Must win and even if we do I won't be convinced this season will be anything other than a dogfight to survive. Certainly if Barraclough stays in post. Players have to take responsibilty but ultimately the manager carries the can. Surely Thomas and Watt will start?!?! 2-1 Killie.
-
These match reports make for horrific reading.
-
Even if we win it changes nothing. I've seen enough! Players need to take responsibility too.
-
He surely cannae survive this? Players are a disgrace aswell. So are those who hired Barraclough in the first place!
-
Got to laugh. Really strong team out too. Fucking embarrassing. Up there with Albion Rovers. He surely cannae survive this?
-
Totally agree.

The defence is too slow in every area. If you're going to play a big bruiser at centre half you need a Reynolds type fast player next to him. We have 2 slow big guys. The full backs are both slow. The centre of the park is too slow. With no creativity. They also don't protect the centre of defence. The 2 wingers are inconsistent and don't protect the slow full backs. Our best player is out of form and played out of position. We play with one striker who is completely isolated and unproven at this level. What could possibly go wrong?!??

I've seen nothing from this guy Taylor, and I mean nothing, to suggest he's any better than Shaun Fagan or Marc Fitzpatrick!! I wouldn't trust Barraclough to bring in another player. He's been given enough scope over the summer build his squad and even at this stage of the season we look like we'll need snookers to stay up. He is utterly inept and it is fucking infuriating to think we're about to go through the same hell as we did last season!
-
Correct. I said before today that we needed 9 points from the next 5 league games. I think we'll be doing well to get 1. Accies are certainly going to be no whipping boys as many predicted and Ross County look more than decent.
-
How long before the calls for his head begin in earnest? Will we need to be marooned at the bottom of the league? Is he just going to persist with the same starting 11 and formation in the hope it might finally click? Where are points going to come from? The players, especially the senior ones need to take some responsibility also.

Absolute fucking garbage once again. My patience is wearing pretty fucking thin with this team/manager. Looks like, even at this early stage of the season, that we are going to lose and can only hope teams round about also lose in the hope that at some point we nick a win. Absolute shite state of affairs! Do we also now require to score a minimum of 2 goals in order to get something as we're apparently odds on to concede 2 every week?! Losing 4 on the bounce is unacceptable and even if we win next week v Killie (which we now absolutely HAVE to!) I'm afraid it would only be papering over the cracks. The manager has been supported enormously by the board....umpteen new players, assistant brought in, goalkeeping coach. Nae excuses! We cannot have another season like last years! Mistakes have to learned from! Substitutions today once again seemed bizarre and this boy Taylor has contributed absolutely fuck all.
-
Did he at least touch the ball today? Fucking empty jersey!
-
1-1. It's been coming by the sounds of it.
-
Nae Fletcher again then. Has it been announced what is wrong with him and how long he'll be out for?
-
Is Fletcher still injured?
-
Has he even touched the ball yet?
-
Need to stop the rot here with at least a point. Kennedy in for Law and Leitch for Taylor please.
-
Fucking hell! That's quite a statistic! I still maintain he didn't need to make that tackle at Inverness......

The performance was night and day to the shite served up at Tynecastle so those of us, of which I was one of them, demanding a response to the midweek shambles at least got that. We also scored a goal of which I am grateful. I thought Aberdeen were excellent and yet despite this it was our own continual shortcomings which caused the defeat. The passing, both long and short was abysmal, we made so many unforced errors, we didn't get tight enough, we didn't track their runners, the decision making was poor and too many players either blew hot and cold or once again had off days. Maybe against a weaker team we might have got a result, but like v Utd, instead of carving out a draw we possibly deserved we once again gift the opposition 2 of the softest goals you're ever likely to see and are our own worst enemies. I thought Moult came on to a game yesterday the more the game wore on although he should've buried that header from Dom Thomas's fantastic cross. Clarkson should also have been on for him much much earlier. McDonald looked better playing further up but still was bettered by his opposite number far too often and as our "jewel in the crown" we need better from him. Ainsworth needs the ball played in front of him. We also know he has a shot like a cannon and it would be good to see him hit a few with any clear sight at goal, even from distance. Johnson despite his goal was very up and down. A bit like Humphrey, you can tell quite early on if it's going to be his day. Yesterday wasn't and he surrendered possession far too easily on several occassions. Like Clarkson, Dom Thomas should've been on much earlier. Lasley, Law and Hammell all had poor games. Hammell can do that from time to time so I can't be too hard on him. Chalmers is an option though if this becomes a habit. I'm sorry but Law is a liability. His unneccesary foul led to the second goal (should've still defended that better of course) I'd get Watt in there asap. Lasley was over ran in midfield so could possibly be forgiven, he didn't use the ball well when he had it though. McManus and Laing I thought competed but both goals came from balls in the box that are in their area. I haven't mentioned Taylor yet....Was he even playing?! Second game from him and yet to see anything, even a flicker, that he has enhanced the team. If I was Leitch I'd be beeling this guy has came in and started in front off me. I know it's only his second game but we should've seen something, anything even, to suggest he might be useful. Barraclough gave the same starting 11 at Tynecastle the chnace to redeem themselves and I suppose they did to an extent. The subs were on too late though and the midfield over ran. We can all see holes and failings throughout the game but I'm worried he can't. We've now conceded 6 totally avoidable goals in a week. The opposition aren't even having to work to get them. Not quite panic stations yet, but we have to stop the rot at Perth next week. As someone else mentioned, are this team capbale of grinding out a draw? Those of us who are clutching at the "we've played the best teams and weren't expected to get anything from such hard games" straws may find their arguement has floundered by 5pm next Saturday. Lose next Saturday and all of a sudden the Killie game is "must win". If we're still on 3 points after the Killie game we'll have lost 5 in a row ( a feat which depite being easily achieved on various occassions last season is something even bad Motherwell teams I've watched over the years have managed to avoid) and I'll pressing the panic button in earnest!
-
You're fucking kidding? What's up with him? How long is out for?
-
Really hope we had a sell on clause attached when we sold him. £1.75 million isnae too shabby when apparently he was only worth £100/150k when we sold him! Mental.
-
I would agree with that. I would also add that if we're still sitting on 3 points (and only scored 2 or 3 goals in total, it doesn't bear thinking about that we won't have scored another goal by then!) after the Killie game so many people's backs will be up (whether that's reasonable or not) that calls for the managers head could begin in earnest.
-
I agreed with your first post Graeme. Your second isnae bad either. I doubt your detractors were at the game otherwise they would be agreeing with you also.
-
I don't know about not giving a fuck but there's an element of truth in what you've said. It was the manner of last nights defeat which has set (possibly premature) alarm bells ringing. We were abject in every department and not a single player (possibly except Ainsworth and McManus) looked capable or even up for it. As an aside, anyone else remember McDonald booting the ball straight out the park from taking centre after their 2nd goal?!?! Jesus wept!!
