we keep the same formation, surely it will be Leitch who comes in?
-
Absolutely. Stating the obvious but if Killie win they go 7 points ahead. Other teams are picking up points and I still believe Utd will get their act together eventually. Killie have really turned it around after a dreadful start and we're playing them at a bad time. I admit it might not be "must win" but it certainly is "must not lose" in my opinion.
-
Wow! Been a while since I read post match reports like this!!
-
This.
-
Mind how everyone said Killie were shite and we're going down? They've certainly turned it around this season. Next Saturday down there is yet another game we'll be doing very well to get anything from. Just where are our next points coming from?!?!?!
-
Fuck sake! Completely on top by the sounds of it as well!!!
-
Completely agree. I mentioned this the other day. It was the same last season. It's a shite state of affairs where the best you can hope for is a narrow defeat and the other teams round about you not picking up points but that's where we are.
-
The continual selection of Law and Johnson in the starting 11 is as baffling as it's depressing. Same with Taylor and Robinson on the bench.
-
I'd bite your hand off for a point. You'd like to think we might start to see a bit of improvement but realistically still too early to hold McGhee to account. The blame is all on the door step of the players, Barraclough and the board for our predicament.
-
2 players you want fit. With the exeption of Pearson we wouldn't miss pretty much anyone else! Typical. What's up with them? There's been next to no word on the extent of Hammells injury and he's been out for ages. And that's after missing most f last season.
-
For the Celtic (and Sevco) fans I know or have encountered I would have it at 70% cocks, 20% iffy and 10% ok. The strongest condemnation I've ever heard of their songs is "I wouldn't sing them at the games". I usually then would put it to them "but you'd sing them in the pub" to which they would usually just wink and it would need to be left there.
-
You're totally right, but there are only 2 clubs who pander to these beliefs, act as a vehicle for them and exploit them (quite successfully) to their own financial gain.
-
A bit of topic, but I was flicking through yon "Well Again" book the other night. I didn't know this, but we only won 1 game in 19 at one point during the season we won the cup and our form in the league only really picked up when we went on our cup run. 1 win in 19?!?!?! Bloody hell!!!! Very few (if any) managers would survive a run like that these days! And probably rightly so!!
-
Ally Maxwell in the final. Of course! The "man of the match" to end all man of the matches!! How did I not think of that instantly?!?!
-
Aberdeen are on a surprisingly bad run but I'm quite sure they'll get their season back on track on Saturday. I'll absolutely sick of us being a nailed on defeat every time we play and we are once again relying on other teams dropping points in order for us not to slip into the bottom spots. With Killie and Partick appearing to have got their act together we have to start doing likewise. Utd won't be rotten forever either. We are absolutely in the mire even at this early stage that much is clear. Surely surely surely Law won't start? Same with Johnson? Any news on Hammell? Laing in midfield doesn't look a good fit for me. Who knows what McGhee will do but we need to start picking up points.

Cooper v Dundee Utd in a 3-2 win maybe in 1989? Faddy v Celtic the night Fagan scored in the 2-1 win.
